Yep Orcust. The new Striker Links coming in a few sets (and the Azalea that's already out) are also going to be pretty nice there later, so keep an eye out for them whenever that happens. H.A.M.P. is also funny because you can use it as a makeshift Kaiju even if you're Crescendo locked by going into Azalea/Zeke/etc., and that trap's GY effect can also search H.A.M.P. directly(or recover it from Banished if you or an opponent use it as Bystial Food or something). It's probably not needed this format if Purrely loses popularity, but still interesting to note. Also don't forget to throw in the singleton Scheiren for unbricking, you'll probably need it. Chain Havnis could also make for a funny bluff play, and there's no real reason to not run Reasoning with THAT many Spell/Traps, not like you care if they hit an Orcust name with it, worst case Girsu goes to GY early. Fenrir with Kashtear as a search target are also potential options if you like running more than just the Scheiren, but at that point it's getting close to a different build entirely(I like how Orcust Striker Tearlaments abbreviates to OST, which is funny considering the musical theme of Orcust). Speaking of Bystials, I've found those work pretty well against Labrynth in general, and are great punishes for things like Virus activations or a Big Welcome targeting a monster in the GY(which is pretty common with their "Turn 0" plays, and sniping the clock as it activates also ruins them). They're also neat for making Chaos Angel to give your board battle protection and throw out a Spot banish on anything(even one of your own cards if you need to hit something you already used this turn to set up with Galatea or whatever). Beast pops also make for a nice backrow removal option but it's Main restricted for some stupid reason. Biggest con to running them though is that using Regained to revive them or running them as interruptions gives you less chances to grab something from an expended/milled Crescendo, forcing you into a more Dark Machine focused extra deck that won't be as great until the new Striker Links come out. Speaking of which, that Extra Deck has more flex space than it looks, I don't like Unicorn if you're already on S:P,(yes discarding bricks I know, but if you're at the point you can make Unicorn you shouldn't need to) and Selene relies too heavily on opening those Effect Veilers, which could get hit with Bystials anyway(the sided in Drolls help there at least). You REALLY don't need all 3 of Bomber, Zeroboros AND Accesscode, so picking 1 frees up 2 more slots for utility like a Zeus or Ty-Phon, or even a Hayate if you want to threaten a direct attack for game or mill an Engage after using/dumping a bunch of spells. Lib and Justiciar are basically the same card as far as an Orcust list like this with no other Synchro options goes for the most part(with Girsu on an empty board being the easiest way to make both via its tokens), to make Justiciar your Girsu mill can be anything as long as you can put it directly under a monster(it can throw a token at the opponent to do that, shut off Evenly Matched and ensure Long can point to something if done on your far right), though you'd have to run a World Chalice(the machine itself is fine) to get extension out of it. For Lib you'd need to discard/mill your World Wand or use/mill one of your targets to grab with the Lib in advance(Succession is the most usable one there, Awakens, Secret and Survivor are also potential options if you want to go deeper). There are arguments for running one or the other, but you never need both and are honestly fine with neither if you care more about consistency than extension(though I think for a deck like this GAS matters).
I'm curious to see how the deck changes when we get Camellia. I feel like it'll make this deck a lot more viable since it gives us access to striker cards generically and under droll.
I never played Striker Orcust back in the day, so forgive me if this is a stupid question, but without Mermaid, how do the 2 engines work together? What's the synergy?
If you open harp (or knightmare) + drones (or engage), you can go drones summon token, token into kagari, add back drones, activate drones for another token, make barricade borg blocker, blocker eff to pitch the orcust monster and go orcust lines from there. Outside of that, the striker engine is just a free 1 card link 2, which a lot of cards can do now, but it does have the option to search an additional interrupt (widow anchor). I played back then and with mermaid, it was the more consistent version of orcust + engine dot deck, but it had the lower ceiling of the 2 main variants that were around back then.
@@turtle-bot3049 Ah, I got you. Sadly, I don't really think the Striker engine really does much within the wider context of Orcust based on your examples other than giving you a free pitch from hand to get your Orcust engine off the ground, and chances are you'd be able to do that anyways without the Strikers in the first place.
@@ak47dragunov yep, that sums it up perfectly. Folks will keep with the deck though since it was popular back in that format. As for the modern orcust versions, I have seen bystial and horus versions that look fairly promising and on the right day, with the right build and pilot the old Cyber Dragon version could do ok as well, since it had a ceiling closer to modern decks, it just lacks the consistency of modern decks.
I love how we all immediately looked up "Orcust" as soon as we saw the banlist update
NOW WE’RE COOKIN’ 🔥
Best deck!
We gonna go x-5 at locals but damnit if we aren't gonna have fun doing it let's gooo!

Love the list would love to see some combo lines/gameplay of the deck!
Ayo I’ve been waiting for this for so long! (Total of about an hour)
Would you recommend pure Sky Strikers or Orcust Sky Strikers?
Pure sky striker.
Personally SS orcust
40 cards all gas, such a fun deck to play!
Awesome now we need a combo guide on how to play this deck.
Will we be getting an update on your Striker Guide?
ROTA is missing! Maybe for 1 allure? Also does Not lose Hard to droll since you still can combo with 1 Arma or grepher
Is this a going 1st or 2nd deck ?
We are not going into an orcust format💀💀💀💀
