- Celebrate the passion and depth of the Pokémon Trading Card Game community with “How Do You Play” a new three-part documentary series that focuses on three unique stories from the Pokémon TCG fandom.
Throughout the episodes, you’ll meet a teacher who discovered a way to bond with her students through the Pokémon TCG, a longtime Pokémon fan who turned his childhood love for the Pokémon TCG into a profession and a way to give back to a new generation of Trainers, and a family that has found connection and competition as they support their son and his dream of taking part in the Pokémon World Championships. Each episode helps demonstrate that the Pokémon TCG community is a place where anyone and everyone can play as they want. - Ігри
This series is incredible. Hitting me in all the feels as an adult who grew up loving Pokémon their entire life
I'm not an adult but still love Pokemon as much as I do when I was kid
We have a inner child that we have to keep alive ❤
Same here but those first 10 minutes shed some light about how the hobby is viewed👀
When that kid hugged the guy in return my heart almost melted
That’s kid almost made me cry 😢 ❤
It legitimately made me cry.
yes
I started crying! That was so special.
I’m 34, and I still get that incredible feeling of opening a pack and getting that one special card.
It’s time for us older Pokémon players to step up for the community and give back to the next generation of trainers like Edgar. Awesome series. Hope to see many more like this
This is so emotional. I am literally in tears. Gifting Pokémon cards to young kids for free even he and his family doesn’t have that much and sharing his love for Pokémon with young kids to make them happy is incredible. I want to have a career involving Pokémon even though my parents think it’s not a career. I just want to make kids happy and make them smile by sharing my love of Pokémon with them.
I’m not crying your crying! This really hit home! I love this concept! I can absolutely relate to this!
I’m not crying! I just need to look over here for a bit
The kid at 6:02 is going to grow up and remember the kind man who just casually gave him a $100 Charizard card. I hope that kid takes good care of it. This video was so heart-warming, makes me glad that I've decided to join the hobby. Starting collecting more in 2020, and ever since I've accumulated quite an awesome personal collection that I will cherish till the end of time.
Wow this was an amazing video and seeing the kids smile was really priceless. Huge respect to Edgar for giving the Shiny Charizard VMAX, don't think I didn't see it hahaha. Actually blew my mind giving a high value card for a kid to smile having a card of its favorite Pokémon and I respect that a lot
This story is beautiful and you have such a great heart to be helping kids keep their passion burning and show them an amazing example that there is good in this world.
They finally got a real community and family in here not all that super clean bs houses they use super clean looking models and all that crap im glad they are using real people here wow
I LOVE these kind of short documenntaries that Pokemon makes, I just really enjoy watching them ! 😃
Why can't I get a Pokemon documentary? A Pokemon helps give a path to follow and teaches us inclusivity, diversity, and equity. Be kind and help others as you pursue your dreams. I'm 27 nearing 28 in a couple of months, and still love Pokemon to this day since 1997/1998.
Okay, wasn't ready to cry this morning, thanks Pokémon 😭 Seeing the kids all smile so much and react with such happiness is absolutely priceless
God blessed us with this man and his story
Wow, this guy has such a relatable story, I’m cheering for him as if he’s a movie protagonist 😅 Very well done, Pokémon Company, I’ll be following this already great series
pokemon is so strange we show love then we battle to the death haha love this franchise
Are we not gonna talk about the fact at 6:06 he gave a kid a 500$ dollar card? Now thats what i call selfless.
its closer to $50, but the point still stands.
I have a friend I've met on UA-cam and she gave me the Special Delivery Bidoof as a present, cause she knew how much I loved the card, ever since they showed it in the UA-cam video for the first time xD We were like so excited about the card and how funny it is :D
I'm not from America and didn't have the chance to get the card, but my friend was able to get a code for it and then decided to give the card to me
The( How Do You Play) series is so grate because its amazing to here everyone's Pokémon Story from Old fans to New fans.
Great
oh my god 😢 this episode is sooo heart-warming and I can totally relate! ❤
I can appreciate what this man is doing for these kids because he sparked some sort of kindness in their hearts that they won’t forget.
I recently got out of the Marine Corps but when I was in I developed a pretty bad smoking habit when I was deployed. I kept this up for about a year and then one day I couldn’t catch my breathe walking up the stairs to my bedroom.
Along with my mother begging me to stop smoking and me deciding it was time to get my self back on track I decided that every time that I wanted to buy a pack of smokes, I would buy a pack of Pokémon cards.
My mom would also help me buy packs because she saw that opening the packs made me happy, and it helped me get over whatever I was angry about from the Marine Corps. My girlfriend also helped me and would buy me packs whenever I would get the urge to buy a pack of smokes and she would be just as excited as I was opening them.
I started doing this about a year ago and today I have well over 1,000 cards (maybe a little less than) and I just won my first tournament with my Charizard VStar deck last week after someone broke into my personal vehicle and stole my Leon Charizard deck that I was learning to play the game with.
These cards saved my life in the long run and I will never forget that no matter how old I am, no matter how much people make fun of me, or no matter how much weight I put up in the gym, I will always be grateful for the people who helped me along the way just like these kids will.
