I have come after rebingeing the seasons that I forgot and seeing the final season. I have come to the conclusion that I have wasted a not insignificant portion of my life caring about something. The god damn fanfiction part of the fandom who are just rabid, incredibly prone to bashing , and just shippy somehow use the world and characters in a much better manner than anything the creators have done in the last couple years. So much potential and it ends up like this. Is this what Destiny 2 players think when they know that their game could have been so much more? The characters are wasted like Lila and Chloe who had some great potential and even had some form of redemption in planning before that got kicked to the side and used as some one dimensional bully cut outs for us to hate at. The “relationships” and the discourse coming from that just bugged the show for eternity and dragged things to a damn still. The main characters had something going for them before they devolved. Adrien was a good character who had some nuance and who you could root for to have fun and go against his dad and his controlling nature while also hoping for both of them to just be open and loving for like more than a single minute a season. Then he just got incredibly jealous and most of his character was just forgotten to act as this plot drive for Marionette to go after. Marionette was this obsessed fan girl who you would hate if she was a side character and she had her creepy and kinda sucky moments. But she could of been explored in many ways and could’ve learned from her many mistakes or could have even had a character point about her being that she has issues with that and has to have a lesson drilled into her head multiple times. She never got punished for those mistakes and she was driven to do so much not because of some nuance and deeper character traits but was instead driven by this obsession with Adrien. She has no seeming faults in universe and is basically a Mary Sue as she’s seemingly good at everything and has so much stuff going for her in life despite being a “normal girl with a normal life”. The main mentor figure character sucked as he never taught anything and was pretty useless. The villains had potential to be deep and conflicted characters who were to be some major threats against the cast. But that didn’t happen. Lots of world building stuff and potential in stuff we’re just cast to the wayside. So many issues. Also good video even if this was only the first season it really did point out and criticize a lot of the issues that the show had at the time and still has.
Maybe the Miraculous disguises their identity with some kind of confuser, making it so people who view them are unable to really identify their voice or looks

Um Wrong. In Chat Blanc when they were dating everything was fine. It's when Adrien transformed and HAWKMOTH found out is when everything went wrong. But if I want to be specific they really can't date ever in human form either, because Gabrielle would manipulate them anyway.

No actually Adreins dad didn’t like them dating (because he didn’t like what it was doing to the agreste image) so he broke them apart and threatened marionette that adrien wouldn’t be allowed to go to school if they kept dating.

Well it depended on the strongest emotion in the first season, but the second season in its terrible writing had Volpina come back way at the end because reasons, causing a mass emotion rise, making people weak to the akumas. Though the fact more than half of the akumas in that finale didn't use their powers and that the finale was not built up enough to feel important, plus had no lasting effect really made it come off like a lot of hot air. The show had potential from the first season and the newer seasons screwed that up by being poorly written as well as not structured well to be a good show, just latches on the love square because it's the only thing keeping it somewhat relevant to the fans.
Chat blanc was amazing when comes to ships and animation chat blanc was sad but not as sad as miracle queen it was more sad than chat blanc cuz master fu lost his memory and in the end there was a bigger wall between adrien and marinette

This made me realise that not recognising each other in different superhero outfits is like not recognising your friend every day because they were a different outfit every day.
sadly you find out in like 4 seasons that if they reveal their identities to each other then they would have to stop doing the super stuff.... Edit: i noticed you already knew that lol, which leads me to say this, that makes no sense... lady bug knows the identities of her friends when they go super mode and the power that takes that away is her saying "give it back" so its not like theres any godly power over the situation, so they could break this rule with no consquences. its just a plot hole that keeps getting deeper
They already did in Timebreaker, can't be more dead than being literally erased out of time, like most of the class and Chat Noir were, of course Ladybug fixed everyone at the end but still.

Chloe is what happens, when a childish neckbeard directly creates his highschool bully as a character, and throws tantrums and retcons character growth. The other writers were actually trying to salvage Chloe as a character, giving her quite a bit of growth and sympathetic traits. And then mr.Neckbeard actually started to do his job and pay attention to the writing room, and realised what they were doing, and threw a shitfit, pretty much straight up retconning all of that growth, and introducing a new character out of absolutely nowhere to fill the roll the other writers were trying to mature her into.
at the end of s5 ep23 she actually seems to have a breakdown, maybe she is going to have that redemption arc after all you need to realize some people don't change at the snap of fingers !! they need time, sometimes they need to be kicked in the butt multiple times - i honestly am not satisfied with what they did with chloe, but i can get why they did that.
It says alot that the main villain of the show is already deciding to work with Lila xD...but has never once decided to contact Chloe. He even stood up for Chloe when Lila badmouthed her in season 3.

Chloe's the type of girl to throw a fit cause her boyfriend didn't buy her a big enough ring. Lila's the type of girl to lie to her boyfriend about stealing the ring, tell him some other boy bought it to make him jealous, laugh and spread rumors about the other boy being in love with her and then laugh while he gets beaten up by her boyfriend. When it's all over, she maintains she was totally innocent and that it was just a mistake but that there was a boy who gave her the ring she just couldnt' tell who. Also she blames ladybug 10 times during the episode just because she can.
Apparently Hawk Daddy said once on his twitter that "mean people never can or will get a miraculous" implying that chloe wouldn't get to be Queen Bee but he's deleted the tweet since then.
Fun fact: Chloe has caused 45% of all the Akumas. Lady Wifi, Timebreaker, The Evillustrator, Rogercop, Dark Cupid, Horrificator, Kung Food, Antibug and Vanisher, Reflekta, Princess Fragrance, and Stone Heart. That's... About 11 (depending on if you count Antibug or Stoneheart). 11 / 25... is 0.44. ...Meanwhile, Marinette caused Gamer and Volpina (and one could argue Antibug, but I'm treating that as Chloe's fault for taking it too personally). Adrien's Dad also caused two; The Bubbler and Simon Says. Those are the only combo-causers. Adrien has only caused Copycat, Officer Roger has Mr. Pigeon, Otis has Animan, Jagged Stone caused Pixelator, and everyone else who caused an Akuma is just a one-episode character. ...I just find those statistics interesting.

Chloe is what happens, when a childish neckbeard directly creates his highschool bully as a character, and throws tantrums and retcons character growth. The other writers were actually trying to salvage Chloe as a character, giving her quite a bit of growth and sympathetic traits. And then mr.Neckbeard actually started to do his job and pay attention to the writing room, and realised what they were doing, and threw a shitfit, pretty much straight up retconning all of that growth, and introducing a new character out of absolutely nowhere to fill the roll the other writers were trying to mature her into.
at the end of s5 ep23 she actually seems to have a breakdown, maybe she is going to have that redemption arc after all
you need to realize some people don't change at the snap of fingers !! they need time, sometimes they need to be kicked in the butt multiple times - i honestly am not satisfied with what they did with chloe, but i can get why they did that.
