If this is a petrol, the sound at 2:46 is REALLY bad unless it's tuned with sound change. The Petrol opel engine is SO clean in noise that this would have to be an engine getting into the trash state to make such a bad sound (super old cars with no repeated repairs). Or maybe 3 cilinder 65hp but that ons is damn rare (and if you drive normal revs no way it makes that sound). Ps i love mine.
Best first car is the Corsa D 1.3 cdti Ecoflex Active 5 door. 74 or 90 bhp. (94 when remapping the 74). Just 1 group (5) higher insurance than 1.2 petrol. £35 tax Vs £190. 49mpg urban, 74mpg extra urban, 62mpg combined Vs 36mpg, 60mpg, 58mpg.
literally saw this video by accident whilst waiting for my own video to upload and i have not laughed at a video on here as much as i have this one in a while. keep up the great work as this is hands down the most truthful review on an opel / vauxhall spanish product corsa d i have seen :D
I had the "blower only works on maximum" issue on my old Corsa D. It's to do with a fuse under the glove box. If you poke around with your foot in that area you can actually fix it for a while. I used to do it after work sometimes.
I've got a 2011 Corsa for my first car. 87k miles. 5 door. 1.4 so the insurance is very high 😅. But it's a great car and once the insurance starts to go down it will be very economical for me.
Just ran into this video being suggested to me due to the fact I believe I’m going to end up driving a 2009 1.4 petrol Astra as my first car, I absolutely loved the jokes and the skits woven into factual information. Then I was gob smacked by the fact you don’t have nearly as many subscribers as I thought you would. Stick with it and you will hit gold, no doubt about it.
Looking to buy a 2008 Corsa Club, automatic. 1.2k purchase price, is it worth it? 95k miles, not moved in a year... Everyone tells me automatic repairs are more expensive, how true is this?
That's a pretty decent price! Mileage is okay... Not moving in a year doesn't sounds ideal though, won't have helped the car. Automatic cars are basically more complex so it can cost more, but of course it depends on what breaks, if it's related to the gear system etc, so yes it can be true. Corsa parts aren't too expensive compared to other cars tho, which helps.
@johnson3231 Thank you! And good luck to you too. I agree 100% it's definitely a bit of both, I figure that's probably good tho, normally scary things are the best things to do (bet gandhi said that at some point!)...
@@RHanson. I agree, it’s a scary, but necessary part of life (not university, specifically, but the act of moving out). In general, I’m quite excited for it. Thanks!
@@RHanson. i had my corsa d 1.2for 3 years now spend almost 3000 euro on maintenance not only that it’s to slow it takes forever to finally reach 60 or 75 miles an hour the steering is horrible in my opinion i think these cars are suitable for moms or grandmothers to go to the shops or drop the kids off at school but other than that i wouldn’t recommend a corsa D for going to work or traveling to other countries. So like i said when im saved enough i will be buying a volvo or a Mercedes but for the youngsters i would recommend a volkswagen golf or a ford focus or a volvo s40.
Hi mate, yeah it's pretty decent! The best way of describing it is pretty average, it's by no means unrealiable, but you will find other cars to be a bit more reliable on average.
No, it's not the best first car for teenagers, it's the best car in the world for everyone 😍😍😍
Other than a Golf!!
@@RHanson. No, lot's of times better even than golf)))
@@corsik737 Agree to disagree! :)

I found an 1.0 liter one. Is it enough for highway + city usage?

Thank you appreciate it!! :)
First car - corsa 1.2 2008. In my heart.
Nowadays golf gti. Corsa prepared me for this monster 😅
Corsa vs Golf drag race, who would win?
On paper the golf and on tarmac it'll probably depend on which breaks last (golf?!?!).
Heard the SXI is a vast improvement on this regular Corsa, it doesn't have a speed warning that sounds like a carbon monoxide detector when at 70mph
That does sounds like an upgrade, I heard Whitney Houston was a big fan of SXIs too...
@@RHanson.The fiesta is miles better also looks alot better
Almost purchasing this for my first but hoping for reliability 😊
Good luck, enjoy! :)
hopefully getting one as my first car soon looks alright
Enjoy!
Are you going for the "I just swallowed a Xanax" schtick?

Maximum only means the heater resistor is blown. Maximum connects directly to the battery.

oil leak galore and no oil sensor to tell you that the engine is losing all the oil and about to explode.

i'd rather go for a 1.1L honda jazz of the same era, same price, more reliable, more economical, same insurance group, bigger.
Fair enough, can't really fault a jazz
i genuinely dont know if this was a sarcastic or an honest review, but i've had a few laughs
if you make some tv show, i would watch it
Haha I think honest, not too sure myself... But thank you!!

the car is so small when i saw the clip of you sitting on the driver seat I thought it was a LHD car because it looked like you were in the NS
Ok
just found this channel, great review, so keep up the good work. just a little jarring to watch with all the camera cuts.
