As a fellow metalhead, I can tell you Angelina is one of those special artists that can drag people out of whatever genre they 'identify' with. There is something so real, and so raw about her voice, that it is just captivating on some core human level. It doesn't matter if you are into metal, hiphop, opera, or country. When Angelina Jordan sings, you _have_ to stop and listen. I think part of it stems from her beautiful soul. She has this peaceful, loving presence about her that comes through in her singing, and it just draws you in. Most of us were dumbfounded when we saw this. Queen posted its blessing of her performance on Twitter. Angelina began checking out classic jazz artists on an IPad when she was a toddler. She belted out some Whitney Houston on a mike at 18 months. At 6 she began studio work, entered Norway's Got Talent at 7 and won that at 8. AJ explores various music genres and is fearless in challenging cover songs. She has fans all over the world but the fan base exploded after her appearance on AGT Champions. Keep at it. I believe that the rarest, the greatest talent and the most impressive in this young girl is her personality. I know of another metalhead that fell prey of Angelina's clutches, charisma and her soul-touching voice and that of course you guessed it, it's me, I mostly love Metal in almost all its branches, and for me to like something else it needs to be really attracting, I'm not close minded because I like many other genres but just a few of their songs, so as you can imagine, this was meant to be, all I had to do was listen to Angelina one time only and that was it, I mean, regardless of your music preference, you can't definitely ignore talent, not at this level, never; it took me just one video to get trapped by Angelina's charm, the first seconds of the video I started to feel something but I was on denial, I was like, no, this can't be, but by the end of the video, Angelina's job was done on me, I just let myself go and from that day on I just stopped resisting her I knew she had me and I've been watching her progress ever since, although I stopped for a couple of years but like I said, she had me so I came back around 2 years ago and boy have I enjoyed every second since I did, so I totally get you, even metalheads fall victims to Angelina and that is saying a lot.
There is a difference between a singer and an artist. Singer can change the colors of a song and make it her style, but the intent is still with original singer. An artist can take the same song, rearranges the colors and applies different strokes, and created a new song with vastly different outlook. The signature of this Bohemian Rhapsody still belongs to Queens / Freddie Mercury, but the definition is all defined by Angelina.
She really has the talent and great voice. Speaking with my feeling, the song didn't hit me that hard, because she sang it a little bit over the hill, I don't know how I have to explain. Yes I think she needed to stay a bit more in her "own" style. Oh and speaking about Freddie Mercury, he did such a great Popera with Montserrat Caballé named Barcelona. As a fellow metalhead, I can tell you Angelina is one of those special artists that can drag people out of whatever genre they 'identify' with. There is something so real, and so raw about her voice, that it is just captivating on some core human level. It doesn't matter if you are into metal, hiphop, opera, or country. When Angelina Jordan sings, you _have_ to stop and listen. I think part of it stems from her beautiful soul. She has this peaceful, loving presence about her that comes through in her singing, and it just draws you in. You have about a hundred more amazing performances to hear from Angelina, and they are all gold. So whatever you decide to do next is going to be a winner. I'll look forward to it :)

Most of us were dumbfounded when we saw this. Queen posted its blessing of her performance on Twitter. Angelina began checking out classic jazz artists on an IPad when she was a toddler. She belted out some Whitney Houston on a mike at 18 months. At 6 she began studio work, entered Norway's Got Talent at 7 and won that at 8. AJ explores various music genres and is fearless in challenging cover songs. She has fans all over the world but the fan base exploded after her appearance on AGT Champions. Keep at it. She says she is never nervous when she is singing, she has sung in front of much bigger personalities than Simon and much larger crowds than in this theater. She performed for (and at the request of) Quincy Jones for his big 85th birthday celebration in London a couple years ago (20,000+ people.) She has performed for Presidents, royalty, Nobel Peace Prize winners; in Japan, Korea, Singapore, Brazil, Qatar, Germany, Sweden, England, USA (and of course Norway). She has been mentored by Stevie VanZandt, Gene Simmons, David Foster, Avicii, and Alan Walker. And she is only getting started.

One last thing; She did want to sing for Simon. When she was just 3 years old she saw Simon on TV for the first time. She turned to her mom and said I want to sing for him. Angelina sees the beauty in the art of song. She relates what she sees so clearly. She brings to us the beauty in the art. She truly loves music. It is an art, and even what may have been written as dark, she shows that it is not. It is beautiful. And there is a way to see that, hear that, and she shows us that. Songs are wonderful expressions of art. She captures that truth for us. Although Freddie Mercury didn't hear her interpretation of the song Queen did. And they called her to give her their blessing on her cover. She has actually copyrighted it. I don't know if anybody's mentioned it but she sings barefoot because she was somewhere in the Middle East and a young girl commented on how pretty her shoes for. The little girl didn't have any shoes to wear so Angelina gave the little girl her shoes. So she performs barefoot to remember or honor that. I know of another metalhead that fell prey of Angelina's clutches, charisma and her soul-touching voice and that of course you guessed it, it's me, I mostly love Metal in almost all its branches, and for me to like something else it needs to be really attracting, I'm not close minded because I like many other genres but just a few of their songs, so as you can imagine, this was meant to be, all I had to do was listen to Angelina one time only and that was it, I mean, regardless of your music preference, you can't definitely ignore talent, not at this level, never; it took me just one video to get trapped by Angelina's charm, the first seconds of the video I started to feel something but I was on denial, I was like, no, this can't be, but by the end of the video, Angelina's job was done on me, I just let myself go and from that day on I just stopped resisting her I knew she had me and I've been watching her progress ever since, although I stopped for a couple of years but like I said, she had me so I came back around 2 years ago and boy have I enjoyed every second since I did, so I totally get you, even metalheads fall victims to Angelina and that is saying a lot.

There is a difference between a singer and an artist. Singer can change the colors of a song and make it her style, but the intent is still with original singer. An artist can take the same song, rearranges the colors and applies different strokes, and created a new song with vastly different outlook. The signature of this Bohemian Rhapsody still belongs to Queens / Freddie Mercury, but the definition is all defined by Angelina.

She really has the talent and great voice. Speaking with my feeling, the song didn't hit me that hard, because she sang it a little bit over the hill, I don't know how I have to explain. Yes I think she needed to stay a bit more in her "own" style. Oh and speaking about Freddie Mercury, he did such a great Popera with Montserrat Caballé named Barcelona. Well Amira Willighagen did two great duets from this song but I figure out which version I like you to react to.
