Bought this as a first bike 3 weeks ago. Love it! 400 miles in and no complaints. I do agree that you have to have some discipline and start slow because this is a serious bike vs the 250 I trained on during the MSF course so I wouldn't necessary recommend it as a first bike but if you're mature and in good shape it's possible. Mind your manners for the first week (100 miles)until you get use to the power, weight, throttle, etc. Rode for 70 miles today on city, highway and back roads with a rev max around 10-11. Feel fresh and ready for another ride with no vibration issues. Thanks for the help Cager!
You probably dont give a damn but does any of you know a trick to log back into an instagram account? I was stupid lost the login password. I would appreciate any tips you can offer me!
@Lachlan Andres i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and im in the hacking process atm. I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
2:58 do you think the cbr 650 f is suitable for a beginner who never rode a motorcycle except a 71ps bike during drivers license lessons? Initially I was looking for a smaller bike like the 500r. but I am quite tall (6 foot 3ish) and I feel more comfortable on the 650 f. just not sure whether 87ps is good for an entry bike, allthough I didnt have trouble with the 71Ps when I made my drivers license
Cagerina, ha! Nice video review. I always enjoy your videos and look forward to the next one. After a 20-year hiatus, I recently got back into street riding. I strongly considered the CBR650F for the sport touring and canyon carving I enjoy doing here in Southern California. But I ultimately bought a 2015 Ninja 1000 ABS, which you had also previously reviewed. I love my bike and ride daily. Keep up the good work!
Yeah definately on a sporty bike. The best thing is when someone throws their own thoughts out there and also gives reason. not just "hm.. I dont like that.. feels wierd.. donno why i dont like this bike.."
Isn't the xj6 lighter than this? and fatter tyres do make the bike less nimble, I assume Honda had picked the 180 to make the bike look like a supersport, or as close as possible, because it's 70-ish rwhp just doesn't justify the use of a 180. Not sure if the XJ comes with ABS, because it's pretty old, and that's also something to consider.
Hi Cager... great review. I have a question... If you could afford either one, which bike would you prefer: Honda CBR500R or CBR650F? I already own a CBR500R, which I am happy with, but wonder if the CBR650F is worth the extra cash. The additional horse power sounds attractive but I question if the difference justifies the extra investment. I also would like to know if you think the 650 handles better on the highway. Is there a big difference in handling? I use the bike for commuting. PS: I am a fairly experienced rider that also owns a Harley Davidson Fatboy for touring.
i watched another video which the motorcycle was very close to finishing break in the vibrations is not the engines fault its the piston rings they are not seated yet so when they are the vibrations should stop plus the quality that's so weird because the one down at my dealership in Canada non of the motorcycle have lose parts even the very cheap ones so i think who ever built it did not do a good job on this one i wish i could show you a video but I'm telling you that they are built well down here in Ontario.
Hi CagerOnTwoWheels, thanks for the wonderful review! I, like you, was really curious about the CBR650F and was hoping that you would get a testride on one soon. I've been to a motorcycle show last weekend and could finally test ride the CB650F - sadly they didn't have the CBR - and i couldn't feel any "buzzyness" at all, just a smooooth machine. Did you feel the same vibrations on the CB you rode? how are the two compared? Since they are basically the same machines, just clip-ons and fairing added to the CBR... BTW: Love your videos, watched everything, since you started :-) You rock!
Hello there. Liked this video. That bike is gorgeous i saw one in red. Price is high to realy be beginner bike maby for some mature beginer. Also wanted to ask you can u get your hands on Harley Davidson iron 883 and triumph scrambler/thruxton or moto guzzi v7 racer. It will be nice to hear your opinions.
It seems very quiet in your helmet with very little wind noise.. is this accurate and if so what make/model helmet is it? My AGV lets loads of noise in.
Bons vídeos no geral!
Mixed review then, and I can't stand digital tachometers . I've got a YZF-R125 presently, but for me when I move onto something bigger I think Yamaha R6's seat height will be too high, Yamaha definitely has something against short people. I like the Honda CBR 600R a lot, but the power delivery might be too much for me as a newbie, I like the VFR800F but 800cc might be too powerful. This bike could be a better option.
When you are talking about the expression one would have between the two bikes, it reminded me of Inglorious Bastards. The scene when the Nazi says, "Oooooo that's a BINGO!". Not an insult. Just something I found funny.
How would you compare this to the ninja 650 with ABS? The Ninja is about $1000 cheaper here (although I haven't gone in to a dealership yet). Personally I like the way the 650f looks over the Ninja quite a bit, but the Ninja looks like it'd be more commuter friendly.
Honda and Yamaha dealers in Greece are ripping us appart. I see your prices over there and its just unreal. Especially since Kymco has similar prices to yours and Sym is considerably cheaper!
DUDEEEE got test the xt660z aka TENERE i really want to hear what you think of it, and since theres is hardly any review, decent one, of it.... And you could be THE FIRST to actually do a proper one!!! I'll pay you a cheeseburber!! ahahaha

@Lachlan Andres It worked and I actually got access to my account again. Im so happy:D
Thank you so much, you saved my ass!
@Kamryn Kian No problem xD
I'm very impressed with Honda's line-up as of late. They really have something for everyone with almost no gaps.

