Remotes to my 2007 Mitsubishi Outlander stopped working after I changed a dead battery. Lock smith wanted $225.00 to come to my home. I used your video practicing at my laptop before I went to my garage. I open the garage door to my surprise the doors were already locked , the remote was programmed from over 30ft away from the vehicle working perfectly. Great advice

I was just about to go pay for it to get it programmed...but I watched this video and tried it...bam!...it worked...I'm so happy now..I was pissed off earlier because I bought the wrong battery...then the pad didn't have a backing on it...I bought a set of new key fob cases twice...still didn't work...but now I'm happy it works...damn I love you tube..and this guy saved my day...good shii!..

You legend! 2015 mitsi lancer, worked a treat. I tried other videos saying hold until the blinking stopped, or hold for 3 seconds, get in and out if the car like a fool. Nope, get in your car, specifically count the blinks. Worked first time.
Just replaced the battery in my 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer's fob. Thank you for your simple to understand instructions on reprogramming it!

For some reason my wife's 2015 ASX forgot the key that has been in use for the last 5 years. Replacing the battery did not fix it but your simple method allowed us to use the key again. Considering they were asking AU$300 for a replacement key, this was a bargain, Thanks

That was my idea. Save you $100 or more from being ripped off at the dealership for programming you key that you can do it yourself in 2 min.

Worked perfectly! Probably saved me a lot of time and money too. Got the battery replaced ($21) and they said if that doesn’t fix it they would need to do more. Bet they would have happily charged through the nose for a 5 second fix.

A warning, I guess: Be careful buying knock-off fob shells. I have a 2008 lancer and picked a replacement shell on amazon. When I changed it out I also replaced the battery. Long story short the new shell had slightly off button heights/sticks and it was always hitting panic, the way it would blink after pressing it led me to believe I needed to pair it again which led me here. Ultimately the fob worked perfectly once I went back to the old shell a few hours later after this video's guide didn't work. Also, that knock-off shell was ridiculously hard to open, I had to use wedges from iPhone toolkit, which is actually absurd.
I'm currently dealing with that same issue, key is programmed to my evo, but I cannot start the car now. Even with the battery in hand in it's pack. This has been a fucking nightmare
2008 Lancer here too. I broke (small crack) at the spot where you are supposed too pry it. It amazes me how people will try to profit a small 5-10 % more on selecting a cheaper material. From the Car industry to the Landlord rental industry. Any hoot, i put scotch tape on it to keep it secure. Now I fear that if I drop the key, it could break again. Don’t trust strangers, they’re not your friends nor your family 😅
