Honestly, the first thing I thought when I first saw it was "That thing is ugly". But after a year with it, I have come to like it alot. When judging cars buy their looks this probably isn't the most attractive car, but when judging by consumer reviews and reliability, this car is definitely one of the hottest cars on the market. Lol
INDO KEREN my 2012 had new rings and pistons put in at 65,000.and now at 6 yrs the factory white paint is coming off on 4 inch diameter sized areas, in about 5 different areas. So disappointed. Totally killed any resale value the car had. Now I have no choice but to drive it till the wheels fall off.
I test drove a 2013 the other day and am amazed at not only the head room but the seats are wide a lot of small cars ya can feel the seat belt at your hip but not here.
I just put a deposit on a 2014, the same color. This is the last year for this model XB and I got a $2000 discount from the dealer. Can't wait to pick it up.
maxxtruck9906 From what I have read, it looks like Scion will bring the Toyota Auris to replace the XB, so it won't be boxy and roomy it will be more like a conventional hatchback like the Toyota Matrix or Honda Fit. That's another reason why I wanted to get an XB before they are gone.
The 15 XB came out. And it looks the same mostly. But they did add a backup camera and touch screen radio standard. The radio might have navigation I don't remember exactly!
nick golden Yes, I saw that too. The touch screen was made standard across all Scion models in 2014, and the backup camera was added to the xB for 2015. They are going to be mandatory in all vehicles in a couple of years. Scion must be torn about what to do with the xB. Consumer Reports readers just named the xB the most reliable of all vehicles sold in the US this year. Sales of the xB jumped 7 percent in November, while all of the other Scion models dropped. They have a new hatchback coming mid-year 2015 called the IM that is rumored to replace the xB. It is a sporty hatchback that is not boxy, so it's not a direct replacement. They may have a small SUV within 3 years, so it's possible they may keep the xB until that is released. Scion will disappoint many people if they discontinue the xB. The Nissan Cube is now gone, so it will only leave the Kia Soul in this category.
At first i heard you say thay not rolling down the windows defeats the purpose of having window lock button and i was like what is he talking about. Isnt that the point of window locks? But now I see what your saying as i checked out the window lock in my car and it lets the driver to control the windows even when window lock is on. Good vid bro.
Yeah, I wish that wasn't the case. But I guess it's not really that big of a deal. The car just hit 59,000 miles today and still runs great and hasn't given us any problems! I plan on posting a 2 year 60,000 miles owner review soon.
I just bought a 15 with 30k miles. It is fast. I only have had it a couple days. I plan to take care of it and keep forever. However, I am only getting 21 mpg. Pretty poor MPG. I won't use it much!@@joseromero344
It depended on how I drove. If I did about 65-70 mph the RPMs would be between 2,000 and 2,500. At that pace I averaged about 31 mpg. If I went 75-80 mph the RPMs would raise to about 3,000 and I would average about 28 MPG. Hope that helps!
I don't know what would cause it to do that, but I am pretty sure it's not normal. Mine doesn't do it. I'd see about getting it checked out. How many miles does it have?
Thanks for the response. It's actually a car for sale at the Toyota dealership. Like many of the cars on the lot, I think it wasn't driven for a week. I'm having it fully inspected later this week. It has 81,000 miles. I forgot to mention that this occurred when I removed the dipstick to check the oil level. I test drove the car for about 5 - 8 minutes and checked the oil level 5 minutes after I shut the car off. The level of the oil was full and the engine bay was dry. Hopefully it was just condensation from not being driven for a while.
+maxxtruck9906 I'm not sure anymore. There were two accidents on it in late 2010 (~$2500 right side center) and 2011 (~$1,500 front center). I also noticed there wasn't any engine temperature gauge. Other then the Ram, I currently drive a G35x - which I will be selling.
psdude23 When car is shut off that could be normal. If its doing it while running it may be a problem. I just bought a used 2012 scion xb with 35k on it and a few days after buying it i heard a qiet clanking noise. I brought it back to toyota and they are fixing it now It was the drive shaft.. They put me in a rental free and the rental was a brand new camry top of the line. Also no cost for anything. Make sure its a certified used scion and and you will have 7 yrs 100k drive train warranty.. Also you get the 1 yr 12k mile warranty (pretty much bumper to bumper) and a year of free roadside assistance. Im glad that i dont have to worry about buying a lemon.
I love my Scion XB 2012 Alpine White (250, 450 km.) I have driven from Nova Scotia to South Dakota no issues at all.
Mine is a 2012 and I have driven it coast to coast with my family of 4, it’s the perfect car for the modern family! Great video
❤❤ have an old for sonicstage 700000 miles xB Toyota number one Japan number one American Summer ten
great car, its really a camry, so that means. best engind and trans made.. it will go over 400 000 miles. no issues, regular oil changes and filters.
I've always had a soft spot for this car.

That is a car you keep for 300k or more. Tough. Just bought a 2015 with 30k. I will give it to my 14 month old after college. @@Eliyourcarguy
i had an 04 and an 06... loved the amount of space in the car.... now looking for a used 2012 to a 2015, so i can use it for uber..
LOVED your video buddy. Thanks! You're a natural!
Still looking great!
Thanks!
We own Xb since 2012 and Love it sooo much.

@@ronromejko3193 Toyota will also cover the paint, white was Recalled. I would never sell it, anyway. Go get that free paint job!
Sad that the xB has been discontinued.
I know. They take the most reliable car on the market (as of 2014) and they stop making it.
I wonder if the iM will meet up to the xB's standards.
+toyoscio Yeah. :(
+© Maxxtruck9906 i Just saw a video of the 2016 model.
toyoscio I agree. I hope one day Toyota bring Scion xB back. As Toyota I’d course but the new xB3
YOU are exactly the kinda owner I look for when buying a NICE, ((clean)), well maintained vehicle ! What is your current mileage and impression ?
I test drove a 2013 the other day and am amazed at not only the head room but the seats are wide a lot of small cars ya can feel the seat belt at your hip but not here.
Very nice review!
Thanks! Glad you liked it!

Awesome! You won't regret buying it!
I am wondering what the 2015 will look like.

Thanks for the video. I'm about to purchase a 2013 xB w/5 speed manual. Any comments or suggestions as you approach 5 years?
I have a 2013 xb 5 speed, I am in love with it the 5 speed is quick too

What was your mileage like when you traveled the interstate to all those places you mentioned?
It depended on how I drove. If I did about 65-70 mph the RPMs would be between 2,000 and 2,500. At that pace I averaged about 31 mpg. If I went 75-80 mph the RPMs would raise to about 3,000 and I would average about 28 MPG. Hope that helps!
I might just get one of these.
Hi, is it normal for a little smoke/steam to release out of the oil dipstick and dipstick hole right after the car is shut off? 2011 Scion xB. Thanks.
I don't know what would cause it to do that, but I am pretty sure it's not normal. Mine doesn't do it.

Im really considering getting this vehicle can u get an aftermarket nav sysyem for it
Yes, I believe you can.
How is it in the snow?
It is not too bad when there is only a few inches, but when there is alot it isn't really good because it sits so low.
Doyou still own the scion????
i just bought a 2014 looks the same
the lowest rate i can give about this Scion XB the wheels are ugly tin can hubcaps
Yeah, these 6 spokes were ugly. I replaced them with some split 5 spokes.
nice
Are you canadian? Every sentence you speak sounds like you're asking a question.
