I'm Asian and grew up around Latinos and black people. In school, I don't remember talking about racism and politics. We celebrated cultures by having "World Days"....eating each other's food, going on field trips and going to church together as a school. We learned to celebrate our differences together. If I didn't like you, it's because you got a bad attitude not because of your race.

My son is Hispanic. When in middle school, he was invited to join, "The Diversity Club" which was once a week, during lunch. My son said he was in it, "for the free pizza." He said the Priniciple said at one meeting, "Now I'm sure everyone here has at one time been a victim of racism." My son said he was thinking, "No I haven't," while they went around the table getting comments on that topic. There is sort of a privilege in my opinion, getting take-out from the school while griping about other people's "micro-aggressions." I recently turned 60. On my mind has been how free society once was. Anyone could freely enter practically anywhere. Im a white man, my best friend growing up was a black man. I loved him like a brother and greatly miss him. He fell in with a rough crowd later in high school and became addicted to drugs and later committed suicide. I'm Asian and grew up around Latinos and black people. In school, I don't remember talking about racism and politics. We celebrated cultures by having "World Days"....eating each other's food, going on field trips and going to church together as a school. We learned to celebrate our differences together. If I didn't like you, it's because you got a bad attitude not because of your race.
I think this is something happen mainly to the white skin community, they somehow want you to think that "If you're white, you're inherently evil". I think this is crazy, and I'm not white.

I agree! I’m 45 and this is the first time I have felt like people are being racist; in both directions now and it’s unacceptable. I was taught not to see color and that was much better than what they are teaching now. Im a white man, my best friend growing up was a black man. I loved him like a brother and greatly miss him. He fell in with a rough crowd later in high school and became addicted to drugs and later committed suicide.
