I don't mind the negative comments mate. It's a fact that negativity always gets directed upwards. People that are actually making moves in life and are actually happy in their own lives NEVER bother directing negativity at people that are actually trying. They may give constructive criticism though, and I'm grateful that I regularly receive plenty of that too. When I witness someone just constantly dishing out negativity to people that are actually trying, its clear to me that they are just a sad loser that is doing nothing in their own life. Sad but true. . . . . . Oh and you can't make a success of anything in this life without picking up a few haters. So to me the haters are a sign that I am doing something right! 👍

Keep rolling with it. You'll reap what you have sowed eventually. I started my own business 4 years ago full time, been slow at points but now its finally taking off, bigger workshop, employee etc.. means soon I can get more serious with my escort again.

It's hard work having three old escorts it's Ford they do the one you need to do a good job on the one you are rebuilding and keep it and I would get rid of the other mk2 as the shell needs a lot of work now you're had your fun if I had the money I would of being a welder myself but it needs a lot of work if stuck strip the parts of it don't sell the mk1 or the other mk2 your rebuilding your the only one who can make you mind on it up keep strong you will sort everything out 👍

Great video Marcus if you have to sell the mrk1 to follow your dream then that’s the way to go. I sold my mint mrk1 mex to follow our dream of owning our own fishing lake and campsite in France. Regrets at the time but not now. We have just sold the dream after 20 years with no regrets on the escort and now have money to buy an even better one. Always look at the big picture you never know what’s coming but you can make your dreams happen with the right decision

Good video mate , I’ve put myself in the same boat a little bit having to many cars but also not wanting to get rid of them as it doesn’t make any good benefits , don’t give up on your dreams and keep going mabey just slow the videos down slightly so it’s not so much pressure on yourself having to upload one every week is a big task people don’t understand if they don’t make videos , I would definitely get them bits welded up mate as it will only be a matter of time before the rust comes back and you’ve got to do it again 👍

I’d like to see you doing a mig or tig welding course, I think there’s a place up Leicester way that might at a stretch let you work on your car- think they do a lot of bike stuff. Or perhaps see if you can colab with Urchfab and do a good job of the welding yourself. You’re doing a good job regardless though Marcus 🤙

sell the new one you're doing when finished and whilst she's still in perfect condition ..... to maximise the money......... if you keep her you'll always worry about getting her scratched and losing money.......... i was the same with my AMG, she became a garage queen............. or you've got too many cars and reduce then to two.
The plan WAS to finish her and then sell her soon after (as I mentioned in this video) BUT financially I don't think I'll be able to finish her. Yeh garage queens are no fun. 👍
Keep up the good work I Dailly drive an early mk 5 escort been the most reliable car I've had body work isn't the best but does everything I need it to personally I'd sell maude and focus on the other mk 2 one less car for you to worry about and extra space
I WAS proper set on selling Maude but it just wouldn't have been worth it. By the time I had bought another daily I would be in the same boat again and then I'd have to sell one of the others. 🙁
@@marcushayesford you'll have a Lot less issues with the crosflow engine and like you said cheaper to run I've done 21k miles in a year with my 1.3 not 1 problem with the engine have you not thought about just locking one of them away and forgetting about it for a few years

Marcus would this idea be any good to you.. strip maude and use parts for Heidi and Esther. Ie . The bottom end or engine for Esther . Other parts for Heidi. Store maude away .. or go back royal mail. Or get another job for funds as can imagine UA-cam don't help much. Whatever you choose all the best 👍 👌
All good ideas mate! 👍 . . . . . I wouldn't work for Royal Mail again though. The culture there doesn't suit me. Too many people trying to earn a lot of money by doing as little as possible. I'm slowly un-learning everything I learnt there and turning myself into a better person.

You certainly do have a dilemma with your three cars. Unfortunately there isn’t one that encompasses your passion for a vehicle that,t you can use for drift days, one for a daily and one to build to provide us with content to watch. It appears that three is the magic number.

My only issue with your content is the videos where you looking at other people cars. I wish you would be allowed to drive the car and talk about how it feels to drive maybe a little history about the car etc. You could even do this to cars which aren’t classic fords. There is a you tuber I user to watch called number27 and he would repair this classic ferrari he used to own. His channel started to get a ton more views when he started test driving a bunch of different cars and talking about them positives and negatives etc. This is probably not what you want to do with the channel just a suggestion from me.
I appreciate your input mate. I do always try to get the owner to talk about the history etc. Maybe one day I'll be able to afford to get the insurance needed to actually test drive the cars (if the owners would let me of course! 😃)

Id keep esther mate are the panels you need for heidi any good on maude? Maybe save the engine for esther sell the shell and use what you can on heidi and esther. Just get something cheap to drift and wreck. I think having heidi done as you are going original will be better and then would be worth it in value
