While the description says "tool only" it does come with one each of a bi-metal ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx0vyBwjtx9GGOuiqUVT2sRoYqmDoNT_RI and HCS blade plus an adaptor plate for non-DeWalt blades. Wish I had known that before I bought the blade kit, but oh well. Since I already have a DeWalt drill, charger and batteries there was no need to buy more of those so this was a great deal. There is one other consideration. DeWalt does't sell the depth guide separately so you need to buy the three parts which make it up -- the N275350 block assy, the N275341 metal rod and the N278801 knob. Amazon does sell all three.
Good kit, based on experience the elastic on the sides will stretch and the bit extender will drop out. So my solution was to use an old pen clip on mine.
Love this sheath I have the wave plus with bit kit a bit extender and a streamlight microstream that's my set up and I love it I carry it in my edc bag (maxpedition malaga)
Thanks for the video! I didn't think I would be able to squeeze both bit kits in the case for my Surge. With a little persuasion I was able to cram both bit kits, the extender, and a small Ti flashlight!
Good build,I have a leatherman wave and I put a flat whistle in place of the bits and a small fire steel on one side and a small flashlight on the other side,👍👍
Just to let you know the bit extenders will only handle about 25 ft/lbs before they break. The Charge slot where the bit extender goes into will handle less than that. From videos I've seen that have tested that. Other than that, I have a Surge with the bit kit and extender, with the same pouch as you and I absolutely love it!! It's my main EDC. You're Charge kit looks like a great kit too!!
I've picked a charge tti plus with a small watch battery twist olight flashlight on the pouch , bit set and exstender. Also bought a surge and a squirt for small jobs
I have a Charge orange G10 in this case, with the extension and a Open mini. I only have 1 set of flat bits, but I mixed up some of the bits, so I have my most used bits. It's a clean lite use, casual carry. I then EDC the same Leatherman sheath, but with a Ozark Trail Multiforce, with the extension it comes with, and another extension, and a set of Wiha bits. I am always tightening doorknobs and other things that I sometimes need the extra extension. The extra extension fits next to the bits and I have a Open mini, on the other lupe, where you have your light. I have a Olight IR2 Pro that I carry all the time with a Victorinox Rambler, on a locking carabiner that I connect on a belt lupe. I sometimes forget it's on my belt lupe
I have a similar loadout, but with the Leatherman Wave, bit kit, an Exotac Nanostriker XL (orange) in one of the side loops, the Streamlight Microstream USB on the other loop and a firecord lanyard hanging from the Nanostriker. I'm currently using the default kit that came with my Wave, but looking to update to the newer Leather Nylon Sheath (I like the snap better than velcro) but the kit gives me a great multi-tool (w/ bit kit), a light source (which can be recharged easily) and a source of fire.
"I also have the bit extender on the other side of this little pouch, fits like a glove, fits like it was made for it" - Gear Nut It is made for it.....
Great kit. I will be building two similar kits. One with the same Leatherman but with the new ratchet and a ferro rod. The other a Coyote-colored Signal and the Sight Adjuster Bit Driver Extender and a ferro rod to be kept with our hiking gear. I will keep the smaller bit kit set with the Signal and the larger bit kit with the Charge Plus. Note: the Sight Adjuster Bit Driver Extender can accept other bits that are not Leatherman. I also added the two bit holder mods to replace the whistle and sharpener,
I carry a Wave series 2, full bit kit, bit extender, leatherman Crunch, MagLite Mini and fisher space pen, all in a Gerber QuadSheath, generally the weight isn't an issue but sometimes it gets caught when getting into the car.
Just a little tip you might want to try. If you carry it on your belt with something of similar weight on the other side ( Such as your phone with an external battery charger )you'll barely notice you're wearing it. I use the Dewalt Smartphone case on the other side and carry them all the time.
@3:30 "are they as strong as regular hex bits? I don't think so" Technically you are right, but using it with a Leatherman multitool, they will do more than alright - your Leatherman will rather desintegrate before you break the bottom of a bit, it's tough tool steel!
Awesome kit. I carry something very similar (I have the Wave from a long time ago, haven't upgraded to the Charge Plus yet). I do EDC it and my one complaint is that I can't attach that case to my belt horizontally. The older case, that has the Velcro, attached horizontally, and I liked it better, but the side pockets are not the right size to carry the torch and the bit extender (they are both the same size - to tight for the torch, to loose for the bit extender). The Charge + is a great tool. I also like the Signal paired with a Squirt PS4.
Bob Moreno II a maxpedition single pouch with a little stretching fits my new wave, but kit, bit extender, and a single aaa light. If you wear a thin belt you could have it horizontal on a belt.
I just can't have a bit driver on my leatherman. I have to have a seperate mini bit ratchet, because I sometimes need a driver on both sides of something.
Cool kit! That flashlight looks really close to the Lumintop Tool AAA. Do you think that sheath could hold a slightly larger flashlight such as the Lumintop Tool AA 2.0 that recently came out? I think it measures about 3.5” x 0.73”. Would really prefer a AA light for longer lasting capabilities.
Just checked and a 13mm deep well socket has the exact diameter of the Tool AA 2.0. I tried fitting the socket in my old leatherman side pocket. It fits but the elastic is stretching a decent amount. Not sure if the newer sheath has larger elastics or not.
I aways have my leatherman charge tti plus with the bit set bit extender only I carry a fine tip Milwaukee marker instead of a flash light. Then I have a leathrman skeltool. They both live on my hip. I would not go anywhere without them.
I have same Lumitop 3A for 3 ares black battery is a beast 3 mods and I use it with key chain and its not all black no more and its fall 100 times its like the brick and I low that flash light. Please can you tell me I have Skeletool CX and I will buy bits also flesh light will bee on pauch but I don't now what size to buy M with extra packet or L. So help please. Best regards from Croatia 🇭🇷.
I carry a leatherman charge tti plus with the s30v steel blade have a bit kit in my pouch also but have the slots to the outside or opposite of the way y ok u carry yours have my bit extender also with the thick side down and thin side up otherwise it seems to work up and fall out also carry a maglite solitaire flashlight that has 47 lumens if I remember right with electric tape around the butt end to bite on and if the tape is thick enough the light does not slip out either fyi thanks for the video cheers
I carry a Charge TTi Plus, Fisher space pen, ThruNite Ti3 on my belt in this Leatherman pouch. I find if you carry one set of bits instead of two it fits better and is easier to carry.
PLS can you post the link for the leatherman bag? I don't find a single one how fit the leatherman + bit kit set + bit extender. Would be rly nice of you. 🙂
Greate video! But, there’s something missing.. the sheath comes with 2 sizes M / L . Which one do you have? I have the Wave Plus and I’m thinking to buy this sheath but don’t know which sizes to choose.
Gear Nut that’s what’s leatherman says but lot of people complaining about the M size that it’s too tight and others says it’s fit perfectly 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️
I put 2 bit kits behind my Wave. They fit. But now the snap is a bit loose and won't hold well. I checked with Leatherman support. They said the sheath is only designed to hold 1 bit kit. So having 2 bit kits will stretch the sheath. That's why the snap won't hold well. Anyone has similar problem? Any suggestion for solution other than just carrying 1 bit kit?
My suggestion is to buy a new one and leave it in good warm water ( about 60 CELSIUS), not boiling. Then stretch it slow an softly by hand. May you have to repeat the process.

