Yes. Bluegrass and folk (Nordic etc) are my favorites. Something about the music itself feels right

Glad that is made a resurgence. So much more to it than some people give it credit for. Rock owes it's origin to bluegrass.

    verse 1
I was born on a windy mountain
Bramwell, West Virginia is my home
A small mining town in Mercer County
But as a boy I swore I would never dig that coal
Like a boy I swore I would never dig that coal
    verse 2
When I was sixteen, I jumped a freight train
Gone to seek fortune with a song
This old guitar, my only companion
Lord, I was born to be a stone
    chorus
And I travel the world from Maine to California
But I don’t see where the treetops cover the sky
This old troubadour is longing for the hills of West Virginia
And I’ll go back to the windy mountain before I die
I’ll go back to the windy mountain before I die
    verse 3
I had a daughter on a windy mountain
With golden hair and crystalline blue eyes
A house and a family she counted on
Why I jumped that train, he broke his art in half
    chorus
And I travel the world from Maine to California
Left some pretty girls with tears in their eyes
But the one I really love is back in West Virginia
I’ll go back to the windy mountain before I die
I’ll go back to the windy mountain before I die
    verse 4
When I return to the windy mountain
And God is taking me home
Bury me where the wind howls
And put those lonely words on my stone:
    chorus
"he traveled the world from Maine to California
Now he rests where the treetops cover the sky
An old troubadour in peace in the hills of West Virginia
He went back to the windy mountain before he died
Now he lives on a high, windy mountain.”

Just saw this great Bluegrass TALENTED band at Randy's Pickin' Parlor in Bloomingdale Georgia. Spoke to Steve again and 1st time I met Skip Cherryholmes (met Molly a few years back), Zack at 19 years old is phenomenal (his whole family was there including his little sister)> Had a chance to speak to Jason, and newcomers Jamie and Jacob. Folks, these are the real thing and they really know how to bend dem strings. If you don't make an effort to see them then you do not appreciate Bluegrass!!!

I really like the music. Sounds similar to the music in Bonnie and Clyde and sometime featured Bristol Darling with the Boys on Andy Griffith. Denver Pyle was Bristol. That was a real group with real musicians, though their name escapes me now. TV daughter Charlene did some singing with the group. There are a few Polka Bands which now feature fiddles bass fiddles, and guitars in their ethnic folk music.

    verset 1

I saw your band perform on the show Song Of The Mountains, in the location called The Cavern, and I enjoyed your music. However, when you play on a stage for an audience, my suggestion is for all of you to wear identical sport jackets, shirts, and string ties. so that you present a professional appearance, and show that your are a cohesive, serious, and dedicated band, who take pride in their appearance and presentation to the audience, rather than looking like a bunch of bluegrass players showing up for a practice, and wearing any clothes that they feel like wearing.
