I want some Yield outtakes and rarities like this. I feel like they did a disservice to the Avocado album on its anniversary. They DEFINITELY have a lot more unused material that the fans would just eat up
That's the thing. I remember reading somewhere how Jeff commented on the process of recording the album, that it started in a way and ended up being something completely different. I really enjoyed the energy of avocado, but I think these demos are a rarity!!! I can understand why many of the comments show disappointment on how Avocado turned out to be after listening to this. These demos have more of arts like from the times from No Code to Riot Act, something defying but at the same time something of an experience, still some rocking songs like Life Wasted :) Still must say I enjoyed the energy of avocado :)
My comment is actually older than it shows (it shows actually the time since I edited it), but I must say, I got a bit addicted to Cold Confession and Let it Ride in those last days :D And of course I really enjoy 10 Billion Years by Stone :) And Open Door, feels like a nice jam! All instrumental things are also really cool, but for now I'm focussing more on the sung stuff. I was earlier focusing more on the instrumental stuff hehe
You nailed it The majority of those demos and outtakes do sound like No Code to Riot Act PJ. I like Avocado, but the band obviously wasn't as hungry as they were during the Ten/Vs. days. It felt forced, although there is still a lot of good music on it (despite some self-repetition) It's too bad we'll never know how Avocado would have sounded as a continuation of their art rock exploration 😢
@@Faks.09 yeah indeed! I was actually thinking of this pinkpop concert in 2000. Even though many people love to remember their memorable performance on pinkpop in 1992, I think that concert in 2000 had something special. Okay, Ed had a tough time going in divorce and going through a writer's block, Mike checking himself in rehab, new drummer onboard with Matt (even though I think he was already part of the family) and the political situation in the US with the elections. It wasn't the most beautiful time for them, but still special! Me and a friend of mine used to talk about how hard times bring out most of the coolest and most beautiful or most interesting music, sad but true :D
I think someone nailed it there saying the Avocado album felt forced. I really cannot listen to it. Eddie sounds terrible, the songs are second rate and bland. I also dislike the mix, and Brendan o briens mix is far superior. Some of these demos/ideas sound better than album songs.
Am I wrong for liking this Big Wave more than the album version. The stripped down nuts n bolts of the songs foundation hit with a bit more grit to it.
on the song 10 Billion Years - is that Stone signing? It's definately not Ed.. I remember Stone signing on one of the songs from No Code, so the voice does sound like him.
Oh wow. I didn't even listen to the last track haha I see that now. Must have been something they teased before the album came out. I re-edited the video to cut that out. Thank you!
@@MBSBorges1 ah i was right... thought it was him :-) nice! we definately need another track on a Pearl Jam album with Stone signing.. different vibe to Ed
It's ok because "no one can ever go home again." You used every personal resource to become the best version of yourself. Warrior at 15, courageous, fearless, worked out an elaborate plan to succeed with your secret weapons of faith and love. Heart's desires fulfilled, slew dragons, magical prayer warrior danced on a long board to the rip curls, held his breath in the biggest barrels and emerged like a reborn visionary prince of the underground kingdom of Atlantis.
1. 2×4 - Instrumental - 0:00

5. The Bigger The Wave - “Big Wave” Rough Mix - 17:38
6. Open Door - Rough Mix - 20:38
7. Rearranged Furniture - Instrumental - 27:04
8. Rearranged Priorities - Instrumental - 31:08
9. 10 Billion Years - Rough Mix - 35:27

13. Let It Ride -- Outtake - 56:54
Thanks! I still have trouble figuring out how to add these to my videos but very appreciative of you for doing that!
God bless you
Ed's voice is great on the album and on the tour. In fact, the whole band was brilliant

Cold Confession and Let It Ride deserve slots on a record.
Cold confession became the last song. This is a pretty interesting and fairly different version but the Inside Job version is better.
@@jstall20i don't hear it tbh
I wish they would start playing this masterpiece someday
Life wasted made me grin and shiver
Matt went Soundgarden mode on Big wave
Ooooh, I hear so much Sunny Day on track 2 (@4:22)
Lucky 13 sounds amazing.. definately a retro PJ sound kind of No Code era .. Love it!

@@Faks.09 in their time exploring art rock they were indeed putting out real artworks! Really beautiful albums, I mean beautiful!

It’s odd - the first 3 minutes feel very much like Yield, but I LOVE it. Wish we could get this on a “lost dogs volume 2” or something
2x4, rearranged priorities and lucky 13 in particular are amazing of the unreleased songs, obviously cold confessions and let it ride as well
Going full on Wilco on 10 Billion Years, amazing.
10 Billions Years, Cold Confession & Let It Ride are the standouts not included on the so called 'Avocado' album
Thanks for this !! I didn't know it existed until today tbh. Any other similar links please share
Some I found! Playlist’s a little messy though. ua-cam.com/play/PL8N1vzkKnsXUTtqTFgx3godUhTGC5bt_U.html
Cold Confession has got to be a Stone composition, right? Sooo good!
Jeff, Actually!
I think Lost Dogs 2 needs to come out.
It’s supposed too!!
I love this band
🙉Yaaaaaa ! ! ! 🤘I Want Some More 😌 ! ! ! ✌❤N' Rock&Roll,,, ReallyDigsMySoul 😎
thank you very much, magnificent I was very excited to hear this work of art! wasted life got better than on the album itself
i'm really loving this
Thank you very much ! It's great !!

It's way better, I never was into that song until I heard this version.
Pearl Jam scraps are better than anything put out in rock today.
Wow billionaires 🏆
Who is singing on 10 billion years? Stoney?
the instrumentals deserve a shout out, suoerb👍

Some FATAL in LET IT RIDE
Great collection but WWS demo is an April Joke by TSIS :D

@@obscuremediaemporium Well done - great comp.!
Only started listening now and the 2x4 instrumental is already better than anything on the "Avocado" album
Awesome! Do you have this downloadable by track anywhere?
Is that Eddie on "10 Billion Years'? P.S. Obsessed with Cold Confession and pissed that's not on an album.
Stone Gossard on vocals
@@MBSBorges1 ah i was right... thought it was him :-) nice! we definately need another track on a Pearl Jam album with Stone signing.. different vibe to Ed

You need help....go to a doctor.
Song 7 Similar JOHNNY GUITAR
Nothing without Dave Abbruzzese..,
Agreed he was a great drummer with the band but whats that got to do with Avocado mixes?
Some of this is fake Pearl Jam.