I wasn’t planning on crying today, but I did. And I’m glad that it was a Pokémon story that did it.
see, this is how you maintain a franchise, you make sure the next generation has what they need to carry the torch :)
This is so sweet is so nice you did this to show small guys who are involved in their little communities and impackt. I remeber when i was little boy in Poland we ddnt had money for cards and I loved to look at all the packs in stores and wondered whats inside. I recently given away special art Gengar to a kiddo at Manchester Card show and he was so happy ... I saw myself again. I love how cards bring people together. This is great series.
Such nostalgia, this video series is so wholesome
This is why I am a Pokémon fan! Thank you TPCi for creating this beautiful series!
Absolutely brilliant series. Literally, when Edgar tells us it's what keeps the kid in us alive, it's exactly this. I love Pokémon, my lids lovr Pokémon, I'm in my thirties, and seeing this community, it's pure awesome. 😁
He is the definition of “not all super heroes wear capes”
i love this man and his generosity! What a great series. Get the handkerchief out...tears of happiness running down my face.
So emotional ❤🎉😊 keep inspiring all the good vibes that Pokemon gives us 🙌🤗🤗🤗 congratulations to Edgar for the huge and kind heart he has ❤
I wish there were more people in the world who are a good person with others and really love the franchise than other people who only see the cards and everything related only for the interest of reselling them
Put a tear in my eye
Just awesome!! :)
Man, it sucks that these videos don't have enough views. If the channel actually advertised this series as a documentary, people would be more willing to watch this guaranteed. The thumbnail and title don't do this justice.
I loved this video so much, and I'm proud of him.
great story, thanks pokemon.
It'd be an honor to meet ya! I think I recognize the building at the beginning, looks like an old arena in my hometown!
I absolutely love these videos!!
I love this❤ everything i'm watching and feeling makes me feel proud as a parent I understand both sides and it's so awsome because I feel his emotions and I love how he interacts with the kids and how his family supports him ❤ it's wonderful 😊
LOVE this.
pokemon significa tanto para mi, como a ese hijo hablando con padre de lo orgulloso que esta de todo su trabajo, pokemon significa demasiado
What a series!
I like this kind series so much
😢Bro this is one of the best hobbies if not THE BEST...
HEY THAT’S ME ❤
So amazing.

When I think of good men in this world. I imagine people just like this gentleman ❤
bros giving away multiple charizard Vmaxs lol
We want ash back
if he have charizard vs mewtwo SAR will he actually gave it to some random kid that might rip it? pls honest opinion, will you be worried or not?
If you're so generous & want others to be happy why not 🤷♂️
@@maganhassan2627 that would be like a donation check that will gradually lose its worth without security protection
Choose your side Charizard or Blastoise
Why did you take away black and white in Pokémon tv?
I'm so much love for pokemons and I have watch all series and play the different games of pokemon in playstore or rpg games. But i not have any pokemon card to play them my parents and friends say this is waste of money, I can't afford this cards .
I'm from India .
Interesting business strategy lol
It actually does make sense. Most collectors are adults, and you can charge them retail price. But if a kid comes along once in a while, you can give them a card. The kids don’t care about the value, and would love something cheap and cool for free.
I have 886 rare Pokémon cards
Probably just from the last 5 sets
When do we get new starter decks? We only got ex decks so far
Maybe this is the wrong time to ask maybe you should ask for the competitor video
Can't play(((
Esco where the best go
10th person who decided to comment on this video
Pls pokemon dont remove ash and pikachu this was an era dont let this era down who want ash back
I played for 6 years, the meta has gotten me bored of the lack of single prize decks that don't rely on 2 prizers. I miss the Sun & Moon format before tag teams was released.b
😀
I'll tell you how I CAN'T play, and that's Pokemon TCG Live.
Hopefully you use this to rework how you run the business and not repeat past mistakes.
👍
4th
kids who know nothing just annoy the parents to buy this and waste way too much money and then they forget it a year later and the cards become useless
2nd
Bro your dad is just concerned on how you’re gonna be able to provide for a family.

Hey you know what would be awesome? If the PTCGL worked. See it worked before SV was released. I have a very capable gaming machine. But you guys changed something when SV launched and that killed PTCGL on my computer. And your customer support was worthless. Wouldn't help at all and just said they knew about problems and I should watch social media for further info.
Well now Paldea Evolved is out, you've patched the game yet again - still nothing!
I've done everything I can find online - several reinstallations, different internet, mess with settings... everything short of removing my anti-virus and security settings on my internet. Because no other game I've ever played has needed that.
I love the Pokemon TCG, I've been collecting since Base Set. The original base set! But not everyone can afford to travel to events. So PTCGO was awesome! While it had faults and bugs over the years, it always worked! I could hop on and play whenever I wanted!
But PTCGL? It worked for about 3 weeks prior to the release of SV and then broke and no one from the company seems able or willing to help.
I have a Nvidia 2060 super, 32gb of ram, a Ryzen series 8 core processor. I can streak 4K video, and play almost any game in high settings at 1080p 60FPS.
PTCGL wont even get to the LOG IN SCREEN!
No you're crying 😢
He doesn't put sleeves on the pokemon cards, my heart hurts.
FIX TCG LIVE
TF did I just watch?
😠
So instead of fixing the game they do this
I was emotional for a bit, BUT now I'm bummed from remembering that Scarlet is such a bug fest and still looks terrible.
I love this guy. I love how great my Pokémon family is around the world, it’s amazing
