Just finished my first sem at a state college in new york and you are right , in state colleges you have to really work for the spot in the program. In my program there's about a 20% acceptance rate. I got in with a 3.9 on my pre-reqs , the competition is getting crazier every year. Everyone is getting smarter.
One question Juan , so I am 21 gonna graduate when I am 22 . I want to be MRI or CT certified soon after I graduate so I don't forget material. In this day and age what modality would you choose ? In terms of job stability , security , work life balance , schedule , benefits , salary?
Can you make an indepth video on what CT techs do? And why don't you work in CT if you are certified? You have videos on ct but they don't go into detail . I'm asking bcuz I want to see what to purse after I graduate.

I went to a Private school in Delray Beach Florida but I don’t recommend Private schools.

Yes absolutely as long as your a RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST ARRT (RT) you can go into CT or MRI at any college private or public.
Only things is if you get your A.S. from a Private School then you can’t go get a Bachelor’s at a Public School because your Private School credits don’t transfer.

Yes they do so what I would suggest is get your prerequisites at a State College and if you don’t get into the program in your first attempt then go to a private college because your credits will transfer and it will be cheaper 🙏🏽

I’m 26 years old and have a baby and no career. There’s only one community college near me that offers the rad tech program that’s lottery based and I can apply in 2026. Then there’s a private school where I can apply to this year and could potentially be accepted next year 2025 into the rad tech program. The private school rad tech program costs $54k 😬😅 vs public school $5k.
I would rather go the public school route to avoid getting into debt but I don’t / can’t wait any longer since I need a career to provide for my daughter.
Do you think it’s silly if I just go to private school rather than waiting to see if I get chosen in the community college?
