While not a Barbie related comment, your lovely wishing well reminded me of a dear friend who has since passed away. He made and sold wooden wellsbof varing sizes for peoples' yards. The money raised went to help a cat rescue organization. Thank you for the memory.
@@renaerickson4190 I can understand that. I've been making a small shop and have started 3 other crafts since then, including the well. I remember someone saying there's no shame in setting a craft aside for awhile and going back to it when you're feeling inspired.
@e.d.t. I suspose but, then you have all the clutter! Lol. But, I guess that goes along with being a doll collector or hoarder! Should. I say it all started when I was little or younger I had a passion about! Dolls!!! And barbie! Lol.
Thanks. I actually did paint the bottom inside darker off camera, you can kind of tell in those final shots where I have the well in front of the backdrop, but I did a sloppy rushed job on it so I wasn't trying to focus on it too much 😅 Initially my plan was to mix black paint in with the mod podge to tint the water but forgot in the moment because I was trying to wrap it up.
I love your work. Being new to miniatures I find it hard to figure out sizes for things. Would you possibly have templates for your houses and accessories. I would love to recreate some of these.
Thank you. I made templates for my more recent table and chairs craft and magazine craft, but I haven't gotten around to making digital templates for the other items. The best way for me to determine sizes is to grab a doll or two (an adult male and female) and use them to gauge what sizes things should be. Sometimes it takes a little trial and error.
Thank you. My degree is in animation and graphic design, but I guess my interest in both art and dolls is what got me into crafts. I did have a few art classes that involved crafting, but it was random stuff like giant sneakers and vegetable masks, where they didn't really tell us how to make things but mainly wanted us to be creative.
It's hard to say because I don't work on crafts every day, just whenever I'm in the mood. I worked on the well for about half a month and the house took over a month, but as for how many actual days and hours I spent on them I'm not sure.
The first craft I’ve seen like this and❤❤❤❤❤❤❤10 thumbs up!
Thanks so much 🙂

Oic I started a doll house a year ago! Lol. And still have, not finished it! It takes me so long to make things! It seems there's never enough time!

Do you have a mechanical engineering degree or background? Your miniatures are always so well-constructed and meticulously detailed ❤

How long did it take you to make, your house and your well? If you dont mind me asking?
