Hi Taylor! As a Barcelonian myself, I recommend looking into El Poblenou (my favorite neighborhood and the one I currently live in). It’s amazing and close to everything you need :)
Taylor! As someone who only recently got a passport, I must say that I am living vicariously through you. Thank you for not only continuing your makeup reviews, but for sharing your travels! ❤️
I love the private enclosed patio of the fourth one! You could make that space such a cozy oasis! Also, it took me way too long to realize these were for sale not for rent lol
I love these apartment tour videos! I also love House Hunters International. It's pretty cringe with some Americans though. I think it is so fascinating that other countries seem to focus more on what there is to do outside rather than how many things they can accumulate to stuff a house that is too big. My uncle married a man from Spain. They eventually moved back to a small town in Spain and renovated a house that was built into a cave. I never saw it but my parents went and from the pictures they took, it was really something.
When my mom was alive, she and I used to watch House Hunters International. It showed me that many people around the world don't enjoy the standard of living that many of us in the US do. But they enjoy life anyway, and in some ways, their lives may be a lot better than ours.
This was so interesting to see. My dad was in the military. We used to vacation every summer in Barcelona (we're talking 1970's) while stationed in Germany. While I was very little, I remembered a lot about it.
I live in one of the top 10 most expensive cities in Germany (not very big though, about 250000 population) and this video is making me so jealous lol. Prices are much lower, quality much higher, you even get all those modern appliances. And most of all - the location and all the perks of living in a big European city with rich culture and exciting events happening all the time. I feel ripped off :'(
I ALWAYS look forward to these 'House Hunter' type of vlogs!! That show is always set to record on my DVR so I can sift through and see where they're showing homes!! I'm with you on property #2, hands-down the greatest IMO with #4 a close second but requiring some more storage options. Thank you SO much for these vlogs! Enjoy the sunshine in Edinburgh - here in Central FL, we're lacking that today... darn it.
Though I would never move out of the U.S. I do love to travel and enjoy these vlogs. These videos allow me to figure out safe areas to stay while traveling, and cool things to do. Thank you for putting so much effort into filming these for us ❤️
it took me watching TWO FULL APARTMENTS before realizing the price was in the thousands, not hundreds 😂 I was like "WHOA! $620 for a 4 bedroom?!?! *books flight*" lol Happy Monday, I guess 🙃 loved the video, as always!
In many Hispanic cultures, and maybe other places in the world, they use a period like Americans would use a comma in numbers. For example, $1,000 would be written $1.000 in a Hispanic country. $1,000.10 (one thousand dollars and ten cents) would be written $1.000,10 in a Hispanic country. Basically the opposite of what Americans do, so it definitely takes some getting used to! 😃
Yes, I agree. A LOT of places in Europe are still accessible to retirees on social security. I know someone who can rent a studio and eat well on her $2000 monthly pension in a small Italian town. Everything is relative
@@viannam5483 I'm glad for her. I believe that right now the exchange rate between dollars and euros is very advantageous to those who have dollars. That may not always be true.
I hope you consider going to New Zealand. I’ve been there once, and I’m going again in a few months. I’ve only been to the South Island, so North Island might be more your vibe, where Auckland is. I don’t think they are allowing foreigners to permanently live there, but they might be allowing people to live there on a limited time basis. Would love to see you travel there and get your thoughts.
Ahhh ❤my Sunday morning has just gotten so much better now that I have Taylor to enjoy it with. Btw, this video is perfect as I’m planning on spending 2 months in Spain next year Barcelona and Madrid possibly.
I LOVE BARCELONA!!! My aunt moved there after living in Calpe (Calp) for decades. I sometimes spent my entire summer with her. I'm definitely Spain bound next year cos there are so many THS homes, it's mind boggling.
I was JUST thinking about how I wanted more Barcelona content! Shew, you're living the dream sis! ❤️ From a long time subscriber, I love seeing your personal growth and adventure. Thank you for bringing us along for the ride!
I hope you got to see everyone in their kilts today heading to the rugby🏴😍 I’m am absolutely loving these videos of property viewing on your travels.
These apartment hunting vlogs are SO fun!! I love TV shows like this!!! You always have such interesting content!! I hope your health is good and your travels too!! Blessings to you, Taylor!!!✌🏼💚🙏🏼
I also LOVE House Hunter's International! So it was so interesting to see apartments in Barcelona! Such beautiful stone work, high ceilings but still felt warm and cozy with the brick and beams!🖤
TAYLOR!! Please please please visit Italy again in the fall or spring😩 and visit areas in the Tuscan region, lake como, or Amalfi coast. I’m sure you’ll love the weather a whole lot more and less touristy areas/season. Please I beg you
Thanks for the video, Taylor! Re #1: I wouldn't want to be close to the cathedral because of the bells. I'm a light sleeper. #2: I like it, but, no bathtub.#3: I like it, but unless I missed it, no hookups for a washer and dryer. Also, the flashing lights made me wonder if the wiring was OK. #4: No tub, but a dishwasher, and that private terrace is really cool. And again, no laundry.
