Came back to this to let you know I'm still enjoying the game, finally got my first kill and the adrenaline going trough me is insane, killed a duo in Kabino. I got shot at, went in a building and flanked them trough the back door, blasted the first one in the back with a Tundra and after that went into another building, his teammate went into the same building not expecting I was there and killed him with my SKS. Truly a moment I will never forget

I didn't raise he had a friend aha as I went to double tap the guy I shot his friend came out the bush from no were an almost killed me aha if the wind has been blowing after I managed to kill him I'd of fell over I was that fucked 😁😁😁 my first propper battle like it was boss plus the guys were loaded to death like both had LARS scopes the lot aha I cudent imagen how stakked there base was xx it was all pristine as well witch I cudent understand aha ... I forster they cheaters sum how lol ... but surely they wud of killed me .. x
Some small tips Hunter Clothing guarantees you’ll be warm if you keep it repaired, the hunter backpack has 63 slots and is dark enough and small enough to keep your character hidden, hunter boots and assault boots have best insulation and the assault boots can hold a knife, the tundra is the best utilitarian rifle pvp and hunting it is very strong. Aye I’m new and I’ve taken to remembering their location, because of the server I play in I can loot them at will and not have to worry about pvp, I will say to always keep in mind what sort of locations that might be contested by other players in conventional servers
I just got this game today and even though I die a lot and don't often find gear I am loving it and this guide helped me a lot. Definitely subscribing for more of this type of content and hopefully I'll improve in the game over time

@SeanK1 it is 100% in a good place. Honestly though I don't think anything would ever beat the mod for me. Nothing ever had me so immersed or had my adrenaline going as much as the mod did.
I've been playing DayZ for 4 yrs and I just came here for the nostalgia of starting again.. I personally like to go to livonia to gear up.. it's hard for starters but once you figure out how to get mushrooms, fish, water you can follow the bunkers and get easy loot.. I'm a console player so I'm only stuck with the 2 maps
Bk-133 is very good to find. Early on. Buck shot for close quarters and the green slugs for abit further down targets . Big back packs make a lot of noise!! Lots of trial and error but you will learn. Don’t give up.

How do u loot the bodys tho? (NPC/PC) do they drop whatever they have? Or do u press something to open their inventory? (Playing on xbox, this game is cool but glitches like crazy)
I found a shop fully stocked with guns and it even had ghillie suits, after getting completely kitted out the server went down and I lost everything lol
I heard a boom in a town at night sounded like a boom but I saw smoke made the town fogged for a bit lucky I was in police station and was not affected by the fog
Just remember if you guys are using the town water pumps or drinking any water try to find chlorine tabs these can be found in hunter camps outside the military towns listed above in the video. If you have no luck doing this try to find a hospital or emt tents near the airfield for multivitamins and tetracycline the only things to cure viral sickness. P.S if you find a cooking pot your set just tips to stay alive and horde dat loot 🤘
Played for 4 hours for the first time today and died from veterans and starvation then gave up. I find myself going back and getting better i love this game

Nowadays the gas bombs seem to fall randomly out of the sky. I found a nice home and started building a base. Next day I went for a loot run when suddenly a gas bomb fell on my head.. took too long to equip my gas mask so I died.. everything gone. Why does this happen? And can I get that character back?
Not unless you ran back to where you died before the body despawned. If you hear a bomb dropping best just to get out of the area asap. You can hear the bombs being launched in the distance so if you hear that just be ready to move and don't go too deep into the area where it might drop.
@@SeanK1 I was right in the middle of it:( I was bleeding but bandages didnt stop it. It was a sad way to end what was about to become a beautifull survival story:) who shoots those bombs anyway? Are there still normal people alive?
or another thing you could do is make a base then put all your loot inside and each day go to all the towns and military bases and get as much loot as you want
Because you have to find a map in game.... And even then it doesn't help you, finding a GPS will help, but yeah the map is item in game you have to find
Open map option is only on console atm, best way to navigate is by compass. I always immediately head to tisy and the airfield which is north. Looting all the way usually means I have pretty good kit once I get there. Or you can follow the train tracks all the way north to tisy and the airfield as well, they aren't that far apart from each other.

