As a white woman in a relationship with a black man... Weaponizing the idea of calling the cops on him (which can ALREADY be very scary if you're a man being abused by a woman, knowing that the cops will likely see you as the abuser) is even more cruel and manipulative. He knew that he would be the one in MUCH more danger if cops showed up and she used that against him. That makes me so angry.

There's audio of her telling a friend or someone about calling the cops and she mentions that one time they said they could arrest them both, but the last time she was mad because they didn't make him leave HIS computer there so she could print labels. That tells me she wasn't calling out of fear, but calling as a threat. Then was mad when she didn't get her way. This man lived in pure HELL.

    • @maggiedk
      @maggiedk 2 роки тому +36

@@UnicornWranglerRed oh yeah, I'm not meaning to make assumptions about her ethnicity, I should've been more clear - I actually phrased my first sentence that way because *I'm* a white woman in a relationship with a black man and I'm very protective over him when it comes to cops and the dangers racism may pose to him (and I think anyone should be aware of these things when it comes to their partner), so as soon as I heard that she would threaten calling the cops it stood out to me.
But you're exactly right, and the fact that she's white-passing could still play into "vulnerable white woman" stereotypes and have led to danger for Von. It's so disgusting when people weaponize systemic issues like racism against their partners.

As a woman who recently had a total hysterectomy due to cysts, fibroids, and a myriad of other issues that were pre-cancerous I hate when people give the "it is because you eat this or you do this..." My doctor even said that it had NOTHING to do with my diet or exercise--that is was due to a number of factors that I DID NOT cause. Can diet and exercise give us health issues...ABSOLUTELY! There are many people who just get sick because of factors outside of their control. I know I did a ton of things to mitigate my issues but at the end of the day surgery was something that had to happen. :(

My sister (who has been vegan for 15+ years) had multiple ovarian cysts that burst and put her in the hospital within the past 5-10 years. According to Mrs. McCray, veganism should have prevented my sister’s cysts, yet it didn’t… hmmm almost like diet has no correlation to our genetic predisposition for ovarian cysts.

Around 50:45 she responded to a comment about someone having a gastric sleeve and quitting meat. I have a gastric sleeve too, and yes, sometimes meat (specially beef), is really hard for the stomacth to break down. After my surgery, I commented this to my nutricionist, and he mentioned that I could start reducing meat from my diet and see if I could adjust to a plant base diet, but he warned NOT TO QUIT MEAT COLD TURKEY. I didn't listen, i cut meat cold turkey because "Hey! I take vitamins and other plant based foods have protein too!"
After a little more than a week of doing that my body paralized from waist down. I went to the ER and did blood test analysis and came out that my B12 and hemoglobin were so low that my body was starting to shut down from waist down. I was terrified. I couldn't even get off of bed of my own because my legs wouldn't move, and even if someone helped me get up I would fall to the ground because my legs didn't have the strength to hold me up. I couldn't even brush my hair because my hands were starting to shut down too and brushes, spoons, pens, etc would fall off my hands. This happened on December 2020, and I started walking very slowly on my own again on late March 2021. Even to this day, I still have trouble when I want to run. DO NOT LISTEN TO PEOPLE WHO DON'T HAVE ANY MEDICAL TRAINING OR AREN'T PROFESSIONALS ON NUTRITION WHEN THEY TRY TO GIVE YOU A DIET OR NUTRITION ADVICE

EDIT: Finally finished with the entire video. I can only say that it's so sad to see such a level of delusion on full display for the world. "We were made to live forever"? No, baby girl, we weren't. It's my hope that there may be a legal method for her husband's family to have her ability to make his medical decisions taken away from her. There's certainly enough evidence from her social media and the like to show that she is not of sound mind. I know we all have a good time poking fun at the huns, but this one just isn't funny anymore. It's appalling.

