Just because JJ said it doesn't make it "inherently biased". Also why Micah over TJ? Does he have more impact in games than TJ on a consistent basis? Because the splash plays, especially during crunch time, still favors TJ. Micah is more versatile, as in moving him around, but TJ has more sacks, PDs, FFs, FRs, INTs, TFLs, and pressures than Micah. Therefore TJ has more impact. You know where he's coming from but apparently, people aren't stopping it no how. Albeit, Micah is still my no. 2
the crazy dallas has a whole defense , when its been highsmith tj, cam has been out, people dont look at minkah anymore .and it didnt change a damn thing but dallas loses one player and shit goes to hell on that side please explain how they are even in the same category
Yeah… TJ is clearly playing better, especially after the games today. Micah is gonna get hyped up as the DPOTY as long as he’s a cowboy, but that doesn’t mean he deserves it. I’d argue Myles Garrett over Micah tbh
Wingo pretty much nailed the list. Tj and Micah are literally the best right now. Debate which is better but both are literally causing nightmares for OCs
TJ plays for a historically defense oriented franchise. Steel curtain, 2010 Steelers, a LEGACY of heavy hitters on D and he owns the franchise sack record at 28.... insane.... hes got like 5 years left on his prime if hes lucky. As of now hes the first guy to ever lead the league 3 times in sacks. TJ is THE GOAT.
Why does “game planning perspective” matter? Sure Micah is a specimen and has the ability to wreck the game in many facets. But… the stats are what gets you in the mvp conversation. And TJ leads all of them from a “less versatile” position. I feel like im missing something.
Steelers have just been winning for so long everyone hates admitting when we have something special. Could you imagine if TJ Watt was carrying some little shitty NFC team who hadnt seen an above .500 season in a decade? He would already be in the GOAT conversation not just DPOY.
They know exactly where Tj is going to be almost every play and still can't stop him.

Good insight
Couldn’t have said it better
Tj watt changes games , I’ve yet to see that from Micah
Where Daniels argues OC game plan for Micah over watt, I can argue impact and splash for watt over Micah.

I’ve watched TJ win the Steelers games. That’s hard to do as an edge rusher.

The entire AFC north is defense oriented. Which is really cool.

Parsons has been quiet the last two games. How can you tell me parsons is better. What has he done 🤣

TJ is far more impactful than Micah
