@@VonPitt84 agree with the Heyward statement but coach did it again we made it that team fought hard nobody expected it from that team after week 1 every player in that locker room has said the reason they did it is because of Mike Tomlin.
And I don’t think he has to go yet but it’s for sure almost that time for heyward.

Noll wasn't looking to be their friend and he really didn't care how they "felt" about him. He created a teacher/student relationship; he showed them what he EXPECTED of them and insisted that they listen and replicate. One last thing: he had a standing order: " If I have to motivate you, I'm going to fire you". Nuff said...
Mason did good for his first playoff start I hope they keep him
Unfortunately it’s a business. Mason won’t stay because other teams will want him and the Steelers put him in the doghouse for years.
@@victoryasher1729 Mason has been a good soldier overall and kept a remarkably positive attitude given the circumstances, never really getting a fair shake by not letting that turn him into a locker room cancer. But the Mitch T signing was such a slap in his face, I wouldn't blame Mason for wanting to leave.
Especially after the weird official QB depth chart affair... which can only be interpreted as the organization putting Kenny's feelings ahead of giving Mason his due even if just for a few weeks. I mean, dude was more than just a hot hand... he's probably the single biggest reason (among others, to be fair) that the team the playoffs in the first place.
Outside of that bad pick in the end zone, he really didn't play so badly. His pass-catchers let him down on few times. Pickens has made tougher plays than securing that pass near the right corner of the end zone... wasn't at all routine but the pass was a decent one that hit his hands. Catchable for sure, especially for a guy like GP.
Still, that throw should have went to Diontae in the back of the end zone. So Mason is not without blame there. The difference in the game was ultimately turnovers... despite George's fumble and Mason's pick early in the game.. they came within one score in the 4th quarter.
Defense just couldn't stop the Bills offense enough. And Allen avoided throwing even one pick, which most people thought we could count on.
Tough loss but this team was playing with house money... I hope Mason comes back but I won't hold my breath.
I hope he plays for a team. That gives him a real chance. He deserves it
Hopefully the steelers.
Steelers should keep him as a Starter next season.

WE have supported Tomlin; for at least 10 fruitless seasons, 5 early exits from the playoffs, being outscored 66 to ZERO in the first quarter of those playoff games. Yea he definitely did good for his first playoff game. He absolutely showed that Steelers grit and confidence. I was a little concerned about it, I won't lie, but he stepped up and got into a rhythm and brought us within a touchdown. If the defense was able to get a stop, Mason would've go us into the endzone again

It's crazy to think the season's over. Feels like it was just yesterday I was excited about training camp and OTAs. It's amazing how fast the season went. Proud of my boys. Proud of this team. Now comes the long wait until next season. That in itself is a bummer. Here's to next year.

It's just that I don't believe the Steelers are going to pay him what other teams do, I don't think Mason would want to stay in Pittsburgh with the way he's been treated most of his career here by the team and fans, and Kenny Pickett is the starter next year with a new OC. I'm not sure any young QB could thrive with Matt Canada as their OC. You saw what Pickett did 4 days after Canada was fired. Imagine how he's going to do with an actual NFL OC! Keep your chin up Jake. Good times are coming.

Cam needa ring 😕☹️😔😢 along with the other Veterans on this team. It’s hard to win in the NFL. Injuries, referee calls, opponent, and luck all play a big part in it. If certain games or plays went a different way, we’d be having a different conversation today. Hindsight is 20/20. Can’t live in the, “What-ifs.” It’ll be an interesting off season. Let’s reload, retool, and prepare for next year, fellas 💯🙏🏼
Cam and TJ are both very respectable leaders and there is plenty of talent in the group Mason did well the running game has really come around and I think they will be better next year than this there are just too many names to thank right now for their winning season thankful to ali of them

I love Cam and TJ but if they don't want to play for another coach well that is their choice but the reality is the team beeds a new HC and if they don't want to play inder a new HC I love them but guess itvwill be time for them to move on. I never would have made it in Pro sports, Constantly getting arrested for slapping reporters for being worse than the fans when they're at their worst.
This team made the Playoffs battling their Identity and still kept battling. So many gave up, fire everyone.