TL;DR Absolutely. Both addiction and withdrawal like any opi. It also have a blocking effect, so you won't get as high as with the normal ones, and the ceiling effect is pretty low, so taking more won't help after a certain extent.
If someone uses it to get off something stronger, i guess it's a relatively decent alternative, but long term or as a stand alone drug.... my experience is that you should be cautious and treat it like a weaker opi, like codeine with a blocking effect. If you wouldn't start using codeine daily for relaxation and sleep, you probably shouldn't use this like that either.
Effects arr very individual and vary from source to source.
      Long answer/my experience with it;
      Definitely.
I'm a newly sober junkie and used it as an alternative for subutex for a h and fent habit going on on and off for 10ish yeqrs for a year or so.
Worked pretty good for that, kept my tolerance high, and the blockage effects were good enough to make relapsing almost impossible without taking super risky doses and I was in a position where that didn't feel like an option.
Gave enough stimuli to the receptors to keep my addiction manageable without getting me high as well.
However, after a year or so, I started losing hair and have some blood tests come back pretty weird.
There's not enough data on long term effects for it to feel worth it anymore and I thought that I'd be able to stay clean on my own by then.
I also had surgery coming up, s I decided to start taper off. Withdrawal was pretty bad. It's not as bad as h or fent but still pretty hellish.
Apparently, very individual, some people seem to have almost no wd symptoms and some have full blown h-level wds.
Didn't manage to get off it completed in time for the surgery, and it was a horrific experience.
I underestimated the blocking effects (different for everyone though) and the post op meds, even the iv fent did nothing.
I was an idiot and didn't tell them about my kratom usage, so after 3 refills they had to stop since I had "no tolerance" from their knowledge and it would be too risky to keep pushing.
Ended up relapsing on h "just this week after surgery, as soon as the pain subsides and I need to go back to work, I'll quit" 🙄
Too years later I sought out actual help and got on methadone instead. Not perfect, but honestly the best decision I've ever made.

The time, effort, and research you put into this is evident and so respectful to the family of Von. So, I just wanted to say something. And maybe this isn't the best place to put this, because I have no idea of you'll ever see it, but I feel compelled, so here we go. I've been watching you for a while now... maybe 4-5 months. I've seen some of your background videos and mostly watch for your anti-mlm content. I've noticed something about you that's different from other creators. You get a lot of push back and have even addressed the way you presented things in the past and how you're trying to do better now. But throughout it all, I have been able to vibe with you on a different level than other commentator channels. I couldn't quite put my finger on it until now, but- when you teared up in this video... that look on your face. You care. Like, you genuinely CARE because you've lived through that kind of pain. And so, I think that the thing that I've connected with in you is your realness. Maybe you don't always present yourself in a way that everyone likes, but what you present is a real, flawed, caring human being. And I say that as a true and genuine skeptic- someone that researches things to death and will not take most things at face value. You, dear girl, are real.... and I appreciate your content very much. Anyway- not sure what I hoped to accomplish with this comment, other than letting you know that I hear you. 💙 Thank you for being you.

Kratom can be addictive. It does have withdrawals including irritability, restless legs, sweating, cold chills, depression, anxiety, mood swings etc. A lot of people claim it’s was harder for them to get off of Kratom than other hard drugs. It all depends on the person. I started taking Kratom for my fatigue and anxiety not knowing it could be addictive and now I’m struggling to get off of it because of the withdrawal symptoms. My hair is falling out, I can’t gain weight, it’s made my anxiety SO much worse. I wish I had educated myself more before starting because I had no idea. I was told it was like caffeine addiction and it’s definitely not. I don’t advise anyone take Kratom.

Also thank you for how respectfully (and accurately) you spoke about addiction and substance use disorder… and you are absolutely correct that just because something is natural that it’s safe- opiates come from the poppy seed or plant. Many opioid addicts will use kratom to withdraw but end up staying on it because it is highly addictive- I know there are a lot of people who use it with no issues, but it’s just so EXTREMELY concerning and actually horrifying she gives this to her children including a 7 year old. This is in the open for the public to see- WHY haven’t CPS been knocking on her door? This is so so so sad. I feel like everyone in that house, including Von, including the animals are being held hostage. She feeds the dog the same alkaline diet with a little dog food mixed in!! The poor dog is having seizures and losing its hair. The 7 year old asked for a picture of meat!! I’m vegan and have been one 30+ years, the only one in my family. If I had children I would never push my diet beliefs onto them!! Their growth is going to be severely stunted- mentally and physically. I just don’t understand how this can go on for so long with so many people watching (all of her MLN team) and no one reporting. I know everyone says she’s changed drastically and she’s like a different person now but when people saw it going on they just looked the other way? I’m sorry but I’m a DV survivor and so many people knew and saw and I was pleading inside for someone to “but in” to my business because I desperately needed help but I was too scared to do it on my own or he threatened to kill my family. After what he did to me I believed him! Sometimes we should be nosy…. I’m just very sad for this whole situation and it’s amazing how one woman has control of so many people and all the damage she’s caused- including all of Von’s family members. It’s just astonishing to me…

