Leigh Manasco Yes sir, I can add that both continued being 2 of the absolute best drummers. Dave and Matt both did sick work for Queens of the Stone Age. Nuff said.
The boys played their hearts out for their brother. Haven’t watched this in a while... still makes me tear up. Taylor did great... she was smart to watch Matt for the timing...
Lol I noticed her doing that. I've tried Rusty cage at Karaoke and it was horrible. The amazing thing... Is Chris wrote it with that timing. His mind was on a different level.
She nailed it though.. This is a hard song to feel. Chris was a one of a kind with his timing and phrasing... I wanna hear her do Outshined. I bet she'd nail that!
she has done pretty heavy songs. you should check out 'Oh My God' by The Pretty Reckless. that might be what you're wanting to hear from her and her band.
Its pretty though when you think about it, that Taylor Momsen said for years she want o play and tour with Sound garden and now she's standing there as singer of this band because her idol hung himself on a. Tour where she was the opener.
Nathan Healey I think you may have taken his comment the wrong way although I think I know where you were coming from if that were the case. She’s an amazing singer. Her vocals are soooo good. If you haven’t watched yet, chek her cover with her band (TPR) of “Like a stone”. There’s an acoustic version and the “original” version too. Both amazing.
She did a really good job on a really hard song to sing right. The timing on this song is tricky as hell. I wanna hear her do Outshined though. Her voice is perfect for that song...
agreed... She did a great job. She should try Outshined. Solo vocalist Victor Breithaupt recorded Outshined and Corey Taylor did the same with his band Stone Sour. I like both, anyway, it's worth noting that Cornell sounds terrific on the Soundgarden albums. There is no comparison. Only great tributes.
💔 Even after all this time, I still can’t make it all the way through one of his songs without nearly crying like a baby. Taylor does serious justice to the song!
I didn't realize on the live feed that she was clothed like Chris circa 1992-1994. It's eerie how she performs a bit like him in terms of body language. Especially at 1:51, that's typical Chris. What a beast Matt Cameron is, singing and drumming those odd meters like a boss!
Yes, Matt Cameron giving her guides on where to start singing the lines. Odd timing that Rusty Cage song. I loved it since the first hearing back in 1992. And yes, she mimicks Chris's moves.
Great tribute song to Chris Cornell, I think Chris Cornell would be smiling down from heaven,I saw him with Soundgarden three days before he took his own life, I was in shock, I like that can't be possible; never thought be last time I would ever see or hear his amazing rock voice 😢🎸🎤🎵🎶🙏😇😍😍😍🤘🤘🤘
Argh, I wish I had recorded this whole song! My phone cut-off in the middle of this one. At least I got Loud Love, though. Taylor Momsen did SUCH a great job on this one!!!
Chris's guitar on stage, brings me to tears. Nobody sings like you anymore,Chris. With that said, Taylor is as close to singing this as any male or female. She sings this effortlessly. If Chris were still here, Taylor would have been up on stage singing with Soundgarden on their last tour with TPR. I would love to see more of Taylor singing tribute to Chris Cornell with Soundgarden, Audio Slave, TOTD and solo acoustic. Great to see her back after that long dark night. Say hello 2 heaven my brother.... Chris Cornell
When I think of Matt Cameron this is what comes to mind...such a great musician. Has the ability to make an odd-time song groove like it is 4/4. Not to discount his contribution to PJ...but I much prefer hearing him play Soundgarden tunes.
I'm a hard rock/metal lead singer/guitarist who also plays drums, and he's one of my all-time favorite drummers. I got into Soundgarden right after Louder than Love came out, but I didn't realize how great of a drummer he was until I saw them live a few months later.
Matt Cameron and Jimmy Chamberlin are under the radar as the best nineties drummers. Those guys are as great as Danny Carey but they get overlooked because they played in popular bands that scored billboard charts.

I caught that too. Very tricky indeed.
i think matt has taken taylor under his wing these last nearly 5 years. that's why she's FUCKING RIPPED SHIT UP since then.
That's because she wasn't supposed to sing that, they only asked her to d Granger it the day before the show, so she wasn't really ready.

Teared up when I saw Chris's guitar sitting in its stand all by its lonesome. I'll bet it misses him, too. :(
Taylor's birthday present last year was one of Chris' signature Gibson guitars.
I miss him too..
That's his ice chest on Matt's riser.
It's too ironic. Chris's death was faked and now everyone is raking in the dough off the tribute shows.
On the Pearl Jam FB. That's his cooler he used in SG on the riser too. Irons held into it for all these years
Matt a total pro helping to guide Taylor into the first verse. Its really hard to get it with that time signature.
