Pretty perfect video! I really liked your coolant and this transmission oil fluid change. The camera never pans off the area you are working on and if so, it's onto the area that you are working on. Viewers never miss a step. Your videos so far dont have me thinking... Wait, what? I can't see what he's talking about. Or did I miss a step? Anyway, thanks for the great video/camera work, thanks for highlighting the areas and naming the object you're working on. And thanks for posting a video that isnt super slow or fast forwarded too fast.
I used small bottle gear oil for scooters. I didn't use Engine Oil.

You won't need spares. But buy a selection kit of copper washers!

10w30 motor oil is totally different from gear oil.
Honda recommended 10w30, I do that for all Hondas and Suzukis for years

All roads lead to the Honda PCX. I had a Helix and Elite 150. Now I have a PCX because it is reliable and reaches into the future.

I just picked up my first PCX, a 2018! Mitch doesn't specify the oil brand he uses in his video, but it's worth noting that the Honda manual just had basic requirements. 10/30 basically.
Wondering if basic mineral based 10/30 is cool for a newish 2300mi PCX..

Thanks for the video and the lesson, but when using that type of torque wrench I believe the handle should be "floated" in as it should not be touching the wrench front or back of it. Just say 'in...

Aloha, I use 10w-30 that’s what Honda recommends in manual, I do that for many Hondas and my burgman for many years with no problem
I did the same on my Pcx after a wash adding fresh oil, but used Transmission oil 75w-90

This is in fact the correct oil to use - a hypoid gear oil. NOT engine oil!

Use either 10w30 engine oil or 70w90 hypoid gear oil both are recommended by the Haynes manual

yeah, user manual and service manual say it's engine compatible with the gear box. I run w40 or w50 for mine cause I ride a lot

Your oil quality looks good! Don't waste money! Only replace if your bike deep in water - if not just adding. This kind of old just reduce quality after 7, 8 years!

Would using a heavier weight gear oil be an issue. Like 75w90?
I think it is okay to use that, but I feel safer to just follow what Honda recommends
Your supposed to use Honda gear oil.
Don’t have to… they want to say that to you to make more money by using their brand. I use different brand on my 2001 Honda reflex that I put 67,000 miles on, no problem

Just follow the manual what Honda Yamaha Suzuki say... I put 10w-40 in my burgman 400 for 14 years... people can put gear oil like 75w-90 / 80w-90 if they prefer 🤙🏼

@@audiophilipp In transmissions used with 80W90 oil for a long time, the gap between the gears will increase as the gears are worn. When you put 10W30 engine oil in the gearbox that has worked like this for a long time, it may make a noise. There is no sound in Forza 350, everything is as it should be. Already in the running-in maintenance of your new engine, you will see that the factory puts 10W30 oil in the engine and transmission. I've done 100,000km with my other Honda scooters and have had no issues or noise.

Whats the difference between engine oil and gear oil? Because that looked like engine oil you put in
gear oil is heavier and thicker but Honda say engine oil into transmission... that's what manual say also same thing with Suzuki Burgman 400

@@hasann1453 According to my research and i also have scooter. gear oil has ep(extreme pressure additive), and much viscous than engine oil. It also has dithiocarbamate derivatives and sulfur-treated organic compounds which an engine oil dont have. Engine oil cannot be a substitute for gear oil.
@@bepositive14344 No, you know wrong. Engine oil is also available for operation under high pressure and heat and can be put on scooter differentials. Differential oil If you are also so opposed to engine oil, use 10W30 differential oil. Gear oil is not more fluid exact same values (sae)

0.13 US quarts is approximately 123.03 ml.
How often should i change transmission oil?
Every 30 or 40K. Most people NEVER change it. But use the correct oil, NOT the one in this upload.

Hahaha I love my 400, I don’t need more power, 400 is enough for me, I have it since 2007 and still love it. I rode my friend’s 650 and feel like don’t need it... also where I live speed limit is 55, I live on an island
