I have been so conditioned by your voice & style of communication to absorb learning, that I instantly know how valuable this video is going to be too :) Kudos Stephan!
Thanks so much Stephen! I specifically find the point about prioritization very insightful - I was in the habit of cramming in as much content as possible, and now I know how to improve! I'm also wondering if there's an opportunity to see a critique for a resume from someone going through career transitioning (e.g. Consulting -> PM)? :)
Hello Stephen, I appreciate the informative video. I have a question: would it be okay to rearrange the order of sections by placing the skills section between relevant experience and education? Thank you.
Hey SHREYA-vf6vb! Yes, that would be ok if your skills are worth highlighting over your education. Essentially, the way you structure your resume should aim to convince a recruiter that you are a right fit for the role as quick as possible! Hope this helps :)
Thanks, I really like “highlight the impact” part but any inputs for softwareEngineers who want to transition into Product Management roles. How should they craft their resumes
Thanks man! do you think resume should be just one page? I have five PM experiences (3 fulltime + 2 interships) so now a days whenever I put these experiences with responsibilities the resume gets extended to 2 - 3 pages? Is it something negative?
Always make it one page! Pick the 3 most impactful PM experiences you have and put those there. Hiring managers get hundreds, sometimes thousands of resumes. They're looking for buzz words and bullet points that you're qualified for an interview. Dive deep then! Best of luck!
