Newley converted MPC user, coming from Maschine I was using the sequences like scenes in my different parts.. like 4 or 8 bar sections which in theory works, But I had not even thought of this idea of duplicating the loop and editing the separate sections. Makes it a lot easier for transitions and switch ups. Reminds me of the reason workflow sort of. Much respect. Just subscribed!

Yes in regards of my workflow this is how I’ve been building my tracks lately but there’s so many different ways to do it but this makes more sense to me coming from my DAW workflow. I enjoy working with small sections and perfecting them as a go through my beats.

Hey super helpful tip for the 🔁 section trick! I will def have to start using that as well as more automation. I wish we could write automation to more than just the program but possibly in 3.0 🤷🏾♂️
Glad it was helpful! Yea its been really helpful when i am sampling drums because there is times when they cut off a bit too soon but using the sample tail really helps.
The mutes in the new 2.10 update is changed. You can have a loop/long sample on a pad and mute/unmute at any section and it won't wait for the next midi note to trigger. Try it!
My goodness yes, honestly that is one of the things I would annoy me the most prior to this updates but I notice that I’m able to play with my new group so much more precise now. This has been amazing
I’m still trying to understand adding half speed on one sequence but not the others. Like if I want the intro half speed but sequence 2 back to regular

I haven’t tried that out yet so I can’t say much but I wonder if you’re able to automate the plug-in in the first sequence then turn it off all within automation and I would assume that it jumps to the second sequence with it off again I’m not sure if that would work I have to try it out first but this is a good observation thank you for this.
What I do is duplicate the program and add the half speed to the effects rack of the duplicate, so you have one original and one duplicate with half speed and you can add other effects on it too
Hey brother, I actually had my one shot drums on track 1 and my sample on track 2 and my drum brake chops on track 3, it was a little confusing but I decided to add those drum brake chops midway of this beats and that’s why I had to throw them into track number three.
I actually haven’t tried it out yet but this beat that I made in this video I should be exporting it later on today into a Ableton so I’m definitely gonna see how it sounding I’ll get back to you on this later on tonight.
