I love these! I used to use one when I worked at Things Remembered a million years ago.

Hey Craig, great video. What cutter head would you recommend for engraving small plates that go on plaques and for the backs of metals? I have an old machine similar to yours and am figuring it out. Thanks for the video!!

craig...any idea why my engraving is running up hill? IE: the right side where I end up is higher that the left where I start?

The alignment of the main part that holds the letters must be off. if you look at mine there are ruler markings on both sides and these must be exactly the same on both sides or the result will be what you are experiencing.

It sounds like you didn't have the lettering bolted in properly and/or the armature isn't tightened up properly.

I can make one but is there a manufacturer that makes a pantograph that I can attach to my everlast plasma cutter?

I think I paid $150 but doubt you'll find one that cheap these days.

It's packed away in storage for the time being and so I can't look at it to answer your question. Sorry!

My family business used to have three of these pantographs in perfect condition. They were made by Hermes, we still have two of them. Their serial numbers are:
      TV482684 and TX-A-65808.
      Great memories with these machines.

doesn't show how to adjust the size of lettering or center the piece before engraving.

Sizing the letters is discussed at 5 minutes in and centering is discussed prior to this. I didn't go in depth with either but I think most people can figure it out based on the info given. Best way to learn is to sit down someday with one of these, study it, and try it a few times and you'll find it's quite simple to use.

Hi again..my engravograph has issue..the tracing arm has too much slop/play at the pivot. It can move about .080 before the engraving arm moves. ..and my tracing arm does not stay up on its own..if u let go of it...it drops to bottom ......any advice?
