    Hi!! thanks so much for you videos!! I have a A6400 + a 50mm macro lens. The descripcion in Amazon for the Godox MF-R76S+ says this: "High compatibility: Equipped with 8 adapter rings, high compatibility with lenses of diameters: 49, 52, 55, 58, 62, 67, 72, and 77mm. The Godox MF-R76S TTL macro ring flash is compatible with Sony cameras."...will it be compatible with my lens?? TIA

    Do you know when the flash will come out for canon cameras ?

    Awesome video! Do you have any suggestions for a case requiring no setup/breakdown of camera components? Setup is a6400 w/ 90mm lens and Godox ring flash.

      I recommend you buy a generic bag like the neweer one mentioned in the blog post and buy some foam inserts and cut it yourself to make your own custom case 😀

    Great detailed video! Do you still recommend Sony A6400 over a full frame such as Sony Alpha 7 II? Thanks 😊

    • @TwoDentists
      @TwoDentists  6 місяців тому

      They are both great options! The A6400 is smaller and more lightweight but the A7 II is full frame and can allow more light in.

    do you know when the twin flash is coming out for nikon?

    i have the sony 90mm macro lens with a7 III and the godox twin flashes. The auto focus is too slow with alot of focus breathing although am using the lens with .25-.5 m switch. its slow to a limit that i am using manual focus with pixel peeking but it is becoming hard when i want to take photos with contraster or a mirror .. i was wondering if you are having the same problem and what are your focus settings ? Thanks in advance !

      Similar setup to you, I would never use autofocus, there's not enough light for it to focus properly even with the modelling light, and it will affect the consistency of your shots, pick a certain mag for each view and use the focus peaking

    • @TwoDentists
      @TwoDentists  6 місяців тому +2

      Yes I agree manual focus will provide most consistency but I have also had great results with manual focus when I want to quickly take photos. Make sure the modelling light is on full power on the MF12 and the best setting for autofocus is to change the focus area to "centre fix". Doing this had me it much more predictable. The only time centre fix does not work is when taking full occlusal photos. In that case, I point the centre fix focus point to a premolar or molar and half press to get focus and lock it, and then move the frame to capture the full occlusal area and then full press to capture the image.
      Hope that helps!

    Can you make a video or short about the how many times we should brush our teeth and best times for brushing your teeth (for example, the night before sleep and after waking up) and explain the reasons?

    Hi, looking at my first dental camera setup, Looking at the Sony 90mm macro lens and the Godox ring flash shown in your video. I am deciding between the a6400 and a7c, which would you recommend for a novice? price difference is around £350

    • @TwoDentists
      @TwoDentists  6 місяців тому +1

      If you don't mind the extra cost the A7c is a better option in my opinion as you get a full frame sensor with more autofocus points, and it's still relatively compact compared to some other full frame cameras. let me know how you get on 👌🏼

      If you have the lens try it, if you don't have the lens don't buy it. Buy one of the recommended lenses, why buy this one? 😁

    I’ve just bought the Godox MF- R76 (non-dental specific) to use with a6000 and Samyang 100mm macro lens. I’ve unfortunately found that the modelling light is just too dim to illuminate things enough to be able to see the teeth in both viewfinder and on the display, even at full power. When the flash fires, the pictures come out fine but this defeats the purpose of being able to use focus peaking. Is this something you have found with this version? Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong/ideas on how to counteract this? Thanks!

    • @TwoDentists

      Try turning the "live view display" setting to OFF. Let me know that helps 👌🏼

    Are these really better than a Canon MR14-EX mk II???

    • @TwoDentists
      @TwoDentists  5 місяців тому

      The canon ring flash is an amazing flash. I would argue that for the price the Godox ring flash is better value for money

    • @gdtex3297
      @gdtex3297 5 місяців тому +1

      @@TwoDentists I can totally see your point...vfm is important...prices of the MR14XEX [Mk i or mkii] are steep. Mk are typically £275-£300 and Mkii are £550-£600. IMO the difference between the MKi and MKii are not worth the money. In DLSR you very quickly get into the law of diminishing returns...ie the first £300 you spend on a flash/prime lens provides the biggest leap in quality you will ever see [like 50% jump]...after that you'll be spending £thousands to get a 5% jump...
