As a Pistons and Ben Wallace fan, Duncan clearly held his arm down in that play. That said... Duncan was quite the dude with a weirdly underrated legacy by many casual NBA fans, possibly the best PF ever, anchored the Spurs dynasty, and was a serious frickin thorn in the Pistons side.
Love the video, wish you mentioned the robbed quadruple double in game 6 of the 2003 nba finals against the Nets. That was by far his best game and peak Duncan
@@loydkline That would be a good match up but money would still be on Duncan. He would just find a way. Plus Tim was a number one option for most of his career, McHale never was.
Love Duncan. My favorite player. That said, any Spurs fan knows that the #4 clip is not a happy moment because that’s the infamous Derek Fisher 0.4-second shot game. There are other happier Duncan clutch shot moments.

You notice not too many people are talking about Duncan dominating Kobe’s Lakers. I’ll tell you why, he didn’t, Kobe s Lakers were 5-2 in the playoffs against Duncan’s spurs. Spurs fans still feeling the effects of the 2001 sweep by LA and Kobe averaging 35ppg. Have a good day.
4-2. Would've been 4-3 if Kobe didn't suffer his Achilles injury in 2013. A major difference maker was Phil Jackson, who was a superior coach to Popovich during those early years.
I would take Tim Duncan over any 4 or 5 10 times out of 10 in any era. What he did with assisting the development of Tony Parker, Manu G, Klaw Leonard, etc., was a thing of beauty. Never seen a big man more valuable with his impact away from the ball. You have to go back to the likes Bill Russell and Wilt Chamberlain for a similar comparison there. Just unreal especially in an era with the likes of Shaq, Yao, Ben and Rasheed Wallace, C Webb, Dirk, KG, Kobe, LeBron, Iverson, Nash and so on etc. NBA hasn't been the same since

Love that you called the guy getting dunked on as "the other guy". That was Ben Wallace! 😅
Exactly what I was gonna say! Thanks for noticing! Not just “some guy”😂
Hall of famer Ben Wallace at that lol..
Ben wallace was a starter for the 2004 championship team.when i saw that play back then, i thought ben wallace is extra strong so dang
This guy doesn't know anything about basketball 🙄 😒
Another thing that is also amazing about Duncan is; he managed to remain with one franchise his entire career and gave them 5 championships!

Tim was the man at bank shots. I know that’s random but it’s true. Seems like he could bank it anywhere he wanted.
A nickname I never heard him be called was TD Bank
The big fundamental !

All day everyday, Timmy over Lebron, Shaq, Kobe, Hakeem, Dirk. He beat them all.
Hakeem was 87 years old
Prime vs prime Hakeem was better. Longevity of career/prime definitely Tim over Hakeem.
@joebuck4496 Hakeem was more talented but Duncan had more Will. He outworked, outsmarted them all. Plus Hakeem never accomplished what Duncan did.
Kevin McHale against Tim Duncan

What a heck of a player! Profile wise, maybe my favourite. Ahead the likes of Garnett, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen.

Tim Duncan was a solid player for the Spurs. Hall of Famer who went about it professionally playing the game.
👍
He's one of the best, one that reminds me just how much I love basketball and why
Best. PF. Ever.
This is why I would take tim over lebron, even with his size he was still creative with scoring & gave you 4 quarters consistently

I agree. Tim Duncan was a winner, and he nearly went undefeated in the NBA Finals. LeBron could only win 4 out of 10 of his Finals appearances.

The "other guy" on play #5 just so happens to be Ben Wallace, one of the greatest defensive players in NBA history.
"The other guy" Timmy dunked on, was Ben Wallace, only a 3 time DPOY
right, mostly said as "Big Ben Wallace" because Ben Wallace is a massive human being.

That psychology degree has to be good for something right?
@7:43, Shaq didn't even try to defend Duncan. I can't believe a few years later Cleveland signed Shaq, and hope he helps Lebron win the champ.
The other guy on the losing end of the dunk was Ben Wallace. Ben made him look small.
Timmy!!!
First time hearing someone call Ben Wallace "the other guy"...
Tim should of been a 7 time nba champion if it wasn't for the ray Allen 3 and fisher buzzer beater
That Ray Allen 3 never happens if Pop would have kept Tim on the floor. No way they get that offensive rebound. That was on Pop. And I love pop

Tim the funkin Duncan donut double dragon 1
Duncan is 2 - 1 against Lebron just saying
Didn't he also have a quadruple double game as well?
Nope 2 blocks shy of one still insane
They robbed him of those blocks. Tim got the quadruple double in my books
@@ragij23 he had 2 blocks that they claimed were not blocks?
Duncan > Shaq.
Okay, on Number 5, you say "The other guy" like it's not Ben Wallace, one of the best defenders in NBA history.
For point 11, wasn't he top 5 in MVP voting as well?
That was not a steal on lebron. Lebron shot the ball that was a rebound 😂😂😂

WTF you on about with #4 ??? You do not talk about that game, ever. How people forget about history... it's sad.
wtf he crossover lebron😅
Lebron is the oldest player with a 20/20 game now since he did it at age 38….
He was most definitely better than LeBron..
He was no Kevin McKale.
Kevin McHale against Tim Duncan??
duncan gakking slowbe and the shmuk was so gold
