  • Just a very short and not professionally produced video of a DeepTech Vista X unboxing. Some of my best finds have come from what I call "Beep Dig" detectors. After selling all my Tesoro Beep Digs when they folded, that spot in my detector stable has been empty.
Not anymore! More info can be found here: deeptech-bg.com/vista-vlf-met...
I purchased from Richard at Backwoods Detectors. He was great to deal with! He can be emailed at backwoodsdetectors@comcast.net, and the website is backwoodsmetaldetectors.com
Grommy Lommy, I'm coming for you!!!

Thanks! We're getting non-stop rain in Maryland, but the first day without rain I'll be out there with it.

Back last year about June I was going to pull the trigger on one, problem was at that time Richard didn't have them so instead I opted to buy a Rutus Alter 71 v2 and a couple additional coils, that package came from across the pond so it was costly.
I like the beep machines also, I have a new Tesoro Tejon with additional coil that I have yet to try along with the Alter 71 still need to get my feet wet on both.
The problem I had with the Vista X once they were available was the price and the idea that it is water resistant unless it is covered and the problem that would occur in dark situations, deep woods, low light or night situations But my main reason for not going with it is there just was not a lot of videos showing the machine in action, yeah you can go to forums and read stuff but seeing it in action imo gives you a better thought process of how the machine performs.
Think about this as far as the low light situations, All they would have had to do is have a amber or dark transparent front face plate under the dials and an adjustable push knob and that problem would be solved and you could hunt at night, pretty sure you could make one with the 3d printer.
On the Vista X I like the idea of being able to buy an extra battery pack and have it with in case you need a change out, say like your batteries went unexpected dead, whip out the back up battery pack fully loaded and quickly put it in for a full day hunt.
I personally like the PLIB rechargeable Kentli PH5 3000 mWh batteries, they are costly here in the states but you can order them through AliExpress for half the cost if time is not an issue, it took close to 3 weeks for them to arrive But man I have ran the T2 SE LTD for few long days hunting in a row with out needing a recharge, amazing batteries.
I can't wait to watch your upcoming videos using the Vista X but honestly I don't think I will get one unless you find it so amazing you want to retire your F75.

Thanks for the comment! I avoided the Vista X for the longest time for a lot of the very same reasons you mentioned. And I still almost didn't get it, almost going with another Vaquero. But curiousity almost got the best of me, and I had a great tax return this year, much more than predicted, so threw it into the "why not life is too short" purchase category, hahahaha. Had a great deal come along on a Vaquero though I'd be with that, just all the ones I was seeing were near $400, and the good deal ones were always getting swooped up before I could snatch them. I have a video uploading now running the Equinox through a site that me and a handful of others have hit really hard, it's almost completely empty of anything that registers as a high conductor. The Equinox managed to sniff out 3 wheat's, some modern copper, two buttons, and a silver pendant. I'm going to take the Vista X to that same site and see what shakes off the Apple tree, I'm hoping for at least one more seated or barber out of it!
Ole' Calabash almost just got banned from Dankowski's forum, and he's gotten the boot or booted himself from Friendly's Forum, so his options are dwindling if he doesn't stop caring what people are swinging. I always thought it was weird about the comments being turned off, but he's said it's because he doesn't like the butthurt comments. But then he posts his vids detector bashing and burries himself in butthurt comments, so kind of weird.
Thanks for watching, and appreciate the comment and dialogue. You actually got me thinking, I could easily design an LED light bar or hood for night detecting AAA powered and clamp on. I might work on that this weekend.

The last thing to add, after I got it all put together, the fit and finish is great. Everything is right, no looseness, or wiggles, or creaking parts. I’m looking at your Minelab! 😂