Chelsea, I was so looking forward to this video and you have done an amazing job!! You mentioned an alkaline diet is followed by their family! When the body is too alkaline (alkalosis) it can and will make a person very sick and can even kill someone! I'm a dialysis RN and one of the most important parts of my job is maintaining and restoring the patient's PH balance, which is one of the many lost functions of the failed kidneys. Why would we have this very important function of our kidney's, to maintain PH balance, if our bodies function better in an alkaline environment? I bring this topic up b/c consistently having too high of an alkaline level in the body can cause confusion, seizures, numbness/tingling, tremors, light headedness, nausea/vomiting, etc! I have seen patient's have seizures who were diagnosed with metabolic alkalosis, so not only the exposure to arsenic/lead but also throwing off the body's PH balance with a high alkaline diet, combined with a bunch of supplements, which you truly have no idea how the body is processing everything, could possibly be causing their health issues and seizures as well! Very scary and everyone please take any health claim with lots of research and a grain of salt!! Alternative health/medicine is such a big money making industry now, it has become just as bad as the abuse of main stream medicine!
I recently read an article in the American Medical Journal about a healthy 49 year old woman, with no medical history, on no medications, and had no history of drug abuse, who was admitted to the hospital with metabolic alkalosis and come to find out, she followed an alkaline diet and was also an active endurance runner! It was determined that the combination of electrolyte loss from sweating during exercise, in combination with excess bicarbonate in her body because she followed an alkaline diet, lead to her developing metabolic alkalosis! Her symptoms were convulsions, syncope, and dysrhythmias that were resolved with IV infusions to help rebalance her electrolyte levels and eating a regular diet!
Also, thanks for calling out these "true crime" channels that just report on the same famous cases over and over, promoting lies and false conspiracies, all in the name of views, clicks, and money! What they do is harassment and abusive towards the victims families! Another famous case that has been exploited to no end is the Shannan Watts case! Shannan's family has begged and pleaded for the crazy conspiracies and harassment to end, and they have now sought legal action, which no victim's family should ever have to do!! I am not someone who supports cancel culture but I do support taking away a creator's platform who states defamatory lies as facts, abusing freedom of speech, and causing more pain to victims families for financial gain!! It's not "helping to solve these case," like many of these channels initially try to claim, however it is shameful, disgusting, and harmful to the victim's families!
Sorry my comment is a book, LOL! i just really appreciate the content of this video and who you are as a creator!! The promotion of these MLM supplements as cure all treatments, is not only scamming people out of their money and time, but quite possibly robbing people of their quality of life and health! Thanks for staying spicy and assertive!!😀

@@-kortnie Thank you for your sweet comment!🥰 I am so sorry you are going through this and being scared, confused, and having many questions is completely normal! It is allot to adjust to all at once! Words of advice, lean into all of the support around you, not only the healthcare team, but other patients, support groups, family and friends! Being able to bond with someone who is also doing dialysis, who knows what you are going through, can answer questions, provide support, and who can help to ease your fears can be such a wonderful gift when you are going through something so life changing! This may go without saying, but be as compliant with your dialysis as you can possibly be! 100% is not always possible, we are only human, however your quality of life, and how you feel will be so much better if you are active in your care and embrace these new changes in your life. I have cared for many patients, young and old, and when they adjust to these changes and actively take part in their care, not only do they feel so much better, but they more easily adjust to their dialysis, and are able to continue living vibrant and active lives!
Of course, this is not how anyone would imagine having to change their lives, but in time and surrounding yourself with loving, caring, and supportive people, you will adjust to the new changes in your life! Sometimes, people will not always understand what you are going through but don't be afraid to speak up for what you need and educate others, so they begin to understand, are more sensitive to your needs, and are able to support you with the new changes in your life! I also believe, sometimes people who love us don't always know what to say or how to help us, and this is why speaking up, and also asking for help when it is needed is so important! I absolutely believe that you will conquer these new changes in your life!! I have seen it with my own eyes! You are in my heart, thoughts, and prayers. Remember that you are not alone and continue reaching out for advice, love, and support!

