Q: Will auto-lock cause burn-in on the screen?
A: No, not if you always lock your device. This is simply personal preference. I just prefer it off & have always done so for every iPhone.
Q: Is quality worse when changing to HEIF/HEVC format?
A: Yes, but barely noticeable. Just lightly compressed. The storage saved makes it worth it (file size is almost cut in half).
Q: How is the iPhone X more powerful than the iPhone 8?
A: I was talking about in terms of handling AR. They have the same internals but with the iPhone X you have biometrics & Face ID, which opens more doors for AR apps. It'll be all around better for AR.

Here’s a question and i’m sorry if you happened to cover in the video and I missed it but,
when purchasing an app or in-app item, does it require you to type in your passcode as well? Or does it just rely on Face ID? I ask because I’ve had times in the past where I accidentally click a purchase tab but with previous phones I could obviously cancel, but I also don’t really like the idea of having to unlock everything with the passcode even if the apps totally free. Hopefully i made sense lol
You can cancel and also you have to double click the power button for it to scan
The iPhone X will prompt you to double click the “power” button to enable Face ID for purchases before any transaction is completed. So no need to worry about any accidental purchases or anything of that nature.

Honestly man I was making a joke at first, and I respect your criticism as I was not special while making the joke.
I was using an galaxy s3 until today.....and before that I was on a dysfunctional iPhone 4.... so no stranger to cheapness & old phones and normally not one to go all out on newer phones.....but that being said, I happened to get a credit offer that allowed me to pay only 25$ a month (for 2 years) on a slightly used iPhone x that I got (@ a steal - hardly used mint condition - 256GBs) for 600$ on eBay with zero interest and of course without having to sign a contract or "lease" with one of those big expensive cellular companies (Looking at you, sprint, Verizon, at&T, etc) …….I figure it's just 25$ a month (I'd consider myself "poor", but even I can manage to pay that once a month, and my phone bill itself is only 15$ with redpocket….soo......) .......unless you have an EXTREMELY tight budget, then 25$ a month is not much at all for most people.....so why not. Needless to say it's a huge upgrade....but I choose an apple phone mainly because their value keeps up a lot better than androids....so I can always just resell it @ any time and get most of the money I paid (or erm...AM paying) for it back. I guess it's about priorities......most people who can't afford it outright don't go about it the way I did.....wouldn't suggest anyone in my position to accept offers from certain cellular who want the same amount per month... but only with a phone service contract paying 50-70+$ a month for 2 years (and sometimes you don't even get to keep the phone thereafter)....as those are scams pure and simple & a waste & a much higher bill than necessary.... but for a simple indulgence of having a way nicer phone @ less than a buck a day.....(plus with the great price I got, it'll probably be worth about the same I paid for it a year from now)...then why not.
I recommend the case and screen protector as well, because as of now the parts for the iphone x are expensive, the back plate is $520 (CAD), that's a fucking iphone 6s. Btw, another great video Brandon!

Apple care saves lives, $29 fix and can be done twice for the $29 rate before going up a bit

Heres how my process of getting a new phone works:
Step 1: ny mom telling me im getting a 11 hundred dollar phone
Step 2: me thsnking her and saying its dumb but whos complaning
Step 3: going on amazon and flooding the search with cases for said phone ( in this case, its iphone x)
Step 4: watching reviews and case collections.
And step 5: getting the phone, and the case and the popsocket because im a kid who needs extras.

I love this phone its truly a work of art so far .
So I recently went into great depth researching apple's new CPU and gpu which will be in the iPhone 8 and x, and I will started off with saying that I am proud of apple as they have significantly improved since their a10 and even a10x, and I did lie when I said the gpu would be included here, because apple has decided to reveal NONE of their gpu specs, hmm I wonder why. So, for the cpu, which I will be comparing to the Qualcomm msm 8998 Snapdragon 835, which was in the u11 and will be featured in the u11 plus, however the u11 plus will have the soc version, so for basic ghz rating, the a11 has a rating of 2.39 ghz at 6 cores, and the 835 is at, drumroll please, 2.45 8 cores, what a surprise the non apple product is better, so after that we have benchmarks, so in every benchmark above 720p the 835 destroyed the a11, however the one I did see where apple did win was the multicore geekbench test (on the single core the 835 had almost twice the score), and even this victory I expect is because the a11 is soc, so it has multi threading, and the 835 does not, but, this test might soon sway back to the Android side because as I said the u11 plus will soon integrate soc and therefore multi threading, so, conclusion, in low quality, apple surprisingly beats out the u11, which I expect is because the u11 is supposed to run higher quality programs, but almost everywhere else except the multi core test previously mentioned the 835 beats the a11, and now that I'm done I want to do a quick overview of the iPhone x vs the u11 plus, so u11 plus has a bigger screen, and more resolution with it, they have the same camera quality, although the original u11 annihilated them both, the u11 plus has a significantly bigger battery, more water proofing, a better chipset, and all this for 1000$ vs what I can assume is going to be 700 or 750$, but I still want the iPhone x for Christmas rather than a computer.