You did what we could do in that game without tj strip sack in the Game I see a few bad plays on defense but besides that down 21 is tough to get close in the 4th just could not get a sack or take away hell of a job guys
Just putting this out there maybe if the defense wasn’t on the field for 75% of the game through 14 weeks we wouldn’t sustain so many injuries just a thought

In all honesty i hope most of this team returns. There is only a couple of starters that i think we need to change. Even mist of the the guys that came in late due to injuries played well. Definitely want the lbs back that got hurt early ,and think Jack still has some good ball left. Mason should be qb 1 all off season. Make Kenny legit beat him out . I like Krnny Mason is just further along in development and it showed big time. Hope Cam comed back for sure

Where was Pickett today?
A couple reporters noted that Kenny wasn't around during media availability after the game or today.
Media availability is generally for guys that played. If Kenny had played they most likely would have won. I'm just giving my opinion. He was taking that step after the Canada firing, but he got hurt and they made a mistake playing Rudolph the rest of the way. Rudolph should have played ahead of Trubisky and when Kenny was healthy he should have stepped back in. The goal isn't the playoffs, it's a Super Bowl.

I think Fathead felt threatened when they drafted him and he did everything he could to turn the coaches against him. He should have been The guy Kenny's rookie year. They should have brought in a real OC in 2022 also. Then Kenny takes over this year and hits the ground running. We have wasted two years with a joke of an offense. Tomlin needs to get this right or he needs to be gone!

The players that speak up for Mike Tomlin love him because he doesn’t hold them accountable for their actions because if it was about winning they would have nothing to say concerning him. So if fans don’t like the way the organization is going concerning the coaching staff, show them by not showing up at the games.

THIS. I’m glad I’m not the only one that’s noticed this. I’ve actually noticed for quite some time. When she asks a question, you can tell the players and Coach T sometimes take a sigh, or pause before they give the most generic answer and I can see why.
These reporters apparently don't know STEELERS Traditions.
Knoll retired a Steeler, Cowher retired a Steeler, and so will Tomlin.
You don't get a job coaching the Ring Masters win a Superbowl and just run off of somewhere else.

I beg of the Steelers to try and find a good offensive coordinator draft jj McCarthy in the 2nd round and let him sit for a year and learn the offense and see what happens Kenny Pickett is not the answer and with mason playing so well he’s gonna want a big pay day and I’m not super comfortable doing that when he could only give us a small sample size of what he can do
I thought they should have thrown Kenny in just for the hell of it but who am I 😢 Mason Rudolph didn't have a good start they could have thrown him in for a few plays sucks watt couldn't play 😢 my biggest problem is the o line granted they started to play better than the start all the defense players come back and healthy are defense is good drop mitch draft a qb and center an lb and keep on trucking and thr refs need ro held accountable I'm sick of watching them make mistakes after mistake I don't see mike t going anywhere here we go steelers here we go

I’ve seen both KP and Mason play live. Mason is so much better. He needs some good coaching and training, he isn’t perfect by any means. But, he is way better than KP.

We definitely should keep Mason, but Mike tomlin must either retire or adjust more and better to situations in game and to the circumstances with the team like evaluation of players, Mason Rudolph being a 3rd string is unacceptable, how did he not win the 2nd string position? Makes no sense. On another note we do not adjust our scheme or plays as the game goes along throughout the entirety of the game, we just run the same plays over and over again and we get the same results then we try to play hero ball and win it in the 4th forcing ourselves to be perfect, that's on coaching as well not just the players, it happens to much to be only the players fault, it is Mike tomlin, he is a major part of the problem and if he cannot change for the better we must move on to another headcoach, it's time for the 4th head coach in steelers history
They wasted all that money on Mitch they felt like they had to put him at QB2... they never should have signed Mitch to begin with. Major waste of resources and a roster spot. Not to mention a huge slap in Mason's face.
Funny how quick the fan base forgets why we drafted Mitch in the first place. I wasn’t happy drafting Mitch either bc I didn’t see how being a backup in buffalo would make him better. But Mason was 3rd string bc he wasted his last opportunity with bad qb play, and we were paying Mitch to be #2.
I think we need legit coordinators and we’ll be in a better position going forward.

It wasn’t a good season. Y’all in these comments blind. We’ve kept way too many people on board players and coaches for way too long. Our standard is mediocrity. We’re watching teams like the chiefs, 49ers, bills, ravens etc build dominant franchises while we sit and watch. We’re not aggressive in free agency, we don’t make any big moves in the draft. We’re a “safe” organization and that doesn’t win championships anymore

Way to fight hard until the end. I'm standing with coach Tomlin and glad he is coming back! Amazing how some folks only bring up certain stats with Tomlin. Just blindly overlook the 181-110-2 record, two SB appearances with one SB win, two AFC titles, seven division titles, and eleven playoff appearances. Sure, we all want more playoff wins and I get that critiquing of that, but out of 524 head coaches in NFL history only 23 have more than eight playoff wins. Winning NFL games isn't easy. Unfortunately, some have attacked Tomlin more than just only critiquing. Go Steelers!
