Will you be doing 6x6 Yau walkthroughs? (I use Yau until 9x9, don't have a 10x10) I definitely love your 5x5 walkthroughs, your centers are definitely more efficient than mine, would likely help me break my stagnation, which I have been stuck at 1:30 barrier for about 1 or 2 years already.
Nice video, I have a few questions though: 1. Why be entirely CN for Yau but not for Yau5? 2. How often do you get an easy enough case to justify solving two pairs before chain pairing? 3. What do you think about setting up the S centres case with three moves into a T case?
@@ryanbishoop I think you misinterpreted my question (my bad). I asked because I thought Jay previously only used white and yellow when he used to use Yau5, but now that he's switched to just Yau he seems to be starting on any colour. My question is only regarding 5x5
@@JD-ee4df The switch didn't affect CN at all, Yau5 with CN is just as easy 2. Not that often but the idea is to just be aware of the option 3. That case you can often do 3 moves to 2x3 so meh
Do you think doing the last cross edge before centers is faster? I’m not sure at this point, I think it’s situational and might be good to switch between the 2, like if centers are good and the edge is bad or if the edge is good.

I barely do 5x5, but just looking at yau 5 it seems like way more fun than the method I'm using (which is beginners method i think)

That seems pretty valid especially since last cross edge done on 5x5 after centers is actually pretty efficient