I'd like to share my Kratom experience if anyone is interested:
I too fell into the trap of thinking that is something is all natural then it can't be bad for you and without doing much research I dove in. I have an autoimmune disorder called Sjogren's Syndrome and arthritis. I'm now 46 but started taking Kratom when I was 43 after I stopped breastfeeding my miracle baby (that's another story)
At first I couldn't find much info on how to take it or how much. The little bit of research I did helped me settle on starting with a level teaspoon 2 times a day, once in the am and once before my evening run. At first it was amazing. My pain was non existent and the fatigue I had suffered for ten years from my disease was all but gone. I started walking and counting calories and then moved into running. I had never felt to clear and motivated. I ended up losing 80lbs in 8 months, getting in the best shape of my life and running my very first half marathon. Something I would have never dreamed of given my conditions.
What happened after that is kind of fuzzy. I know I started increasing my dose at some point but it had to have been gradually because I remember I started going on less and less runs and my eating slowly slid back into my old habits. Somewhere during the pandemic I just stopped altogether. I chalked that up to my daughter starting to toddle (which required a lot more cleaning, energy, etc..), the stress and depression that came from lockdown and the fact that my eating had reverted back to comfort eating completely.
I tried several times to get back to my routine but I was so sluggish and weak and my aches and pains started creeping back in. Then the stomach issues started. Constipation like you would not believe, to the point that I was using suppositories, laxatives and on a few occasions (trigger warning: this is disgusting--->) I had to put on a rubber glove and literally dig the shit out of my asshole. Never in my life had I experienced constipation like this, it was /still is actually traumatic, I get anxious when I have to poop. Yet, I still didn't attribute it to Kratom.
Around my birthday last year my husband tried to plan a fun day/evening for me and it was all going to be a surprise. My inner self had changed SO much that the thought of not knowing the plans sent me into a rage. I absolutely lost my shit and ruined my own birthday. I had NEVER been so horrible to my husband but the anxiety and stress in my body now had me in a chokehold. My husband is actually a psychologist and only sort of knew I was dabbling in Kratom. He's a pot smoker so he wasn't too concerned for the same reasons I wasn't but after this explosion when I went to him on my knees sobbing to apologize, he told me he was really worried about me and had been for a while but that I had been so on edge that he was afraid to even approach me. I was taking 4-5 heaping tablespoons of Kratom a day by this point.
I have spent thousands of dollars on Kratom. My husband has no idea because I pay with crypto and he's not on my crypto account. I had found myself at the bottom of a hole that I didn't even know existed. I'm not a drug user or an addict. I never have been. So, I tried to quit Kratom.
I'm now down to 3 level tablespoons a day-which is still a lot and I feel like shit but I'm moving in the right direction. I'm trying to slowly taper my dose because I can't tell you how sick I become without it in my system. I no longer experience any of the positive effects. I have to take it to not get ill at this point. If it wears off in the night when I'm sleeping, I wake up sweating and crawling out of my skin. I get flu symptoms, muscle spasms, blurry vision, headaches and the horrific constipation that I'm now afraid may have damaged my colon permanently. I'm slowly getting there. I have a 3 year old to take care of so I have to be functional but I cannot WAIT until I am out from under Kratom. It quietly turned into a nightmare for me.
Kratom can do wonders but it can also LEVEL you. I wouldn't tell anyone to stay away from it because so many people say it saved their lives BUT if you do decide to try it...PLEASE do your research, join the reddit boards, talk to people, read about their experiences, LEARN TO DOSE and don't get your information solely from the manufacturer which is what I did. They don't warn you of the pitfalls.
I just wanted to share because I'm sure a lot of people are curious about Kratom. This was just my experience. One thing I've learned is that it affects people differently so you will find all kinds of seemingly conflicting information out there. Just be careful. Please

You're right it's not fair on the person who's sick...my auntie was on a ventilator due to covid 19 and we obvs wanted to keep her on the machine and Keep trying but docs said her lungs are dead and hard/stiff it'll be inhumane to keep her on it so we had to do the hardest thing ever and let her pass. It's incredibly hard and not a decision anyone takes lightly. When the medical profession mention this you know there's absolutely no chance not even 000.1%! She should let him go and be at peace as he's such suffering and it's inhumane x

