LOTM and ORV are getting anime. More webnovels should get anime too, especially shadow slave and the beginning after the end.
The challenge here is that ORV story is frickin complex. I'm really afraid the animation studio can't translate it well into an anime.

For that question, I would even recommend the same for Solo Leveling despite its anime being out, since not everything from the webtoon/manhwa is going to be used for the anime.
The same goes with the light novels to webtoon/manhwa, but I won’t force anyone to read the light novels unless they want to.

Anime seems much better, I have no clue why they decided to make it a live action, and a movie at that. They are also spending tons of money on it with a cast of actors like Ahn Hyo Seop, Lee Minho and Jisoo when there’s other manhwa that would actually work much better in live action that the money and efforts should be spent on

I expect either nendroids or figurines to come out with the anime now in production, so there goes my money for that on top of the books and Manhwa. I adore this series so much. Literally ORV is hailed as one of the big three of web novels along with lotm and RI and almost no other novel will ever come close to it in terms of writing amd everything.
I think you have not read thr novel and probably have not read past 100-150 chapters, cause at that point it is already way above the plot of your most anime and manga( probably all but there are many that i have not watched so i can't be sure)

For both of them and technically if ORV will have a full adaptation it will have around 150 episodes maybe 200 if they stretch it. But they can easily shorten it too. Both are slow starters. ORV gets better and better after the Demon Lord arc... Or do you want me to spoil who You Joonghyuks sponsor is? He sponsored his first regression till the end without a regard to plausibility. Or maybe who exactly is the Secretive Plotter? Or maybe the author of TSWA so. Just be silent and don't go spitting useless jumbo 😶

Personally the novel that got me the most after ORV was Pursuit of the Truth by Er Gen I mean all of his stories are really good but that one just hit different. As for Lord of the Mysteries 😅 it's one I did not get into cause circumstances 😅 now I for sure have no time to read it... As when I read those I am locked in and it's the only thing on my mind 😅 but I did hear great things.

Gigguk and vast majority of people only read isekai and regression manhwa, there load of other stories too (just a reminder like how isekai is not the main branch of manga industry, regression is not the main branch of manhwa industry just that there is a huge amount of work in that genre)

The beggining ans middle of orv were a masterpiece in my opinion, but the end was hot garbage, with a lot of plot holes and actions and results that don't really make sense no matter how many times you read it. I at least hope they don't try to Rush the ending of the story like they did in the novel if the anime ever manages to get to the end