Really Love the roads you ride on,loads of twisties.
Awsome, cager vid on a friday Also Your reviews are more informative and more enjoyable then chaseontwowheels. you do these best of the Vloggers :)
Jonas P Definitely, a good review should have acceleration runs, otherwise is a bit boring.
Yeah definately on a sporty bike. The best thing is when someone throws their own thoughts out there and also gives reason. not just "hm.. I dont like that.. feels wierd.. donno why i dont like this bike.."
Chaseontwowheels did a video on this bike? I can't find it anywhere and I really want to see it.
I think he was saying that Chase likes to say "Flickable" when describing a bike. He has not done a review on this one.
I just got this bike a few days ago and coming from a 250 it is awesome. I thank I will keep this bike a wile. Great review.
A better bike than I was expecting!

lovely review! which one do you think would be better suited for taller riders, the cb650f or the mt07? (i'm 195cm)
I like how you don`t drive between the cars. It`s common here in Brazil. Awesome videos. Watched both.
Honda is doing some big things in the 650 class. Hopefully Kawasaki will respond with an updated 650 using a triple or 4 cylinder engine.
archinuk417 i emailed Kawasaki almost a year ago i said if they don't make a 4 cylinder 650r at least make a 3 cylinder they won't listen :(
pinderfish1 No I'm still waiting lol. yeah i decided anyway will Kawasaki does something i might as well get the cbr650f.
CagerOnTwoWheels So if I change the tyres(both front and rear) to a much more round profile ones, this bike should become more agile then.

YankeeIronSights In terms of vibration and wind deflection, which one performs best in the highway?

Very good review mate. Just for the hell of it can you get your hands on a Goldwing that would be a fun review to watch.
It seems very quiet in your helmet with very little wind noise.. is this accurate and if so what make/model helmet is it? My AGV lets loads of noise in.
i like this video and the good review. may i ask for a comparison between this and the mt07 and this and the mt09 tracer? what do u think?
Did you have a chance to ride cb650f as well? How is it compared to CBR? thanks
Bons vídeos no geral!

How about this as a 2nd bike to my Harley Fatboy? Or compared to the Ninja 650 you just reviewed?
PS Subbed enjoy your video reviews
Al
Is this bike a good second coming from a 2014 CB500X
Okay, how does it wheelie?
I think, that this perfect everyday bike. It is not as sharp as CBR, but still it has enough power to have a fun.
which more fun compare to kawasaki z800?
Mixed review then, and I can't stand digital tachometers . I love that bike! But I chose a hornet instead when it came to buying one.. Still, basically the same bike ;) Great review!
Do you think someone could ride this at 5'3?
Hi Cager! Love your reviews! Hope to see you test a Kawi Z800 :)
cruising speed on it how much?
what's the power on this bike feel like compared to like a fz 07, other than where the power is (I know the power is at different points)
Ah, cool
Awesome review! :)
Is that a learners approved bike (lam) ?
Right now I own a cb500f. Would you consider the cbr650F good for still commuting everyday to work and sundays rides w/o having a huge consumption?
Yes. I have one and it’s a great commuting
I trade in my NC700x for the CBR650f and I am having fun
When you are talking about the expression one would have between the two bikes, it reminded me of Inglorious Bastards. The scene when the Nazi says, "Oooooo that's a BINGO!". Not an insult. Just something I found funny.
How would you compare this to the ninja 650 with ABS? The Ninja is about $1000 cheaper here (although I haven't gone in to a dealership yet). Personally I like the way the 650f looks over the Ninja quite a bit, but the Ninja looks like it'd be more commuter friendly.
the Ninja don't have ABS I believe. The Ninja also have less horsepower. I got the CBR650F in black and I love it.
Honda and Yamaha dealers in Greece are ripping us appart. I see your prices over there and its just unreal. Especially since Kymco has similar prices to yours and Sym is considerably cheaper!
is the cb650f just as fast as the cbr650f?
In the top end, no, at the start, maybe.
Isn't it a strange cheap front ??
Do you think that a guy who drive a cbr125 for 2 years can handle this bike too?
Sorry for my bad english ;-)
Lolbugs53 absolutely. just go easy above 6,000rpm until you get familiar with throttle control.
You make me be like the following:
"MUST BUY HONDA CBR650F"
"MUST BUY HONDA CBR650F"
I started liking this bike now. Like like like
Final verdict: The CB650F is less hilarious than the FZ6R. :) I'm getting the Fazer!
Hello ☺
Какие же у вас дороги хорошие)
DUDEEEE got test the xt660z aka TENERE i really want to hear what you think of it, and since theres is hardly any review, decent one, of it.... And you could be THE FIRST to actually do a proper one!!!
I'll pay you a cheeseburber!! ahahaha
Compare the Meerkat
Rage metre.. I like it lol
it's a nice bike from Honda but i think the MT-O7 is much cheaper and more fun even if it's a 2 cyl.
SERIOUSLY..200km/h doesnt scare you...
3...2...1... Like. 😉