My mom died in my arms from overdose, I performed cpr for what seemed like forever and emts arrived, they worked on her for a long time too. I was shocked that they got her heart pumping again but knew it was too late. Low and behold, days later she was declared brain dead and I remember having to explain to my family the difference between brain death and vegetative states. If I did not make the decision to take her off life support, the doctors could have petitioned to. Lots of false reporting out there contributing to this confusion. NOBODY can come back from total brain death.
Like damn that was triggering. I know how hard it is to see someone you love hooked up to a ventilator and it gives the illusion of life. The beating heart, the rise and fall of their chest… but the things that start to happen to the body when it’s ran by machines and there’s no brain activity is further traumatizing. I made the most of our last 24 hours together after her diagnosis and then I did the right thing.

This is heartbreaking, I'm sorry you went through this! I can relate to seeing a loved one on a ventilator and how their body starts to break down. I recently lost my grandmother who sadly went down hill after having heart surgery and was eventually put on a ventilator and declared brain dead! It is not how I would ever want someone to be mechanically kept alive and our family made the right choice as well!

@@lynnrn8252 Thank you and I’m very sorry for your loss. The break down varies from person to person depending on many factors so I pray you were able to have your goodbye without further scarring. On one hand I kinda see where Dre is coming from because those feelings are inevitable when faced with loss but man, we have to know when to let go and the story as a whole is horrifying. I pray for her kiddos.

A much needed examination of the entire situation. Too many creators are looking at this as a true crime in the making rather than a tragedy happening in real time. Yes, I have my own theories on what has happened, but it does no good to put them on five hour live streams.

Former mandatory reporter in Tucson AZ, and from experience calling child welfare multiple times, I can say that hearsay of mistreatment or neglect from someone who doesn't have firsthand contact with said children will be documented but won't likely be acted upon. In other words, making a report doesn't equal action taken on the authority's part. If a sheriff is called, they may do a well check but even that doesn't seem likely if the caller has no relationship or has ever interacted with the child.

"every single part of your body can heal but your brain." haven't she ever heard of heart attacks? when people feel chest pain it is literally because a part of your heart muscle is dying and due to ischemia. or how about, idk, kidney failure? liver failure? bowel ischemia? avascular necrosis of bones? All of which does not regenerate and heal.

Im glad you mentioned without a crystal ball. I couldn’t remember her name (I thought it was Katie something) but she really rubbed me the wrong way with the Gabbie Petito case. First thing she did was dox an innocent woman by going on a live and sharing her license plate number with her audience. Read all her info to everyone on the live and this poor woman who had no idea what was going on was getting every kind of harassment you can imagine.
THEN she lied and said one of her “haters” called the police on her and said she was hiding Brian in her home. She said the police and the FBI showed up in full swat gear to search her home. The police had to make a public statement on Facebook (I believe) stating this NEVER happened. Personally I think she should have been charged for this. It was when Brian was still missing and right before Gabby was found…the entire thing was for attention. It’s one of the most disgusting things I’ve ever seen on UA-cam. And it’s a total misuse of her platform. This isn’t the first time she’s been called out for her comments and accusations she’s made in her videos either…If I’m remembering correctly she was sued by Tati (that makeup girl I don’t know her last name). And this might not be true but I did hear some reality tv star was filing a class action lawsuit against her for her blatantly false comments..
Obviously she’s doing it for the views but it’s absolutely irresponsible as she’s purposely misleading her audience. I’ve never really watched her videos and the only reason I know who she is is because I was following the Gabby Petito case and a Florida news anchor called her out! After he said something about it a ton of youtubers made videos about her obnoxious lie and how she doxxed that woman..
Just like Drey, I don’t think their intention is to maliciously hurt someone, I think to them it’s collateral damage to their attention addiction. They want people to notice them and feel sorry for them, they want to be the first person that knows this “amazing new thing that you need to know”, and they want the highest view count possible so they can make money off of us. They’re banking on our ignorance to these topics so we blindly trust them because “they said so”. It’s really sad but both these women need some serious mental health help. I’m not going start throwing out diagnoses since that would be extremely inappropriate but I definitely think they have some behavioral issues that boil down to the need for attention…these are both very smart beautiful women and I refuse to believe they don’t know what they’re doing. They just don’t want to accept accountability…
Thanks for covering this CC. I really appreciate how you were able to hold Drey accountable as well as other you tubers who are abusing this situation. Your video is honestly the most rational because you didn’t “pick a side”…you criticized both parties since BOTH are in the wrong.

