I've seen these shots to the point where I can call out exactly what the commentators are saying and they still get me excited or yelling out Curry!!!!! So glad to be alive witnessing this generational talent. Truly one of a kind.
@@jasonochs8369 Steve kerr did play similar but no where near his level. he was a solid role player but had something to do with currys growth but Mark jackson should be the one getting credit for the warriors dynasty. He started the ball rolling. Traded out monte ellis who was pretty much a all star to take a chance on curry's style of playing. steve kerr did do good but he was just there right time right moment.
Fr, it makes me think of all the wilt plays that are lost to time. We all goof around saying "man, he never did that shit, show me the video." Because the shit Curry has done his whole career is on that level where if you were unaware you would think someone was bullshitting
I've seen all the great shooters. From Jerry West to Ray Allen and Reggie Miller. He sits at the top of mountain alone. He may not be the GOAT but he certainly is the most exciting player to ever play in the NBA. An absolute magician with the ball, a true class act, and a great ambassador for the game of basketball. A once in a lifetime talent that we will probably never see the likes of again.
Here's my conundrum. Magic was a pass first point guard whose scoring ability gets overlooked. He was for 19/20 points per game over his career. Curry is a shooter first but with so much gravity to manipulate defenses he can create plays and get guys open like no one else. So my dilemma is comparing the two when the debate of the GOAT point guard comes up. That being said, Steph is my number two fav player after MJ.
Look, your problem is that the game Magic played is very different from the game Steph is playing, apples/oranges. The way Steph is playing used to be called a "combo guard" - both shooting and dishing. The classic "5 starting roles" (PG, SG, SF, PW and Center) are gone: big guys shoot 3's, forwards sometimes (starting with Pippen, GS's Green, LeBron, Luka, Tatum, etc) are "point forwards," running the offense, combo guards, etc. The best from the earlier era would have adapted to this era, no question. So we all should ask: which 5 or 10, BASED ON TALENT/SMARTS ALONE, would be my top 5/10? And, because of the different kinds of play in eras, people will disagree.
@@ordinarypeople20 It's crazy cause combo guard is still really new too. As new as Chris Paul in the draft. I'll never forget when they said he's more of a combo. Crazy thing is I believed it. Fast forward 15 years and people were saying he's the last True PG. The game is always changing
No, the differences Magic got the luxury of playing with Hall of famers his whole career and Curry made Hall of famers. The Lakers were a championship team before Magic got there. Curry turned that organization up all the way
Curry is unselfish imagine if NBA had the hockey assist how many times did he create mismatches and disadvantages for the defense just to dish it off to someone who passed it to someone else for the open shot he'd probe lead the NBA in that assist
. 19 “Curry..left.wide.open !” I love his nonchalant body language knowing Portland was calling a to. His body turned before the shot even went in. The bench reaction was the absolute best. .7 Intense Curry put his team on his back and mocked Sacramento and their “light the beam” schtick. So many of these guys trying to guard him either end up getting their ankles broke or looking like ballerinas out there. Gobert, Marc Gasol, Lebron all the Clippers …..
That one where he spins around Randle was very reminiscent of MJ doing the same thing against the Knicks except he dunked over Ewing if I remember correclty.
There are alot of great players, but a few completely light the league on fire to such a degree that non fans start paying attention because of the way they play. Magic, Jordan, and Curry, changed the league like no others.
Stephen Curry is like something nobody has ever seen before. He can just pop up from the bench, take one step in bounds and shoot a three point bucket in one second flat. The man is straight outta of the genie's bottle except no smoke and no fog. Everyone sees exactly how he does it and it's not magic it's just skill. No man has been gifted with that much skill on the court. Stephen Curry is a real life phenom! They'll be making movies about this man and they'll do their best to find someone to compare him to and that's one very short list of players.
STEPH CURRY IS A OUTSTANDING YOUNG MAN,AND THE GREATEST BASKETBALL SHOOTER EVER!!! FALLING DOWN MAKING SHOTS FROM ANY WHERE ON THE COURT,AND HE IS A MAGICIAN HANDLING THE BASKETBALL. THE WORLD IS WITNESSING THE GREATEST!!! I THANK GOD FOR STEPH AND HIS PARENTS!!!!
I love Magic. He was a triple-double waiting to happen. But Steph Curry does things that most players simply cannot do. He changed the way the game is played. There is a reason that his signed rookie jersey hangs on my wall(lol).
Curry takes 1 or 2 Full Court Heaves every game and is STILL TOP 5 ALL TIME in True Shooting Percentage. Guess who else takes full court heaves regularly? NOBODY! #SC30 1 of 1.
Why do we get mad at LBJ for saying he’s the GOAT but Steph says he’s the greatest PG (we all know Magic is unless you’re 12) and no one says anything?
To be fair, Magic had a starting 5 of hall of famers playing with him in an era of less skilled players. (We all know the players these days are more talented and skilled unless you're delusional) plus the fact that magic had the advantage of being the size of a power forward playing against guards and curry is an average sized man dominating a big man's game and completely changing the way it's played because of his dominance
Steph’s ball handling doesn’t get enough credit. He’s right up there with kyrie and anyone else considered as the greatest handles in the history of the game
As salahsabiti6901 said, you cant compare magic and steph. Steph is the best player that played the position of pg. But magic is the best true pure pg, if that makes sense.
Yeah, that's one way to explain it....They used to call Steph's type a "combo guard." Steph's the best "combo of point and shooting guard" ever, easily.
And people still believe kd was the reason the warriors was unstoppable the league had been terrified of steph. .... If you want to be real this dude elimated jokic, Tatum, lebron, brown, Luka, morant, kd, harden, Ad, wrestbrook, lillard, paul etc the list go on he been the real boogeyman of the NBA and truthfully every one know it

When steph shoots the trey ball against Dallas you can see Klay on his left just stop dead.
