  • To follow up on my previous video on eye contact, I thought it'd be useful to share 4 more tips which I've discovered in recent years. These allow me to have more positive, relaxed eye contact and enjoy interactions more in general. Hope they help!

How do you find eye contact? What do you find most challenging or awkward?

Too intense or too weak eye contact. And don’t want to be vulnerable perhaps.

Thank you so much for this! I could not figure out why my eyes would just get out of control in a public setting. I could not focus on anything or anyone and when I did it would be a piercing stare, SO AWKWARD. I did not realize my mind-reading was just completely taking over everything! Thanks for these very helpful tips I appreciate you so so much! I am so glad I am not alone in this!

Hey, thanks for the lovely message Kim. You are most definitely not alone. More people than you can imagine have the same problem. The real key is to make the mind happy, positive and relaxed and then comfortable eye contact comes as a natural by-product. Best of luck 😊

Since breaking up with my partner, I have made an effort to be more social. I've forced myself to say things in front of large groups at work, and try and initiate conversation with at least one stranger a week. I've been more self aware too. Any time a cute girl looks at me, instead of thinking, she thinks I'm a weirdo, I think, she might be into me.
All these things have really made me more relaxed, and people actually come up to me and start talking to me, which never happened before. Sometimes we have to force our way out of our comfort zone, and flip the way we think. This has been my experience, and I am excited to see more life in the future. Thanks for the video dude.

This is really awesome man. Once we’re happier and more positive we start attracting good things to use. How have things been progressing?

I felt the need to comment. There is so much advice from people on social anxiety who have not suffered what real social anxiety is. It’s great to find someone who is genuinely speaking from his own experience and battles. Your journey seems a lot like mine. You could pull the same thoughts and feelings out of my head. It’s consumed my life and it can be an incredibly lonely journey. Thank you for your lessons and growth. If it helps just one person then you’ve done your part.

Great tips and good points. I identify with a lot of this. I do a lot of mind reading. I also don't smile and worse actually look cranky. I forget this when I walk around, but need to work on that.

I am a student and I am not able to make eye contact with teachers if I try to make,I will just stare at them making them uncomfortable. So I am just avoiding eye contact and looking at board . I am not able to make eye contact with my friends also.I don't know what all this .Why I am not normal? Do I have any demon in my face that people are not finding me normal. I am totally done😞😖
