Bought my vs880ex yesterday (22 april 2023) for almost nothing and is in excellent condition. Had to choose from a yamaha aw16g and the roland....which was twice the price. No brainer after reading some of both manuals. Thx for this "getting started" tutorial. Its a very complicated maschine but I am sure its a gem if you can find your way with this recorder.

@letterface2012 It is an 8 track multitrack recorder. So you can play back 8 tracks at one time. Now you can't play back 8 virtue tracks at once. Only the 1 thru 8 channels can be played back at once.

Could I run multiple drum mics into a sound board, and eq them there, and run them into one of the inputs?

Do you think this unit would work good as DAW (only) mixer, to harnest the automation features? WIN 7 generation

Today is 6th of April 2019 and I have seen one of these for sale for £30. I don't know what that is in US dollars, maybe about $42. Is it worth buying? Thanks.
