- Today we dive into English rock band ARCTIC MONKEYS. "I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor" was the band's first single from their debut album WHATEVER PEOPLE SAY I AM, THAT'S WHAT I'M NOT (2006). It debuted at number 1 on the UK singles chart !

They were just kids when this came out. Within 18 months they were headlining the UKs biggest festival at Glastonbury
The studio version is brilliant (not that is bad at all ) and if you want an amazing live crowd for this song listen to their performance of it at TRNSMT 2018 👍

They were babies! God they were so good right from the off. Such a flipping fabulous band.
Their first single from their first album. The fastest selling debut album in UK history. It sold 350,000 copies in it's first week. One of them mine.
Every track on the album is gold. It basically talks about the night life in Sheffield, clubbing, getting a taxi home. Try Fake Tales of San Francisco or From the Ritz to the Rubble next. Hell just go through the entire album you will not be disappointed.
Love this song! It was the first song of theirs I had heard, it was one of their first hits if not the first. They just came on the scene and blew all others away!
They seemed pretty confident right out of the gate .... like We're the Arctic Monkeys and boom !! 😎
Anything from the AM album is a banger. You must react to "Do I Wanna Know". The thing I love about them is (like Muse as well), every album sounds different but still Arctic Monkeys

I live just round the corner from where they (and many other great bands) come from. Saw them when they first started.

Great reaction to an amazing band. To me this is almost punk it's that raw, but great at the same time. To me it really stood out when it came out and still does today.

Great song, great album. Can I suggest you look into some Nothing But Thieves. They are another British band with a bit of a Muse, Radiohead vibe. Lead sing Conor has amazing voice.