Just saw that Ecuador came out with a digital nomad visa and I cannot recommend you to visit enough! I think as a single female traveler, you would definitely feel comfortable in Cuenca, which has a very European vibe. I also loved Quito and the camping I did there last year. You should check it out if you’re wanting to try somewhere outside of Europe!
Love seeing places in other countries! I don't think moving abroad is in my future but you definitely have sparked my interest. Hope you love Scotland! Edinburgh is one of the most beautiful places I have been (and the people were so welcoming!).
Barcelona looks like a beautiful place to visit. As far as the places you looked at in the video Taylor, I thought #2 looked beautiful and they all had nice things to recommend them. But, I could NEVER live in #4 for more than a week and that might be pushing it. Since I was in a massive car accident 10, almost 11 years ago, I have experienced claustrophobia. I think it's because I was crushed in the car and it took them a long time to cut me out but either way that last apartment looked like there were spaces that were so small that it might feel like I was going to be stuck and that would not be good. On a positive note, I really do enjoy watching these travel vlogs as you go from one country to the next. Thank you for doing all that you do. I still don't understand how you do everything you do with chronic pain. Because believe me, I completely understand pain and how it can tear your life apart and cause problems that you would never imagine could be tied back to it. Btw, I've been dealing with it since 2001so I do know what I'm talking about! ( My first accident at work caused nerve damage and fibromyalgia secondary, just for reference.) That was all before the car accident in 2012. Sending love, light and big healing hugs to any and all who need it, k
Thanks for making this video. We just got back from Spain a few weeks ago. Loved all the food and the culture. Keep up the good work with the variety on your channel.
So many interesting apartments, sadly renovations in Europe are 10 times more complicated and longer time wise because of the sturdy materials used and the amounts of permits needed.
I love these house hunting vlogs! House Hunters International is one of my favorite shows too! Apartment #1 was huge, that would be perfect for a family or someone who needs a lot of space. I think apartments 2 & 4 were my favorites as well. I love that #4 had the outdoor patio area and I liked the street view from the balcony. Thanks so much for sharing these apartments with us and so much information about the area. Great video!
My favourite part of Bcn is Pedralbes. Lots of parks, space, nice neighbourhoods, less touristy. The inner city area is too overcrowded for my personal taste.
Wow! I've been to Barcelona twice, Madrid once. I far far prefer Barcelona, it has a much better vibe. These apartments, especially #4 with the balcony overlooking an open area below, are simply stunning and for the location are not expensive. Thanks for this small look into apartments in Barcelona.
I want to visit Spain very badly! My ancestors were from there and it looks like an amazing place. Thanks for taking us along for the ride. Love these vlogs!
I was so confused at first, I thought you were currently in Scotland until you mentioned this video was flimmed a few months back lol. The last place I could see you using that patio as alternate filming spot. Like on really nice day's. All the apartments were super cute tho!
Most of my wife’s family who live in Barcelona have apartments in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat…most own, those who rent pay €600-800/month. We just returned from a 10-day trip there. They need to embrace A/C more…we stayed with my wife’s nephew…when they had the AC on it was set to 25c/77f…but the actual temp inside was 28c/82f….I could barely sleep; especially, the nights they said it was “cool” outside and had the AC off…with no air circulation. I’m used to having my AC set at 21c/70f to sleep at night. One of my wife’s nieces didn’t even have AC and we spent a lot of time there from mid-morning to 4-5pm (we usually left to go somewhere around 5-and didn’t return until 2am or later most days). I had to spend most of my time on their balcony as I couldn’t breathe inside the apartment. We looked at property to buy a 3BR, 2 bathroom (minimum) with land in the country there and plan to buy by the end of the year.
I love loving this travel life thru your eyes .. already told my hubby a couple places I wanna go and sent him your videos !! I love watching house hunters they show is awesome ❤❤
You could legitimately work for a tourism agency or a country. Wow! Your vids are so professional. Plus the country looks beautiful everytime. Love the food you always get too. ❤️ you are the best. Barcelona looks gorgeous. 👌
Your in Edinburgh!!???? I loooove Scotland!!!! Have wanted to move there ever sense we visited on our honeymoon!!!! Edinburgh is absolutely gorgeous. Well, the whole country is!

Yes but salaries are not as high as Germany. What she showed are mostly high end apartments , most people cannot afford them.
These are expat apartments. Absolutely not how locals live.
I studied abroad in Granada, Spain and the tension between Barcelona and other cities in Spain is insane! Loved your video!’

I just loved #2 and #4. Love the stone on the walls and beams. The balcony over the split street is cool too.
Finally price points I could actually afford myself 😁 that second apartment was amazing!
So far these and the Chicago ones have been my faves.

there are some strict rules under which foreign citizens can buy property in NZ and one must be a permanent, tax-paying resident
