- In this video I am showing you how I made an adorable Needle Felt gnome. It has been so long since I picked up my felting kit .. I just could not wait any longer.

I am very much a beginner so the rules for Needle Felting are
1. Safety first.
2. wear finger protectors.
3. Keep your eye on the needle at all times.
4. The needle must go in STRAIGHT .. at whatever angle you choose it must be straight. Do not twist or turn or bend the needle inside the wool as they are fragile. They snap very easily.
5. Use a felting mat and make sure the needles do not hit your table top. This will snap the needle.
The video is sped up for your benefit. I did not needle felt at this speed.

This is THE MOST FASCINATING thing I have ever seen. I have seen 1 other creator that I watch on a regular basis, do it. She made a miniature copy of her new puppy. She is an amazing creator of all things doll size miniature. At any rate, your gnome was AMAZING, and now I want to try this. Thanks so much for showing this, it's amazing.

Aaaahhhhh I've been needing this video!! I bought all the supplies ages ago and I have a pet Jersey Wooly bunny that sheds a ton of silky black and grey floof every single day! I want to make tiny needled bunnies with his floof 🤩 I loooove how your gnome came out!!!!!

I've spent a fortune on wools and tools that I don't use as resin took over my life! But you've inspired me to do Xmas needle felting projects. Well, at least 1 project! I have been watching all your videos for a while but now have to wait for my 12 year old son to be with me so we can watch together. I started needle felting few years back. Love it but only made 4 items. X

Congrats Clair on your 25K subbies!! I have enjoyed your journey as we have similar interests. Paper crafting, acrylic pouring, felting, but my most recently facemask making. Do you use dryer balls? They're felted wool balls placed in dryer to speed the dry time and fluff your clothes. Trying to use less chemicals on my skin. I use mostly wool yarn wound into a ball then felted with carded wool layer. A little tulip, heart, flower or shamrock design make a great gift for those we love!!!

Years ago, I learned how to card and felt. I felted a purse, by hand, using the wool from the sire one of my llamas. The trim pieces are from another llama and one little piece of alpaca wool. It was fun. I think I would wound myself if I used needles. Lol Thank you for another wonderful video! And congratulations again on 25K! You deserve it! ❤

Loving the gnome! I tried it and stabbed myself too much lol. I also don’t have that much strength in my hands and wrists but love seeing your! I’m so please for you. My camera issue has stopped my videos but I’ll keep you posted when I get my filming fixed! Lots of love xxx

Girl honestly I needle very slowly ... this actually took 2 full hours to make ... I did a tonne of needling off camera ... so it is relatively safe if ya just just watch the needle 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 and thankyoooooo ❤❤❤❤

He looks great and congratulations for reaching 25k! I have quite a lot of supplies for this already so I won't need to spend anything... I even have wool carders to make my own carded wool! My favourite craft is anything to do with yarn. I will knit socks for my family this year, just have two more pairs to go.

My favourite craft is basically whatever I’m working on at the minute! Papercrafting is the one I spend the most time on, but I’ve rarely found a craft I don’t like and my ever expanding stash proves it.😂 Your gnome is absolutely ADORABLE as are your penguin and robin! There’s just not enough hours in the day to make all our fun stuff, is there?!! I look forward to celebrating your next 25k! ❤️

Any craft for next year, hmm tricky one... my true passion is making things for children that are less fortunate than other children. What that something is I don't know, something that says fun, love and most of all that someone does care about them... I got a real buzz from the shoebox appeal. Any ideas from anyone would be appreciated, (oh I live in the UK so no fab dollar store).

Watching your video made me wonder about the human who thought poking a needle into raw wool would be a good time for all. From there my mind went back to paying attention to the video. At one point I had to decide the gnomes gender. I thought... well dummy it's a male. It has a beard. Or maybe it's a female post-menopause. 😳

Very quick question tho, other than the colored wool, do u still need the batting?
heyyyyy lovely .. sorry it is taking me so much longer to reply lately xx I am still working my way through x ... If you dont use batting you will end up using A LOT OF WOOL which is expensive compared to batting xx