All text from this point on will be spoilers for the entire light novel (551 chapters). This post isn't my interpretation. I copied it from subreddit of ORV because they really explained the ending better
Most of y’all have probably just finished reading the last chapter and are confused which leads to you searching up explained endings. I assure you that this interpretation makes the most logical sense, read through and you will leave with no questions about any event of the last chapters.
Kim Dokja was the Oldest Dream. Being the Oldest Dream is a responsibility that one person must take in order to keep ORVs world running. In ORV, ORV isn’t the only world that exists. It is part of a greater universe with countless worlds. Each of these “Worlds” have “World-lines”. World-lines don’t need any explanation. Worlds do. Worlds are like a main branch of a tree. The universe is a tree. It has many branches. A tree usually has a couple big thick main branches, and then a lot of sub branches that extend off of that, and then other tiny branches and leaves off of the sub branch. Think of the big main branches as Worlds. They hold and support the World-Lines that exist. The Main World-lines are like the smaller branches off the big main branch. These smaller branches depict a significant change in a worldline, (maybe a main character dying or some unexpected scenario). The other things like leaves depict a small change from the main World-Line (not world).
All of this is figurative but try to imagine it. A lot of worlds, off each world there are many, many, Main World-Lines that have significant variations from the expected course of the World. Off of these Main World-Lines you have countless normal World-Lines that have smaller variations. You get the point.
Kim Dokja’s job as the Oldest Dream is to “dream” and keep his part of the Universe alive, his part being his World he is responsible for as the Oldest Dream. I say World, because there are other Worlds, it was shown multiple times when he stared out the subway and the 4th wall also told him there were other beings like the “Oldest Dream” that watch over their own world.
A good example of Kim Dokja meeting a being from another world line would be that one dude that attacked him on the subway using the “thrust” technique after he became the Oldest Dream. When the Subway does an emergency escape by leaving the cabin behind. That being had multiple similarities to Yoo Joonghyuk. In fact, my theory is that he is the Yoo Joonghyuk from another World-Line. This “Yoo Joonghyuk” also used some sort of device in his world line to go search for Kim Dokja, (or “Big Brother” as he said it, he that our Kim Dokja was his "Big Brother"). This “Yoo Joonghyuk” also faced a tragedy on his way out from escaping the dream and broke his “ship” leaving him stranded out in the Universe. Only problem is that this World-Line “Yoo Joonghyuk” didn’t have anyone save him and he spent probably millions of years just around in the Universe having his mind corrupted.
Anyway, back to the point, the ending. Now that you understand the Universe, Worlds, and World-Lines, we can talk about the ending. Kim Dokja, knowing that his companions were going to save him, and not wanting his World to end, split himself into a lot of subconscious pieces and using the last of his probability he spread them out into another World. Key word - World. It is a different world goverened by a different being that has nothing to do with Kim Dokja's World. This “World” doesn’t have scenarios or constellations at that point in time, it didn’t have anything like that, it was just like Earth you could say. This will come in later. What Kim Dokja did was split his soul into hundreds of thousands and possibly millions of World-Lines in this world, in doing so he lost his consciousness and ended up as an unconscious boy - important part, remember it. Dokja lost his conscious self. Memorize this. He turned into an unconscious boy with most of his story missing. In doing so lost his conscious self.
You have to remember that the whole Universe is based on stories. That something exists if someone reads them. You could say The Universe exists because we live and believe that it exists. And that we exist because the Universe does. It’s a circle. Just like how ORV was portrayed. The Universe exists because we believe theres a Universe. But we believe there’s a Universe because it exists.
Anway, after Kim Dokja spread himself across multiple World-Lines of a World, the companions had their 2 years of life. Then the fight happened between Yoo Joonghyuk and Han Sooyoung. This ultimately led to Han Sooyoung devising a plan to get Kim Dokja back. Remember how in the World they are in, whatever the Oldest Dream dreams, happens. Whether that dream is conscious or subconscious. What Han Sooyoung wanted to do was have Yoo Joonghyuk travel to the other World that Kim Dokja spread himself apart in, then travel across all the World-Lines in that world spreading the story she wrote. The story of Kim Dokjas Adventures with them.
From here y’all have to pay attention. Yoo Joonghyuk then has his small accident, gets stuck in the void for almost a year, comes back, then departs again with the story, he finally reaches the other World that Kim Dokja split himself in. And then he spends at minimum hundreds of years spreading stories across the different World-Lines in that World. This is so the people who read that story wish that Kim Dokja has a happy ending with everyone back in the ORV world. Han Sooyoung hopes that some of these people possess Kim Dokjas subconsciousness. Because if a person reads this story has a very tiny part of Kim Dokjas subconsciousness, and hopes that he returns with all his friends, then thats basically a very small part of the Oldest Dream that is dreaming of Kim Dokja returning.
Now what if Yoo Joonghyuk goes across all these different world-lines containing parts of Kim-Dokjas consciousness and spreads the story. Which then has a majority of the readers Dream that Kim Dokja goes back to his friends. Now the conscious Kim Dokja would never want this. BUT, all the parts of Kim Dokja split across this World arn’t conscious, he isn’t even aware he exists. He split himself into hundreds of thousands or millions of parts across that many people across many, many World-Lines.
Basically even if the person who is reading the story has part of Kim Dokja in them they wouldn’t know that they have him in them. The reader is a story too in the end, a miniscule particle of Kim Dokja wouldn’t really know that it’s Kim Dokja, it doesn’t have enough story to think that, so it thinks its part of the readers story (or body). But the part of Kim Dokja still retains the power of the Oldest Dream but is now in the story (body) of some random person. Yoo Joonghyuk basically made all these random people that are reading the story of their world believe and wish for Kim Dokja to return, and these people unknowingly triggered the subconscious to dream about Kim Dokja returning.
And also, Kim Dokja now only exists subconsciously, his conscious body and thoughts disappeared when he split in the subway. Since his conscious will can’t oppose this unconscious force, he subconsciously "Dreamed" of himself returning to his friends. All the readers unconsciously Dreamed about Kim Dokja going back . This awakened Kim Dokja in the hospital room, thus making him conscious. It seperated his Conscious self from his Unconscious self, and made him return. The world still continues on because millions of his subconscious still exist dreaming about the world. But his conscious isn’t dreaming about anything because it is now seperated because of his unconscious self. So his subconscious basically is carrying the world. While the conscious Kim Dokja lives a free man. Han Sooyoung said 99 percent of Kim Dokja is back but is missing that 1 percent. That one percent is the subconscious scattered across the Universe.

They could see Lee Seolhwa's hospital in the distance. Stories leisurely streaming there guided them. Stories were gathering towards the hospital ward they were all intimately familiar with."

The quote you guys saw is her thinking about her method to bring Kim Dokja back. She knows her method wouldn't bring the entirety of Kim Dokja back. Only 99%. She knows that some of Dokja wouldn't come back. That 1% being stuff that noone except Dokja knows. She plans to bring 99% back with memories of everyone in her story but there are some things that people don't tell anyone. So she was thinking about how to bring the entirety of Dokja back. She had a thought... The unconscious Kim Dokja knows that missing one percent her story couldn't cover. Which leads to a whole complete Kim Dokja with his free will seperated by some unconscious being.
Remember I talked about how the World Kim Dokja split to was really similar to earth, that World was also in the year “2020”. Also remember how there were an extremely large amount of people split across World-Lines in that World that hoped Kim Dokja went back to his friends. And remember how those people had that feeling of wanting Kim Dokja to go back and enjoy his time with his friends because of a certain book that Yoo Joonghyuk spread. Also remember how those people that had Kim Dokja’s subconscious didn’t know they had it because it was a miniscule particle of a story. See how that ties in together.
Remember how in the book of ORV, the random quotes that showed up when Han Sooyoung was writing were also wrote in ORV. Yeah, you are thinking right. The book that Yoo Joonghyuk spread is ORV. The World he spread it in was Earth. It was in multiple World-Lines of our World Earth. The people that read it are US. The people that parts of Kim Dokja’s subconsciousness exist in are US. We are the readers that hoped for Kim Dokja to go back to his friends, we wanted him to have a happy life, and the subconscious Kim Dokja, that is a part of us, obliged. We collectively helped him go back, is the point the author wanted to make.
Also you might be thinking it doesn’t make sense, because we saw how Kim Dokja went back and had a reaction, that couldn't be a part of a book that Han Sooyoung wrote. I was into the story up until they got shrunk. Then it lost me. Plus it was kinda dumb how he’d randomly somehow have buffs that we never saw him get like suddenly he’d have “projectile immunity lvl 8” and I’m like, I’m sorry? Weren’t we here for this man’s whole journey? When the f*ck did he get that?

Honestly I think it generally depends on the skill of at the artist as well as context of what is being drawn, seen a good chunk of manhwas, manhua and manga and how bad and how good they can be. it's a two way street ngl.
