Great pickups! I notice that there are a lot of fake ps4 controllers being sold (for example, new in packaging + charging cable for 20 euro) How do you know if its not a fake?
I've had a lot of those fake controllers in my hands and you can really tell when you hold them. They weigh less, the quality feels different and you can feel it in the buttons when you press them.
Lekker man.
Gr retrohoeknoord
Local CEX permanently closed. Are you from Amersfoort? I heard that they where closing that store the beginning of this year because it wasn't profitable (better it never made a profit). Note that CEX in the Netherlands already closed a lot of stores. Somehow an English CEX store in a small town makes 4 times the money compared to the best Dutch stores. Best selling stores in the Netherlands Zaandam and Rotterdam. Half of the still open stores are still underperforming.
@@DutchGameHunter This spells nothing good. After Heerenveen, Groningen, Amersfoort, Oostpoort Amsterdam, etc. closed looks like the chain is slowly retreating from the Netherlands. I know that Oostpoort Amsterdam closed already several years ago and that the shop was also closed because the lease went up with an incredible amount. At that time somebody from the staff told me also that they rolled out shops way too optimistic and too fast. We'll see how it develops. Looks like the Netherlands is a difficult market, the only pawn concept that seems to prevail is Used Products. Cash Converters an Australian chain also tried the Netherlands (started over 25 years ago) but the concept failed somehow at the peak they had over 30 shops in the Netherlands. I believe there are still 2 Cash Converter shops open (Rotterdam en the Hague). And a few years ago Cash America was ready to launch several stores but the world wide health epidemic throwed a spanner in the works.
perhaps it would be an improvement if they also took in the old retro. But here you always hear the excuse that they don't have well-trained staff for this. They've probably never heard of retraining here 😂
@@DutchGameHunter Totally agree old retro could be an important think. About training, maybe they should also use the franchise model. It's a pity that the Haarlem store was closed despite that sales did well. Besides that they could also change the location in a town if rents go to high.
Last Saturday I did a insane deal.. - A complete ps2 console + 2 controllers - A sega mega drive 2 complete with games - A gameboy complete with case and lots of games - 17 Ps3 games.. For 20 euros 🥵🥵🥵
“Meneer PlayStation 3” ahahaha nice. Great episode 🎮

Look on Google "PS4 controller fake vs real" and you'd find your answer easily

De 360 tikt bijna de 20 jaar aan en dat is meestal het moment dat het nog meer gewild is dus je bent op het juiste moment begonnen.
Never knew the white one was so rare. It’s my daily driver ps3 I got at a yardsale
I only found out when I actually went looking for the white version.

The Dutch CEX stores are not franchises, as most of the stores in UK. So people working in Dutch stores have no skin in the game, which says it all.
No my local was Haarlem. Manager said sales were fine but CEX refused to renew the lease because of the huge increase.

i picked up a super slim ps3 for £20 at carboot.
Good for you, that's a great score!
@DutchGameHunter well said dg,also going to pick up some sealed limited edition 3dsxl and 2ds xls not cheap this week.
@8:53 did this ps3 console ended up working?
That deal was actually not a PS3 but a Gamecube with Mario Party 5 still in it. And yes it turned out to be working fine.

That's a once a lifetime deal 🤩
@@DutchGameHunter I hope not hahaha!
touché 😄
why did CeX close their Haarlem branch do you know?
Because the rents here are going through the roof. It's a bloody shame!
dang
@EdHunts what was a 10 minute ride has now become 40 minutes 😭
@@DutchGameHunterThat’s the same drive I have to do to go to the closest cex here
Is this the only dutch CEX that closed recently? There are now only 10 left in the Netherlands. And game mania also closed down.
❤😊😊😊
