Hey bud like your channel im also a moble guy honestly you should always pressure the system before it gets vacuum it is a pressure system if you can put pressure to the system but don't use a air compressor
@xNightWolf95x The one I have now is 7500watt 12000peak. It a little big for just the recovery machine. I use this one because I am a weld with it also.
@patricelangevin9162 Adding oil will definitely not hurt. If you were to add oil, it would be added through the low side while it is under a vacuum. I have a tool for this when it is necessary.
@@patricelangevin9162 yes you need to add oil the saying is 1 ounce per component but the condenser he replaced was very thin a condenser that thin needs a half ounce of oil
@@RCGdiesel not trying to step on your toes but it is a pressurized system vacuum doesn't show if an expansion valve has a problem always put 350 pounds of pressure in a system before you vacuum it and thanks for the reply
@SimpleMan-hg3dx OH, I see what you're saying now. It was obvious it was a low charger because of the condenser leaking, so i stuck with the obvious. You're not stepping on my toes, bud. we are just talking, haha.
Nice job, I am enjoying your videos!
@kurt4equip Thanks bud! I am glad you enjoyed 😉
Stay cool buddy
@terrellscaife2411 You go that right bud!!
Ever have a slow leak you cant find? Start with the schrader valves.
Do you worry about compressor damage when liquid charging on the low side? I’ve always charged on the high side when adding liquid refrigerant
@ericnasset47 This is a possibility. I'm glad you brought this up. First, iv ever heard of it. I'll change things up. Thanks for the comment.
Never had an issue in 30+ years.

@SimpleMan-hg3dx You're the man!
@@RCGdiesel im definitely not the man but if there's any way to help somebody I'll do it 300 to 350 pounds of pressure
@SimpleMan-hg3dx You are the man. The simple man. Thank you for the help, buddy.
Awesome
I'm glad you liked 😁
How many watts does your generator or inverter have to be able to run the recovery machine?

@@RCGdiesel do you know how many amps the recovery machine draws? I want to make sure I don’t buy one that is too low watts
@xNightWolf95x Not for sure, but the machine I use is a robinair RG3
Seeing as it was a condesor, did you also do a reciver dryer?
@TI09NY Not on this one. I only do a dryer if it needs an expansion valve or compressor, and in that case, we would change out the whole system.
Nice do you need to add oil in the system?

How come you don't pressure the system before you vaccum it
@SimpleMan-hg3dx I check for a vacuum leak first and then charge the system. Charging the system puts it under pressure.
