How To Reprogram Key Fob for 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport

- This video shows you how to reprogram or program your key fob to a 2015 Mitsubishi sport. It may work for other year models I'm not sure but you can try. If I'm not mistaken it works for years 2009 to the present but don't take my word for that because I'm not completely 100% sure.
I want to thank you for your video. My key stopped working, bought me battery but still didn’t work. I called dealer and the cost to reprogram was like 200. I found your video and after some hesitation, I finally got courage to try and it worked! It took me 4 tries but it worked! THANK YOU AGAIN FOR SHARING YOUR KNOWLEDGE! 👍👍👍
That's exactly why I made the video so people wouldn't have to pay outrageous prices to have something done that they can easily do themselves. I hate that I had to talk so fast in the video but I had a limited amount of memory left on my phone so I had to be quick. I'm so glad it worked for you!
Worked on my 2014 Outlander Sport. Owned the car since New. Couple of days ago the keyless entry just stopped working. The method in video worked for me only after I shut the door. Thanks for the vid!
Yes u def have to have all the doors shut for it to work

Thank you so much! I went and had the battery replaced thinking it’s was that! And then the guys said well it might have randomly lost its programming and I’m like what the what?! I sat for an hour at home thinking there’s gotta be a way for me to reprogram this myself and not have to go get the key programmed at Mitsubishi and I found your video! After 3 tries it worked! Worked out great on my 2012 Mitsubishi Lancer. Battery on my key died, changed it out and wasn’t working. This video helped me pair it on the first try! Thanks a million!

Ah man that's great! Those keys can be pretty expensive especially if you have a key with the fob built into it. Getting the spare made is no big deal... Programming those suckers is what costs so much and its rly a rip-off because it literally takes about 5 mins for a locksmith to make AND program the key. So glad it worked for you 😊

Thank you so much! This solved my 3 year problem of not having a programmed key fob it worked on my 2007 outlander. And saved me 300 bucks dealer wanted 220 for a new key and 80 bucks to program it cause of a policy to only program new keys. Again thank you!
You're very welcome. I know how frustrating it can be when your key fob doesn't work and the prices for new ones are outrages but then getting them programmed is next to robbery lol glad it helped.

Thanks I had to hurry thru it because I was using an older phone and it only has so much room left before it was full and just stopped recording. I actually tried to record this 5 times and each time I had to go faster before it stopped on me lol

Yeah that's how it goes sometimes with these key fobs. The 1st time I did it it took me 3 tries but then finally worked lol it doesn't help matters any that I had to talk fast because I only had so much space left on my phone so I could only record so much so I was trying to be fast 😂
I'm rly glad it worked for u tho. This saves ppl a lot of money because those key fobs cost a pretty penny. Some key fobs cost up to $200 and that's not including paying someone to program it for u. That's a huge waste of money when u can just program it yourself.
Like he says, it'll take a few tries, but after try number 3 I got it. My advice, count aloud. Counting on my head the first two times is what I feel messed me up.

Many thanks, it worked on my 2016 outlander. However, when I tried to do the same to my spare key, they both stopped and i had to do it again for one of the keys. Any advice on how to program both?
Man I have no idea. What works for 1 should work for the other. Idk why 1 would stop working after programming the other that's weird.
@@Undead87Army all "reprogramming of keys" require all to be reprogrammed at the same time, your way ONLY reprograms one - it automatically wipes all previously registered fobs.

Sry but I just saw this. There's some stuff at Walmart that's supposed to brighten the plastic on the headlamps. I've never used it. There's Turtle brand Headlight Lens restorer and Maguire's Headlight Coating and then there's Rain-X Headlight Restoration. I guess it's just a question of what brand u prefer
Hello! I have two keys and both were not working. I tried what you said and 1 worked. The other is not working.. any idea? I'm happy at least one works so thank you! I did replace both batteries in them. One thing I remember with the one that worked is towards the end, the car started making a noise like it connected. The second key never does that.

so I hold it for 50 blinks , 2 x then hold both for 30 x and then put in the ignition, take out hold the unlock 30 blinks then hit 2x unlock then run around the car, Then do 60 push-ups, 60 jumping Jack's, 50 burpees and then place it on the ignition one more time and that's it.

When putting the key in do you turn the ignnition on or just slide it in and out of the off position

my key is blinking 25 times after i just replaced the battery of it. I think some of the buttons got jammed when i snapped it back together, do you what that means or how i can fix it? cause now none of my buttons works :(

Trying this method, not working on spare key. Funny thing. One key was working, the other wasn't. I tried this method on the non working key, now it works, but the original key doesn't.....
Does this work on a brand new key or just one that was previously programmed?
Well great question. The 1 I had came with the car and was previously activated to work with my car. I'm not sure about a brand new key but but logic it should work. Its not going to mess it up or anything. Once u get it (or don't) let me know if u wouldn't mind please. All u need to do 1st is get the new key cut to match the old key

@@goldenscorpio5242 You need to have the original key in order to program a brand new key. The Brand new key will not have the RFID thats keyed to your vehicle in order for the ignition step to work. This process is in case the battery in your fob dies I believe

Is it a 2015 or close to that year Mitsubishi outlander sport? If so yeah definitely try it. I thought my battery was dead too but all that happened was somehow the fob just unprogrammed itself somehow

Yeah it works. I'm not sure if it will work on 2014 or not but I think it will. U may have to try it a few times but it definitely works

Instead of "times" u should have put "blinks" or else it may confuse people into thinking they have to hit the buttons that many times instead of holding them down for that many blinks of the red light on the fob
