So the Threshold control on this is like a squelch control on a cb radio, correct?? Just bought the X today, getting schooled up on it before I start my "hands on training", enjoyed your video Mr. Southern. Hoping this analog unit can coax some targets out of heavy iron that my state of the art Digital screened detectors just cant.
The vista x is almost a tejon clone and could be made really good with a very small concentric coil say 6x3 elipticle . Some of us still use the beep and dig machines mainly because on a bed of nail type fields like which we have in england then the multi frequency machines just dont work ...
You seem to get a better signal response to the 10 inch dime with the Gold Gain when you tested it in your other video maybe the soil was damp in the other video ? ua-cam.com/video/k5UbTJ3u0kQ/v-deo.html
I can see the application for this machine, but, is this really a 2019 developed machine!! In 30 years from a Fisher 1265 / 1266 this is what they come up with...dual disc, come on Deeptech, try thinking out of the box please.....I hope it does well, and I can see a market for it, but for me, it’s lazy thinking and bad ergonomics. Twin trigger for left and right? Why not have a central trigger with a different shaft configuration....I reckon it’s down to budget really and manufacturing costs. I have a Deeptech vista...good machine, fast and decent depth but was going to sell it but the resale value in the UK is low too...they need to change their thinking. Catch up guys, please. Great review though, thank.
I can't agree. It works other way. In modern times all machines have fountains of functions mostly useless. Here you have a true working tool with all necessary features. Both triggers work very well. You can trust me I'm metal detecting doctor ;)
@@omnitron Well said. Don't knock a thing unless you've REALLY tried it I reckon. If Keith Southern rates it then that's enough said. If it was a no gooder he'd say it.
@@heidiholiday1879 been treasure hunting since 1974 and trust me I have had machines with more knobs than that. Lol. Still have the old ones as well as the new machines that just come out. Xps.. minelabs.. chaser's..t2 ltd.. anfibo... Fisher f75... To name a few. I know my machines with or without knob's. Lol. Any way good luck hunting and enjoy the great hobby!👍

Your videos may be long but you're getting a lot of information so that's what makes them very interesting
Really like your long vids bud, I’m from the uk and uts very informative 👏

Another excellent video by Keith!!!
How comparable is the Tejon to the Vista X? I see several similarities.
Still enjoying your videos please come back and make some post on the forums
Great Test On New New X Model!
Good review Keith

Keith your video was very informative but next time go in with a game plan with what you will cover
If I did that I'd never make a video . I don't have the time to make videos really 🤣
What's the switch on bottom left side of box?
tesoro tejon.
Tejon is still a damn good MD I think. Lethal for thin section English hammered coinage and small gold.
Dommage, pas de sous titre pour une traduction en Français . Merci quand même !
Interesting!
It's a Great detector was a 8-in octagon coil
How about a video that shows how to tune and locate coins 12 inches and deeper with sweep speed
👍👍💪

@@omnitron They said the same about the tesoro machines and the blisstool. Old tech, new package.

19💀80s would have been a ass kicker! Why would anyone wanna go back in time when detecting is nothing like that now, it dont even make sense.
To many knobs. I'll stick to my nox 800
steely dan very simple to set
The"too many knobs" allows one to hunt with precision, however, if one isn't capable of such---then"too many knobs".