heavy? I edc 6 days a week a leathernman surge with a brass spacepen and the same massdrop flashlight, but with one bit holder with select bits and in a leather holster. once you get used to it the weight becomes a non issue.
Leatherman hex bits are not the greatest. They either need to do them better or they need to just make them torx bit. I have better hex bit with both my Victorinox and SOG multi-tools. They are better made and will do the job better. And I plan on getting the Gerber Center Drive because of the feature of being able to use regular hex bits and not have to buy proprietary bits for my multi-tool.
@Locust Hypnosis If you have the extension tool for Leatherman otherwise they will not work because the Leatherman bits are only for Leatherman multitools. The ones for SOF, Victorinox, and Gerber are regular .25" hex bits.
If you want to avoid the problem of the stretching nylon external pocket, put all the contents into the maxpedition edc pocket organizer for around $22. Nothing will ever fall out.

No había pensado en eso
A removable slim pen/pencil clip solves that.
i know I am kinda off topic but do anyone know a good site to stream new movies online?
@Lucca Miguel Flixportal :)
@Reece Andrew thanks, I signed up and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :) Appreciate it!!

I really enjoyed this. I've just got my bit kit and this has given me a few ideas. Love your channel. Thanks!
Don’t stop UA-cam you make it to the top
That's a great set up especially with the 154cm blade on the Leatherman charge Plus can't forget the replaceable wire cutters very nice God bless

My go to is the Leatherman Crunch. Works where others can’t and it takes standard 1/4” bits.
Just to let you know the bit extenders will only handle about 25 ft/lbs before they break. The Charge slot where the bit extender goes into will handle less than that. That's really cool, that would great for a service technician on the road
As a caretaker this is basically my exact EDC :)
.........add a knipex pliers-wrench 125 & you"ve got most things covered :)
3:39 In the bit extension you can already have a normal phillips tip installed, of the most used type.
I've picked a charge tti plus with a small watch battery twist olight flashlight on the pouch , bit set and exstender. Also bought a surge and a squirt for small jobs

I have the same kit built but around the surge and I do edc it and the stuff I can do with it is incredibly

Very nice! I have a similar kit setup, but with the Wave, compared to the Charge.
Similar also but with Rebar- knifeless (UK) great EDC :)
You think a Acebeam pokelit AA would fit okay in that side slot where you have your flashlight? I’m looking to buy this pouch
Nice kit brother.
You can get the 4.5 inch case too.
I carry a Wave series 2, full bit kit, bit extender, leatherman Crunch, MagLite Mini and fisher space pen, all in a Gerber QuadSheath, generally the weight isn't an issue but sometimes it gets caught when getting into the car.
Why not downsize and put a vice grips in a tactical boot sheath? And a crescent wrench in your concealed jockstrap!
Ugh...
Awsome. love it.. I use a charge plus with maglite solitare and the bit holders.

Is that the medium or large sheath
Does it work with the Leatherman Wave Plus?
0:58
I have the camo charge+ really perfect for EDC with the pocket clip
I just can't have a bit driver on my leatherman.
I have to have a seperate mini bit ratchet, because I sometimes need a driver on both sides of something.
Why not use a surge? I think it's best overall tool kit
Great video, thank you for sharing.

Okay, just figured it out.... Thank you!
I ordered one.
“I do every day carry it, sometimes.”
They say that if you every day carry a leatherman wave sometimes, that 60% of the time it works every time.
I carry a Charge TTi Plus, Fisher space pen, ThruNite Ti3 on my belt in this Leatherman pouch. I find if you carry one set of bits instead of two it fits better and is easier to carry.
Agreed, I took the bits I use most often & put them in one card & just have that in my pouch.

im in your situation now. did you get the large nylon case for your wave plus??? im trying to set up this kit for this summer
@@GearNut is the large sheath longer or just wider in depth??
In the Leatherman Spain web site the recommend using the L for the Wave, specially if you also want to varry the full bit kit

Flip the bits back to back it won't be as tight
