Very cool explanation and makes sense!
Thank you!
Wow Great lesson Milo! Can’t wait to see you at Talons the next time you’re up in Utah
Let's do it, thanks Jarrett!
Great video Milo super helpful especially coming from my lesson last Saturday with you. Question, do you think his laid off swing effects distance/club head speed? Thank you!
He gets it out there pretty good. Plenty of speed with rotation. I believe he has been working out a bit more as well.
What's interesting is how similar this is to how his father, Jay Berger, served in tennis: he'd set his racket up and hanging down behind his back, then pause before tossing the ball and rising up to hit it. Though Jay reached #7 in the world and won 3 titles, his serve was his greatest weakness, but his terrific ground strokes made up for it. With Daniel, though, he's made this unorthodox pre-set into a strength. In this video, you can see Jay's serve 13 seconds in: ua-cam.com/video/4ZVnbL2F9jw/v-deo.html
Great insight, thanks!
1:09 crosses over by waist high, Milo !!please make a lesson about this without snap booking everything. Your very crossed over too. Crazy swing, flying right elbow at the top but his hands are still way above his head! I don’t think his is the longest but making $
When you say crossover, do you mean the release?
@@MiloLinesGolf yes, right hand over left,
is it a conscious thing that u try to do from the top, or like your other videos it takes care of itself? check faldo and ernie els' swing
@@gzman1 it happens as a result of physics you don’t make it release

You guys kill me, come to Mass we'll show you what cold is. That's golfing weather out there :)
Haha, Henry is from Maine and even he was cold. Cold is cold I suppose.
Berger of Wolff completely different swings but both great players, the ball doesn't care what the swing looks like , impact is all that matters.
You got it, Les!
I know another pro, who does that. Wears funny colors like orange :-)
Little bit.
@@MiloLinesGolf Ricky Fowler and John Rahm. He got a short backswing but i think he has turned the doorknob already too.
Why don't u show the swing from the start
Cupping the wrist at the top gets you steep as hell coming down. Why would bowing the wrist at the top get your steep? That doesn’t make sense to me..
There was no mention of bowing the lead wrist in this video. Not quite sure what you are referring to?
@UC2RZJwFu95_KTTbGtlp-cNA Berger doesn’t ever bow the lead wrist in his swing. Supination doesn’t necessarily mean flexion on the other side.
@@MiloLinesGolf sorry.. I’m referring to “if we have everything pre-set, most amateurs will get steep on the way down.”
I just don’t understand the comment on why this would lead to steepness. Thx Milo.
@@golfkhakis anyone with a less strong grip would be bowed at the top but because of the strength of Berger’s left hand it doesn’t become flexed. Now to answer why having the COM behind the player at the top generally causes steepening, first most players lack the mobility to pull this off, second it creates a loading of the muscles in the wrists arms and shoulders that want to unload and for most it will cause the shaft to reverse course, lastly the torque put into the shaft by the unwinding of the body will naturally try to tip the club out.

It's annoying when "pga pro teachers" use "normal" when describing a swing. All pros, especially the really good ones, DJ, Rahm, Berger all do this move with the wrists at the top yet you have the nerve to compare it to a "normal" swing. That is the problem with golf instructors is they want you to swing like them. Copy whoever your ability, confidence and athleticism allows you too.
You must be very arrogant to believe the golf swing you teach is better.
Lighten up Frances.
@@grizztrax7716 Perhaps you mean, Francis?
You got me there, chief. Good one!
@@grizztrax7716 Love that movie!! Thanks for reminding me!
