2016 Veloster Turbo mirror cap removal

- Previous to this video i showed how to install the mirror caps, but in this video, i am showing how to remove them carefully.
All you need is a slim old credit card type of plastic and watch how i slowly pry the mirror caps off.
Ufnortunately 1 clip was broke when removing but i am still able yo use if i want to use them in the future.
Thank you for the video. It is great. Following your method, I have just replaced a mirror cover that was damaged. May I add the use of a plastic push bike tyre (tire) lever in this process. use the credit card under the lever to protect the body of the mirror and apply gentle force with the lever. The clip(s) near the place where the mirror joins the door are the ones to attack in this way. First I went all the way round with the card and then attacked the bottom corner clips with the lever. This resulted in the cap flipping out quite easily. Thanks again. good job!

How long time did it take for you? It toke alomste 20min for me but i have the i30 turbo model

Going to see if it works for my Tucson. Maybe you should've tried heating the adhesive with a hairdryer or heat gun to make it easier to get off.
It was my first time ever doin such things & had no idea it had any adhesive, but that is a brilliant idea, thank you
@@Too-Gq-For-You yeah they probably use adhesive to keep water from getting into the computers and f**king them up. It's a good point. Believe me, I'm still a noob at this kinda stuff 🤣
@@MDKN22 no water or any issues on either the tucson or the veloster turbo since doing this. The adhesive did not provide a seal in the first place, more so between the spaced clips.

The clips will hold it in. Im at 120k miles and they have never come off nor have had water get in there.
Do we get to buy just that cover separately?
