    THANK YOU A LOT!!!
    I had an older version of this keyboard and I used octaves to launch different loops or sounds, but with this new keyboard mkv i had an issue about this, so thanks to you i've figured it out to change channels and then i have lots of sounds to map to the keyboard, you saved my life because in 2 days i have a gig and i had no time anymore to put all correctly :)

      Greeting Ana! The procedure for the pads is the same as the key bed. But first, press a few pads. Next, hold down shift and press the velocity key (right most "C"). All the pads should start flashing. Keep holding the shift key. Each time you press the velocity key the display will change. Watch at 10:00 into the video for help. Give that a go, let me know if that worked for you, cheers.

    Anyone know how to setup the preset daw config with ableton live 11 when using the oxygen 25 MK4? My knobs don't work when I turn them when using the E-Piano Basic insturment in ableton.

    • @cipstechitips1574
      @cipstechitips1574  Рік тому

      Greeting Forgetten XIII ! The simplest way to get the knobs and transport buttons to work is to click on the MIDI map button at the top right-hand corner of the screen. The screen will change colors. Click on the "On Screen" item you want to control. Then rotate the knob you want to associate with on-screen knob. You will see a new line in the list. Click the MIDI button to exit map mode.
      The mapping will only be saved to current live set. Alway start with this live set. Cheers.

      Greetings Ashwin! You can map knobs manually. In the upper right corner of the Ableton screen, click on the "MIDI" button. The colors on the screen will change. In the instrument panel click on the virtual knob you want to assign. On your controller rotate the physical knob you want to use. Click on the "MIDI" button to return to normal Ableton. Give that a go, cheers.

      Greeting TSBMS! MIDI's do not have voices. You need a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) that has the instruments. If it was never registered you can try to register it at the M-Audio website. You can also try free trial versions at Ableton Live, FL Studio, or Cubase. Use your search engine, cheers.

According to the user guide, page 30, to change the channels for the pads: press a few pads in the normal manner, then follow the procedure. The last item pressed (keybed, pads, or knobs) is the channel that will be chnged.
      I had problems with this. I need to re-test this, not right now, but sometime soon, cheers.

    Great video! I have a couple of questions. I just purchased the M-Audio Oxygen 25 (MKV) :.
    1. Is there any way to change the sensitivity on the pads? When trying to tap out drum beats, I don't want to have to feel like I need to PUNCH the pads with a closed fist to get a decent volume. (Okay hyperbole alert) Seriously, is there a way to increase the sensitivity while still keeping it pressure sensitive so I can still affect volume with attack on the pads, only make it easier to get higher volume?
    2. I had a HELLUVA time setting this up at first. I used Tracktion/Waveform Free on a Windows 11 PC. Long story short, I was able to get the DAW to see the Oxygen 25, and even add it as a MIDI device. But no sound. I finally tried to restart the PC and that worked. Should have done that first lol. My question is, why is it that every time I unplug the Oxygen 25 (MKV) and plug it back in, I get the same problem? Although, I don't have to keep restarting the PC. I have by trial and error figured out that just disabling the keyboard in Waveform's settings, then re-enabling them works. Is there any way to fix this? It's not a deal breaker, but it is annoying!
    Thanks again, I am going to go finish watching your vid now! :)

    • @cipstechitips1574
      @cipstechitips1574  2 роки тому

      Greetings ChiroVette! To change the velocity sensitivity of the Pads, go to 10:00 in the video. . Which ever you pressed last is adjusted: Keys or Pads. You can read about it on page 12 of the manual.
      Intermittent problems are the worst and may vary from DAW to DAW. Not all software support "Hot Swap" . On some laptops USB port go to "sleep" and are reluctant to wake-up. Also, try the On/Off switch on the back of the MIDI.
      Kind regards.

      Greetings JT.777! I cannot guarantee it will work but it should. The MIDI is USB compliant and "should" work. You will need a DAW app and a On-the-Go USB adapter. The MIDI draws power from the USB connection, so you may need a powered USB hub.