I know one person who was in a coma and she described having what she believed to be some minor awareness of those around her speaking but that it was incorporated into something of a dream she was in when she was closer to consciousness.
However, if he is brain dead he would not dream.
I don't know what I would hope for him. 😓

I'm only about 4 months late to this video, but I'm here because of Without a Crystal Ball. I'm aware of her legal issues and her lack of good and just plain decent ethics when it comes to "reporting". I didn't know who Dre and Von McCray were until I started watching videos from other creators who were trying to expose KJ for her lies and, well, retaliation. I listened to parts of videos from a few creators who weren't to the point or as professional as I needed to listen to. I mean, give me verifiable facts or don't bother. So then I found this video which I could listen too without cringing in disgust.
It was a very well organized video with facts. You clearly separated facts and opinions. You were so respectful of this tragedy and pretty much the destruction of a family. And you had empathy. That is the most important part of reporting any story, and I can't tell you enough how relieving it was to listen to your video.
I had thought this was some random family KJ had sunk her teeth into and wouldn't let go of. I had even heard that she reached out to the mother of Von, I think Leticia, and somehow a cash app or gofundme page was set up without their permission, only they didn't get the proceeds. The creator did. Of course I can only speculate, because it isn't verified well at all. Since this wasn't the first accusation of this kind about KJ, I'd been keeping my eyes open, especially after your recent video done on KJ.
The only reality show I really watch is "Sister Wives". I listened to KJ's recaps, and finally got tired of her throwing around terms that implied a mental condition the patriarch, Kody Brown, might have. She even got an email from a neighbor of his, and somehow got him to snoop around and take pictures of his property and then send them to her. I thought that was invasive and not a good idea. I commented on it, getting a bit of a snarky answer back which was funny actually. But she totally missed the point. She doesn't know how to be a good journalist. She doesn't know the 5 W's and the H. She doesn't even really know what a fact is that can be evidence, and how it differs from opinions or in her case lies. She hasn't got a bit of empathy and can't put herself in someone else's shoes. She is absolutely sure that she is never wrong and that she is bringing forth justice. Therefore, it only matters that she's ruined a family or another creator's career if she is being sued.
The point is I listened to you and heard this family's story. I began to understand the downfall of Dre McCray, and I felt the pain of Von. I felt the hurt and frustration of his parents. I got the real story. So I thank you for that. It is sad and a tragedy. You gave them the dignity they deserved.

I'm a kratom advocate and am actually involved in a study of daily consumers by a national institute right now. I take it as an alternative to pain medicine for chronic pain. People like Dre are why there's so much misinformation out there. It does work on the opioid receptors of the brain, which is why it works so well for pain, and also why it can cause liver damage, just like other pain killers. It has less side effects than prescription pain killers, and many choose kratom over prescriptions because it overall works better for them. I watched my father be bedridden with pain, barely able to get up for the bathroom, (meanwhile being on prescribed fentanyl and Norco,) able to get up and live a normal life by switching to kratom. He was up and dressed, cleaned his house, took a shower, made himself food. The benefits for those with chronic pain outweigh the risks, just as the risks of prescription drugs do not outweigh the benefits of being without pain. It should be regulated for these reasons, as it is just as addictive as other pain killers, and is absolutely not for children. I am horrified to hear anyone give it to kids. The American Kratom Association has had studies done and hired a very capable legal team to fight the misinformation and outright lies put out by lawmakers and the media, and they've proven their case so well that many states fighting to make it an illegal substance have lost that fight. The fear mongering reminds me of the cannabis panic decades ago, when it was advertised on TV as something as dangerous as heroin, causing death and all sorts of crazy things that we now know are not true. As someone who actually lobbies for correct information of kratom to be spread, including everything I just said about its addictive qualities, we don't claim her.
