If you were to tell me you where taking a Power Wagon down Behind the Rocks I would be impressed that you were actually using the machine in that manner and not surprised that you made it. You tell me your going down High Dive in it I would have called Rory to gave him a heads up on his next recovery. If I didn't see it I would never have believed it. Hats of to good Sir! You have a great set of skills and balls to pull that off. Very, VERY impressive!
High dive is not the craziest obstacle hit, 3 years later. Got through most of The Fallen trail before an accident with another rig and we called it quits at the Z-Turn. Hard Top Alley, was successful.

Absolutely, I didn't purchase a Power Wagon to drive on the streets, like my Nissan Versa! I paid for fun and I am going to have that fun!

Don't sleep on the truck. From factory they are great. Biggest hiccups are approach and departure angles. That is what is going to stop you from really getting rowdy. My truck was stock forever, before I moved to aftermarket suspension. John bull was my last trail on stock suspension.

Oh my god how is a heavy duty truck doing this? This stuff is supposed to be reserved for Jeeps haha. This is amazing! I'm really considering either the PW or a 2500 HD ZR2 Bison to build as a dedicated camper.
How's the highway driving on this thing? One thing I absolutely hate about solid front axle vehicles (like the Wrangler Rubicon) is the amount of wandering on the highway, especially if I gotta drive a long distance to get to the off-road stuff.
I was wondering the same thing. My 2020 Jeep JLU Rubicon wanders like Stevie Wonder roller blading down a sidewalk in San Francisco!!! Maybe the length of the wheelbase helps keep it straight. Hopefully the OP will chime in on this question soon...

Always, those things have taken a lot of hits and are holding up well. The only issue I had, is tight canyons, the kick out makes the truck a tab bit wider. I have gotten hung up, on the kick outs. But it's a trade-off, and I am not pulling them off at all.
Also I see you have 40's now . What upgrades did you make? I'm at 37 currently. And it's already leveled
Biggest upgrade was the front and rear bumpers, to improve approach and departure angles. Mercenary Offroad C Ram front and A-Bomb Rear. Cut 5 inches off the rear of bed, alone. Hitch is hidden behind license plate. I went with a Thuren leveling kit, with King 2.5 shocks. For steering, I have a Redhead gearbox, ported for a ram assist. running an 8inch PSC Ram assist. I have a beefy Mercenary Offroad rear diff cover. Still need to replace front diff cover, most likely going to go with an AEV front diff cover. I also have White knuckle rock sliders and a Dethloffmfg Engine/Transmission skid plate. I think that is it. All I can think of for now. When I did the upgrades, no gears were available. However, I hear rumblings that gear are now available for the 5th Gen. I will follow up when I have some monies to spend, again. haha
Wow. I have a 17 PW. This man has balls. I'd like to know the extent of damage. I'm in Hawaii and planning to ship to Utah in a few years to do Moab.
No damage on this obstacle. Truck comes with skids, if the skids getting scrapes counts as damage, that is the extent of damage. Your biggest obstacle, is going to be the front and rear bumpers. Absolutely, do not do any medium rated trail, if you do not want some kind of damage. Even Hells Revenge, which I would rate low, can give you a few dings on the bumpers, if you don't take the right line. Do what you are comfortable doing. Personally, I could not have spent all that money, to go to MOAB, and not do the iconic obstacles.

Yo, its a blast. Go with a good group and spotters. I will tell you to not take the risk. I was extremely lucky, the wrong lines and a bad pot hole, can cost you. You can hit most of the trails, without having to take all the risk.

What else are you running for undercarriage armor?
White knuckle rock sliders and dethloffmfg engine transmission skid. That was it, plus all the standard skids that come with the power wagon. Fuel tank, transfer case.

These are Methods Race Wheels, on the truck. It is a 0 offset, which pops the wheel out a bit. If your truck is still factory, there will be some rubbing with a 0 off-set wheel. What you would need to look for, is a positive offset wheel around +27 to be similar to the factory wheels. AEV makes 2 styles, for these beasts, with the offset in mind.

Drove it home to Arizona after. Now the next day . . . on Cliffhanger, I got into the driveline. That's a story for another day, but we found a driveline and missed day 4 and back on the road, in time for Moab Rim Trail.
