@@LunaticCharade I've had issue after issue with focboxes dying. The MCU gets fried. I work with some EEs and we replaced the MCU, I reflashed the ROM, uploaded firmware and was able to ride it for a charge or two before it died again. What we are thinking is happening is there is some sort of voltage spike being kicked back through the MCU. We replaced the TVS to a bi-directional with a proper rating and added another one across the 2.2k R4 that grounds out the voltage divided power input of the MCU so that we could supress any spikes coming from that direction. I have 2 more MCUs that I can swap out, but it's not an easy swap and their is really no point if it's just gonna happen again. So, I digress.
Hey, I’ve been doing research and I think I’m ready to build my first electric skateboard but I need to make sure I got the right parts Motors: 90mm dual hub motors Esc: 36v dual motors esc form mboards Batteries: Turnigy 5000mAh 3S 20C Lipo Pack w/XT-60 (2x) Charging board for batteries: NIDICI XT60 Lipo Battery Charger 2-6S Parallel Balanced Charging Board Charger: Skytoy iMAX B6
weight .....I feel like that the area that most impactful change can happen .....if they could get them down so light enough to ollie then ill be super happy
I made an account but the mobile site is confusing so I don't know what else I need to do to enter. Edit: I figured it out, you have to pay or something to be a BRO. Not a great way to get people on the forum, no wonder only 11 people joined.
I think Jason there should start a new electric skateboard brand again and that would be a great year for him, I mean you!! 🤷♂️ I think that you have learned from your mistakes and they will not happen again and that you will be successful if you keep pushing forward and I think that’s what you really want to do!!!😁 Do you think positive and positive things will happen
1.Better battery technology. The ranges advertised are fake (be honest), they sag, are expensive, etc. 2.Better overall management. Most if not all, don't record history of distance ridden, nice to have recorded GPS (like apps do) with upload to PC to publish, more settings to control your ride more. 3. More external extensions from the board. Add ability to have stop lights signalled from the board, led controls so if board is turned on then you can control the lights from the remote. list goes on. everyone is simply copying the VESC controller and remotes but nothing big is being done.
All that stuff exists already... I guess the new battery tech will always be an ongoing process of refinement & improvement.... one day esk8 batteries will be fist size & last for days.
@@ElectricSkateboardBuilder show me a board that does those electronics, never seen any.. can be done but for the price increase, they prefer to keep the prices low.
Ffs, when a decade starts is not subjective, it's not an opinion. This decade started on Jan 1 2020. Nobody thinks it started last year & only you believe that it starts next year.
@@ElectricSkateboardBuilder Anno Domini represents the years succeeding the ascension of the Christ. That point in time is known as A.D. or A.C.E. 1 is one year "After the common Era". According to wikipedia booth 0to9 and 1to0 decades are widely used, 0to9 is just more popular. Also when a decade starts is subjective. What is not subjective is that the decade is the period of 10 years. So for example if you say "A decade ago from 2025" that means the year 2015. That decade didn't start at 2010 or 2011, it started at 2015.
Really wish you would put out videos for folks on how to fix our dead Raptor 2s. Nothing like a $1800 paper weight with a useless extended warranty.
Whats the issue?

Thinner lighter batteries. Maybe solid state. Loosing some pounds would be great.
Thanks for the video signe up for esk8 bro
The next electric longboard thing is gonna be wacky truck designs with suspension.
Nice one

Impossible to compete with the china brands at this point...
@@ElectricSkateboardBuilder could just sell the whole kit for something like the raptor. People that like to built would still buy it
