I get the feeling that the writers didn’t research who these characters are and just quickly glanced at their biographies from a DC handbook...actually given how Guy Gardna turned out even that’s giving them too much credit
The fact that Nash is actually on the Rotten Tomatoes page for Green Lantern at the start is a nice little detail you don't often see in reviews and sometimes even movies.
Dear god what did they do to the Justice League, I mean who wants to see the JLA battling the legions of Darkseid, foiling the latest scheme of Lex Luthor and the Injustice League, we want to see how the JLA reacts to missing the latest episode of Sienfeld
"How do you screw up a concept as simple as Green Lantern?" Um, Green Lantern is not a simple concept. Green Lantern has arguably the most complicated mythology in all of the DC Universe.
That's what I was thinking. The Green Lantern mythos should have its own universe sometimes. For the most part, it's self contained, because everything happens in space, and the individual lantern corps themselves have perhaps the longest and complicated histories behind them in the DC universe. Just talking about the green lantern corps, no other corps, can get a newbie potentially confused.
@Caleb Mayfield More in the sense of "It could be it's own thing" rather than should, I suppose. There's so much lore, (I did my undergrad research on it) the GL mythos is almost the size of the rest of the DC world combined. It would probably make things simpler just for general story purposes to have separate universes. Of course, then we couldn't have justice league unlimited...
Well John Kassir did the voice of Adam the Clown from Dead Rising, and Monsoon from Metal Gear Rising: Revengence. Both are superior roles than the Atom.

Still love how this American production butchered three Keaton era Batman masks in order to secure our heroes *cough* secret identities. Also that New Metro is once again poor Vancouver. Made Detroit via Robocop 2, San Francisco via 1996 film Doctor Who and Chicago for The Dresden Files. God I know too much TV and Film.
17:55 In hindsight, this part of the episode looks and sounds eerily like a Matt Hoss "how to creepily pick up women who just want to run away screaming from you."

I know "I just have to go turn into the hulk now, excuse me" was a joke, but if a Hulk movie/TV show featuring a young Miguel Ferrer as Bruce Banner existed, I'd watch the hell out of it.
As much as I love Miguel Ferrer, he's already the Weather Wizard. Not just that, he was wasted for this role. I could've easily seen John Cusack, and keep the name. Although then again, I see him more in the 90s Flash show with John Wesley Shipp.
An episode of the power rangers had better production values than this! This makes me long for reruns of Superboy. Even Wonder Woman had much more care in her show.
As a UK resident i should add that that logo on the top left of the screen is from the British channel "channel 5" [yeah imaginative] - and this was only ever aired once on it, and indeed in the the UK ever.
realistically speaking having uncontrolled ice powers would suck even more than Frozen would lead you to believe. If you inadvertently freeze any body of water near you than you're going to freeze any human near you to death too. Kevyn The DevylMan If you say so, My only personal gripe (Aside from Martian Man Hunter) is that GL's hands look weird because one's a "Gauntlet" sorta thing, whereas the other is just a ring. Looks silly.

But hey, everyone's gotta start from somewhere, although Ferrer is a more experienced and older actor that David. So...there :D
Mark Waid (DC writer for Justice League, notably Kingdom Come) called this the worst 80 minutes he'll never get back.
They forgot to mention the part where Martian Manhunter, disguised as Fire, actually uses her powers... Martian Manhunter's weakness IS FIRE!
RialVestro that’s... just... stupid
I get the feeling that the writers didn’t research who these characters are and just quickly glanced at their biographies from a DC handbook...actually given how Guy Gardna turned out even that’s giving them too much credit
It would be like having Superman use kryptonite to power himself up.
The fact that Nash is actually on the Rotten Tomatoes page for Green Lantern at the start is a nice little detail you don't often see in reviews and sometimes even movies.
I love how they use the music from the animated Justice League.
CommentPoster10 it is the definitive Justice League
I think we all enjoyed that, a nice little reminder of how JLA can be done right...that and it’s catchy music on its own
So, they tried to make them like "Friends" with super powers?
All the problems with this pilot can be summed up with your comment.
***** I do like to sum things up. :)
Chris McWilliams lol, a review in The Austin Chronicle made the same comparison. This pilot was just so lame.
Winter Steele Yeah no kidding. The Atom uses his powers to save a cat. A CAT! Dora the Explorer is more action packed than this thing.
***** You're forgetting the riveting scene where he shrinks down into the TV to fix it. :) Thankfully Ray Palmer today is SO much better.
DC fact: Miguel Ferrer would later go on to be the voice of Vandal Savage in Young Justice,Which is getting a third season.
D.C. Fact number #2 Miguel Ferrer was also the voice of the Weather Wizard in Superman: The Animated Series.
Unfortunately since Ferrer's passing they're going to need to recast Savage.
Rest in Peace.
Mike Manhattan he also played Deathstroke in Teen Titans the Judas Contract
He did an excellent Martian Manhunter in Justice League: the New Frontier.

This is the super hero cartoon from Dexter's Lab in live action. Can't wait to see them change a light bulb.
Plutia's pet id rather watch a full trilogy of the Justice Friends than this shit
No matter how bad you think Justice League is? It's no where near as bad as this.
The real Justice League of America is the friends we made along the way
