What happens if your iCloud storage is full? Will everything still transfer or only the things that are on the cloud? Also if an app is offloaded, will it still transfer tot he new phone?
Vanessa Uzan whenever the last time you backed up your phone that stuff will only be transferred (say you backed it up in august of last year) you would only get stuff you had around that time instead of the newer stuff

If when you try to pull up the "set up new iPhone" on old phone and it does not come up, make sure your Bluetooth is turned on on the old iPhone. Now the "set up new iPhone" screen should come up.

Hi, I had no problems transferring/ copying all the data from my iPhone X to my iPhone 6s. No need to involve iTunes at all, and it included music files I hadn’t purchased on Apple. Certainly the Quickest way to go and, for me, it didn’t take more than 10 minutes. So, thank you for that.

@Brandon Butch, you can also set up the new iPhone X as a new phone, install iOS 11.2 beta 1, then erase all content and settings, and then back up from your other device which was running 11.2 beta 1.

I see soooo many "experts" make videos for newbies but they feel the need to go a warp speed. Here's the problem: this relies on iCloud. I'm not willing to pay a monthly fee to apple when I have my own cloud set up at home. trying to restore from iTunes to a new iPhone X gives error messages.

Hi Brandon, thank you for this video very helpfull. Got a question however. Do you have any experience with the banking apps restore? I wonder if those restore without any problems? Or for example those token apps that generate one time passwords. Aren't those somehow "tied" to phone serial number? And the second question what happens if any to the "old" phone after you restore backup to the new one. I understand it still works in parallel?