Loot spawns suck in DayZ. Always have. I don't know how many runs I've just stopped from boredom from running town to town that have been picked completely dry.
Late to the party here. I’m on ps4 and I find it impossible to find any food early in any spawn. Been playing for a month and here is a normal spawn. Spawn in the middle of woods. Run for miles, find a small village, find nothing and get attacked by 2-3 z’s at a time. Rinse and repeat.
I found a rifle and good clothes and some food very quickly my first time, then I walked forever, then I saw my friend get eaten by zombies, and then I got captured by a group of people
Most of the time i don't quit because of zero loot but because all i wanna do is build, but it takes too many different tools, it's not hard to find an axe or a shovel, can take 20 mins just to find ONE tough.. And when i need 5 different tools to build a tiny base to hide my loot? it gets hard. Because i don't even have enough inventory to not just hold my loot but also the tools and materials i need... I've always seen DayZ as a zombie rust game. I just wish we had that hammer from rust in DayZ too, cus building l, I S - A - P A I N - I N - T H E - A S S... The moment you have 3 tools, you've probably already 1: caught a sickness 2: gotten spotted by another geared player 3: hunted down by zombies, wolfs, anything. Hell some even hit by a car- not to mention if you've got those tools you need you've most likely traveled many many miles away from where you wanted to build, now you have to get all the way back there, be careful of rain ( sickness ) and thirst and hunger and enemie players, goodluck making it back alive 😂 it just seems impossible.
Man today I found deadass like a grocery store worth or food, an arsenal of guns and ammo, several of them medieval stores, a thrift store full of clothes of all shapes and sizes and gear and so many animals n supplies. Then I left my fiancée house got home hopped on, now I find like 2 guns in a 20 square mile radius and one of them got one full mag and the other one empty. Shit whack
good advice for new players, if any of you happen to see this, don't overeat, i had this issue a lot before. you shouldn't be eating unless your food is in the yellow, it helps save food supply and makes sure you dont overeat and vomit.
You eat until you get the full stomach icon..wait for it to disappear then eat again and repeat until the calorie apple doesn't have any arrows pointed up. Once your completely full the arrows will flash up and down.
It was pretty easy for me to find loot I guess if you wanna know how I did it just get fire axe from fire station and then just get to police station get shoutgun and move on

A key thing that I learned is to not really care about losing stuff I was in tissy and got assaulted by zombies and I killed them all but the only thing I had to stop my bleeding were dirty rags and I got an infection from using it and after dying from it (I didn’t find any medicine) I instead of raging I was just like Aw man well time to start over again! Don’t take pride in your loot don’t be scared to lose it you won’t get good at the game if your constantly scared Also who finds hipfire easier than normal shooting 👇
Considering this is one of ton of spawn locations. Considering I only spawn on the west coast of the map once out of every 30 spawns this video is absolutely no help
None of the info for official works. The loot spawn rates are abyssmal unless you're in the middle of the map. I've looked through 100s of starter videos and none of the info is correct.. I checked hundreds of boats and only found a food item ONCE. I've come back from a server restart and an entire town had no food, literally 2 mins after server was back up and all doors were closed.. It seems all these videos are made on community servers or with INSANE luck.

I'm new to the game, just started playing a few days ago. This is what I have found to be helpful. It's awesome when you find containers or cans of food, but fruit has become my best friend. They can be found underneath trees around towns. Dried and ripe fruit good, rotten fruit bad. Most of the trees that have fruit are about 20 or so feet tall, and have oranges colored leaves on them. Once ripe fruit hydrates and fills you food bar. Dried fruit just your food bar.

They’re just dynamic events within the game, they aren’t fired by actual players or anything. Just random in certain areas of the map :)

With the game being out for as long as it has why is there no open map option in game? That’s my biggest question

That makes for casual gameplay. This is a hardcore game.

Some gas zones are permanent and others are static meaning that its random chance of having gas or not.

whenever I enter the game, I play for about 2 hours and I don't find anything, I enter several cities and there are never any items
Play on community servers if you play on official ones the loot is bad

What do you even do after you’re geared
The prison island has a room with dozens of fully modded weapons and great armor sets. I don't really see the need to go anywhere else.
Theres many things you can't find here but for early game it's not bad
If you are new, learn on empty servers for a little bit until you can survive fairly easy, quickly...or at least that worked for me.
That's what I did I hid from other players and practiced that's the best way but above all patience is key 👍

@@moneytime1556 what? Sorry i dont understand what you wrote. If you mean that servers with more players have less loot, then not really becauce more players=faster loot spawns

Why is it so hard to find food
I'm new to the game, just started playing a few days ago. This is what I have found to be helpful.
It's awesome when you find containers or cans of food, but fruit has become my best friend. They can be found underneath trees around towns. Dried and ripe fruit good, rotten fruit bad. Most of the trees that have fruit are about 20 or so feet tall, and have oranges colored leaves on them. Once ripe fruit hydrates and fills you food bar. Dried fruit just your food bar.
Just as a general rule I just started playing don’t go near other players they’ll shoot you on site no matter what
