I always found the differences and similarities in Caribbean cooking island to island interesting. I am Puerto Rican, and my family makes this same dish rather differently. And I know someone from Cuba who also makes it differently. Love it.
I just got back from picking up the chops and lime. Everything is prepped and ready to go. Thanks so much and if it comes out half as good as yours looks I'll be happy. One day you'll have to explain the "toe" secrets to those who never heard of it. (Beans)
This was a really great video Zee! I love that you used shoprite ingredients because it reminds me of what cooking in the kitchen actually looks like vs. having everything pretty and prepared for recording. I've been watching your videos for years and I am a huge fan of your cooking! Keep up the good work and may the Lord bless you and your family : )
That bean recipe is really good. I add a dash of sugar to mine as well as Goya jamón seasoning. It's absolutely delicious! Love the chuletas guisadas recipe as well!! 😛
I just made this today but substituted the lime with lemon (since that's what I had in the fridge) and it turned out Soo yummy! Thank you for this recipe.
wow you are looking amazing this season. keep up the good work, I've been making a lot of your recipes and they turn out amazing. Thank you for teaching us.
ok....second video of yours i see (the chimis was the first) and the verdict is in: WE LOVE YOUR WAYS.... you are soooooo caaaaaaalmmmm and collected...and take the time to explain... and the cherry on top is the way you pronounce "off" with the ny accent: AWFFF
Everything looks so delicious 😋 I have a question, for the beans if I add homemade sofrito do I eliminate adding the onions, peppers, garlic or do I add it in addition to the sofrito? Thank you. I love all your recipes 🤗❤
I love your coming tips. I have to try them! Especially adding brown sugar to the beans. I recreated your black bean recipe which also included brown sugar but I didn’t know you added it to other beans as well. I have to try that. So you added garlic and something else to your beans after they were cooked?
Been recreating your recipes for a while now and I’ve seen your missing a Lenteja guisada recipe 😅 pleasee do one! I tried and the taste was not excellent- it was edible 😂 this chuleta is next on my list
I want to learn to make the spaghetti with tomato sauce but it has white stuff it too.. I don't know if its sour cream or what? Could you tell me? Thank you 😊
My grandmother went to D.R for vacation and I found u. Thanks for the cooking lessons

Wow !
I always put lime in my beans does vinegar change the flavor alot?
Me too so good.
I never saw a 1:1 ratio for regular long grain rice
I do this all of the time and it comes out perfectly! However, feel free to use a ratio that you’re most comfortable with
@@Chefzeecooks all love, I mean looking at your food its all amazing. So I more than trust your judgement, I was surprised at the ratio.
