I just got a pair for my birthday from an HVAC supply store going out of business. They got them for 200 dollars. I'll comment later on my experience with them.
I have been using mine all summer and I haven’t had any problems besides one of the clamps broke(still totally functional on bigger lines) but other then that I been loving them. I really like pulling up the ManTooth app and snapshotting all of my readings and being able to email them directly to the custo boss or whoever. I do wish there was a wireless probe option as well.😞
Tradesman's Shop Talk after you posted the follow up I thought I would post a few more comments for YJ. The only thing I don't like is how the pressures bounce around so much. Especially the high side. I'd like to see your screen for about 15 seconds to see if mine are the same as yours. I'd also like a stronger battery, on long jobs where you are doing hour long pressure tests and then if you have issues where you are needing to have them on for charging and whatnot the battery is competely drained.
I have the first generation digital...... "System Analyzer". I have had them for 9 years . And use them dam near everyday , they are a little beat up , just normal everyday wear and tare. Little bit of color fade , but that's all. They are my proud and joy..... I have had them serviced 4 times by "Ritchie" since I have owned them. And I love them . I'm gonna grab a set of the new generation digital with the touch screen..... mine have buttons but I couldn't be more impressed with the quality
Let me bottom line it for you..I have emailed yellow jacket the following, but they have not responded. 1 - the bag is useless. A waste of money. Do not know anyone that would use it. 2 - the hook is ridiculous. Its WAY too short, almost as if they did not field test it. The hook should also swivel front to back instead if being in a fixed position. The hook makes it very difficult to comfortably hang the manifold in some situations. 3 - they should make a wireless prob option. I would think a tool as t this price point would wt least give you an option to go wireless. Just like the mantooth probes, the wires become cumbersome and get tangled. Fieldpiece 380v has me spoiled. But once you go wireless you never go back. 4 - Only available in a 4 port. This is a waste for techs that use a vacuum rig. I believe the trend is going in the direction of the belief that pulling a vacuum with a manifold is poor practice. Overall the interface is nice. But after 2 weeks I sold them and picked up the fieldpiece 380vs. After using both I think fieldpiece is very strong where yellow jacket is weak. IMO they need a redesign.
I just got a set of these for free as someone blasted the screen with oil from the hose and it wrecked the touch screen.. had to replace the touch screen from one from Alibaba and got it working again.. problem with these is there is no protection for the screen in the event of any oil spray! The guy just gave them to me and said "they are yours if you can fix them, I dont want these if they can't take a bit of abuse..."!! also, it now doesn't have the side bumpers and the covers for the ports are long gone.. They seem like they could be decent, but it also seems like YJ dropped the ball a bit for a flagship set of gauges.
I myself don’t have a set, but several of the installers do. They have abused them and of course they haven’t held up well, but I wouldn’t judge them based off of that. I think the screen lay out is great with it mimicking analog gauges, plus the touchscreen is very nice.
One set the touchscreen no longer works, NONE and I do repeat none of the micron gauge attachment last longer then a few vacuums, plastic case broke, and battery that want hold a charge for more then 5 minutes.
HVAC Power Factor 1.0 I would call. Yj they fixed mine. They have a revised version. Because the charge connection port shorts out could be why batteries don’t last or settings as for the vacuum I only have that problem testing the gauge by it self in a system it bring it down to 50 microns with little to no decay but if the gauge alone forget it leaks like a sive also just use the app it’s better so ur hands won’t destroy. The touch screen easier to work with too
@@HVACShopTalk I believe its the little things that pull you apart from the rest. -Clamp holders: I prefer on side -vacuum port option -carrying case, the more compact the better -wireless temp prob option -gauge holder(hook) for flat & grill type applications. Small stiff Hook is not user friendly unless you customize -micron gauge is not the most accurate
I've owned 2 sets of digital manifolds with 4 valves and I have regretted purchasing them every time because of the lack of efficiency in comparison to vacuum kits and hoses. Maybe if I was working on smaller refrigeration circuits they would be useful but not with normal HVAC applications. I only buy 3 valve manifolds now and treasure the Appion or TruBlu hoses with my Fieldpiece pump. Much more reliable and saves a ton of vacuum time. This manifold screen and menu is impressive but I am seeing less and less use for a detailed screen with bluetooth devices. Wireless pipe clamps would have been more attractive. Soft cases have always let me down for protection and I don't know anyone that disassembles their hoses from their manifold to stow them. It's hard to beat the ballistic cases from Harbor Freight Tools for storing my precious tools such as this. When is Yellow Jacket going to start adding thermal hygrometers for air flow information in diagnostics?
Display looks like a kid designed it, very poor graphics...come on people..I manifold " has been on the market for .any years now. Get some ideas from there....
Arrhhh touch screen.... My phones have been all touch screen for the last ten years and alll they do is break. I cant see this gauge being any different. But the bag dose look nice.
Dealbreaker question?!!!... it works directly with Measure Quick? YES OR NO !!!???... and with all our existing Testo or Fieldpiece wireless probes?. 👍 or 👎🏻 And they are water resistant so we could use them on the rooftop where it actually rains in the winter time like my SMAN480V ??? Are they durable go up to your roof and throw them off the roof like Fieldpiece does in their video. LOL 😂 If the answer is YES to all of the above they got a winner. They are just a little late to the game after everybody has already invested in Testo and Fieldpiece gauges and wireless probes. If the answer is NO to all of the above ??? 🦗 🦗 🦗 🦗 🎻 so sorry. Don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

I have a set and I like them. I use the copper Atkins pipe straps for line Temps.
Cool idea.

I will see that they have a link to this.
Great review boss man , yellow jacket did a good job with the manifold.
Great review kinda set the bar kinda high for my review 😂😂. Great job as always brother.

Rechargeable battery and the titan manifold 👍👍👍
It's a rugged set i think for those who like manifolds.
I do like the look of these. I wouldn’t mind trying them, but now a days I just grab my probes. My 550s are collecting dust
I dig it, I like wireless probes as well.
Nice review. I would definitely try them out.
Rooftop Plunge test out of the question?
Nice gauges & display but compared to the "other digital gauges" company, they need to upgrade a few things to stay competitive.
Did you change your logo again?
@@superiorcomfortheatingairl3373 It is he same with just little more contrast lol. Just needs to be bigger. Working on it
To help Yellow Jacket - what do they need to upgrade?

YJ need bold case for gauges works perfect
How much that yellow jacket?

impressive
I just inherited these gauges with a new job that I just started. They leak is what the former Tech told me, and now they will not turn on.
Have you contacted Yellow Jacket
Sight glass leaks and the charging port broke off after less than two years...
Some people like things tied to their driveshaft
Scary stuff
Happy with gages BUT! Screen is easily scratched !
I here to find out how to connect to my phone
Dream guages... But out of my budget 😭😭😭😭
