  • John Walton, Ph.D. is professor of Old Testament at Wheaton College and graduate school. He is the author of "Ancient Israelite Literature in its Cultural Context" (Zondervan Academic, 1994), "The Lost World of Scripture: Ancient Literary Culture and Biblical Authority" (InterVarsity Press, 2013), "The Lost World of Adam and Eve: Genesis 2-3 and the Human Origins Debate" (IVP Academic, 2015), and the book discussed in this interview, "The Lost World of Torah: Law as Covenant and Wisdom in Ancient Context" (IVP Academic, 2019).
